Wow. One of my favorites places. Please leave it like that. Don’t build too much. Leave it as natural as possible. I know progress is importante for economy, but Citrus County is beautiful. Keep it beautiful. Look what happened to Pasco.
Actually, they're busy repaving roads that don't need repaving. And doing all they can to slow production of this county by delayed building permits. The good ole boys are still running this joint lol
The OLD saying in real estate buying was location, location, location. Today the new saying is elevation, elevation, elevation. Don’t buy unless it’s high!
The withlacoochee is nothing short of majestic and it is natural for it to flood, it's actually beautiful when it does. In citrus and Sumter county I have hundreds of family members that have been on the withlacoochee since the 1920s. You develop a love for this River and its beauty. You're going to flood every once in awhile but it's worth it. Next summer we will be at the natural spring only us locals know about in our airboats slamming some beers and having a good time.
Global warming? It wouldn’t be the first time that Earth was covered in water. I found a sea creature’s fossilized bones on the family farm many years ago 100 miles from the Gulf Coast.
@@kennethloki7011 good sheeple. Question nothing. Not even the news that shows this happening all over the world.... Lemme guess.... the Gov used a weather machine to do this? 😆 Your country is full of nit-wits.

Never fear Citrus County Commissioners are building fast as possible.

@@elizabethobrien8678 Nailed it!
Should have seen it 60 years ago
They are widening roads and doubling the width since 589 came thru. No more turkeys.
Nature is reclaiming her swamp land.

I left Florida for Arizona and never looked back. Been here 32 years since hurricane Andrew and never been in a bad storm since.
@@UncleDavesKitchen Good move, common sense is refreshing these days. LOL
After Hurricane Josephine in 1996, it took 3 months for the water to drop. Good luck people. ❤

Get used to your new normal.
Is it better to leave now While the road has not washed away 🤔
Why? Storms are over and humidity is finally low
...The Withlacoochee flows north...it's all the excess rain water from Milton, that's draining out of the Green swamp area...
Hope they have better luck than we did in Ridge Manor. Never seen flooding like this here.
Thank you. That was interesting.
Prayers 🙏
Swampland can't be developed said anybody with a brain 😂
This is just the ocean now yes? how is this still flooding and rising?
What area is this?
...my guess is state road 200 where it crosses the Withlacoochee...
Apparently Florida is unable to drain its own swamps
Looks like the everglades.
People abould stop building so close to the water. In Florida its not a wise idea actually.
Oh that’s very bad and serious
Water world.
Ive been saying this for weeks. Something is the matter with the planets water table! This is happening all over the world....
😰

No it's not. I mean that's not even hard to verify.

Lets build everywhere in Florida
there goes orange juice prices huh
Most orange juice comes out of California. Been that way since the 90s.
Florida has plenty of orange groves but the fruit just falls to the ground and rots.
Very few orange groves in Citrus County , the freezes of the eighties wiped them out.
@@bbrcummins1984 I remember those days. Funny how prices go up after some disaster but after it's all said and done the prices never go back down.
