DM&E SD40-2s, Soo SD60s, and more on the CP

Back in 2014, a railfan could be surprised by what type of units Canadian Pacific could put on nearly any type of train in the Twin Cities. Long before the DM&E, IC&E, and even Soo Line power was off of CPs roster, there was always a degree of surprise outside of a run of the mill GE leading. While the transfers, and locals, always played host to EMDs, it was always a treat to see matched DME/ICE power.
In this video, we'll see some highlights from the fall, and early winter of 2014. The first portions feature the HAT, Humboldt Avenue Transfer, with a matched pair of DME units. These were BOTH ex Milwaukee Road as well. After that, we'll see some neat all EMD sets of power, and 40s leading the way. The last clip features a Soo SD60 leading an eastbound towards the Twin Cities. Withing just a year or so of this being taken, all the blue and golds would be gone, Soo 60s repainted, and CP 40s mostly stored.

A great video indeed! I really miss the DM&E/IC&E... at least the CP is adding SD70ACus to thier roster now for more variety besides pairs of dirty GEs

2007 was the last time I seen. DM&E engines down in Red Wing . I was working my janitor job . Stopped to watch trains. Seen 2 DM&E engines pull a 90 car load. Nice video. I'm into the ho scale model Railroad. And my plans are to decorate some DM&E. Get pictures of the Address. Do a little bit weathering with an air brush. I loved this video. Sometimes I'm the CV division DVDS. Will see a DME use the BNSF main line to Duluth.
