Wow. One of my favorites places. Please leave it like that. Don’t build too much. Leave it as natural as possible. I know progress is importante for economy, but Citrus County is beautiful. Keep it beautiful. Look what happened to Pasco.

Never fear Citrus County Commissioners are building fast as possible.

Actually, they're busy repaving roads that don't need repaving. And doing all they can to slow production of this county by delayed building permits. The good ole boys are still running this joint lol

They are widening roads and doubling the width since 589 came thru. No more turkeys.

The OLD saying in real estate buying was location, location, location. Today the new saying is elevation, elevation, elevation. Don’t buy unless it’s high!

I left Florida for Arizona and never looked back. Been here 32 years since hurricane Andrew and never been in a bad storm since.

After Hurricane Josephine in 1996, it took 3 months for the water to drop. Good luck people. ❤

The withlacoochee is nothing short of majestic and it is natural for it to flood, it's actually beautiful when it does. In citrus and Sumter county I have hundreds of family members that have been on the withlacoochee since the 1920s. You develop a love for this River and its beauty. You're going to flood every once in awhile but it's worth it. Next summer we will be at the natural spring only us locals know about in our airboats slamming some beers and having a good time.

...The Withlacoochee flows north...it's all the excess rain water from Milton, that's draining out of the Green swamp area...

Global warming? It wouldn’t be the first time that Earth was covered in water. I found a sea creature’s fossilized bones on the family farm many years ago 100 miles from the Gulf Coast.
