Yeah, water isn't cheap here either. I put a 2nd (irrigation) meter in to cut the cost. You lawn is looking good! Especially w no rain!

Is Hydra Charge similar to Hydretain? Also what do you use to kill off Johnson grass? I have a small area by my back fence that the other side is own by the city that has Johnson grass.

Both claim to work similarly. Hydretain isn't really a surfactant. It's some type of liquid humectants that attract moisture or something like that. Hydra Charge has 2 different types of surfactant and does have a slow and fast release nitrogen plus iron - something Hydretain doesn't have.

I use the Allett C24 and cut at 5/8” and come up to 3/4” when really hot.

It has both a slow and fast release Nitrogen plus some iron.
