Daft punk
Please please can you do an undertale music one
I’m watching from my backyard trampoline
Phonke…
How do you do it
Hearing Crazy Train played on a slapaphone is something I didn’t think I needed to hear today. Keep up the good work!
not if you didn't know of the Blue Man Group
That song is from trolls world tour
@@yrgarddfechan more like in trolls world tour
He forgot the AI AI AI
His sticking was terrific. He didn’t hit slappers together once.
Also the sound off that thing is really cool. Like an analog synth,
Feeling ready for some Whack-A-Mole games after practicing Crazy Train 🤣
You would crush at it
Your dexterity is amazing
I can play part of crazy train on my alto sax
@@infinitecarz nice bro, I can play a part on my piano
we need a cover of it on the slapaphone
As being a 13 year old percussionist, you inspire me so much to get better and better😁
I am a 13 y o keyboard player, and he still inspires me lol
he got me back into Bass Guitar
Awesome to hear that! All the best to your musical journey!!
yo same, except i'm 14! nice pfp by the way
I’m trumpet! 2nd chair ❤
The way he moved around the marimba was so robotic and exact makes it look even more impressive
This guy never fails to impress me
Same
Oh TELL ME ABOUT I AGREE
I 100% support more Rush covers. That YYZ intro was amazing ❤
Rush is the best
He even had to play the more complicated song that Rush had at that which was Awesome... would definitely like to see Limelight or The Trees
Oh yeah!
@@fyrecracker7201 can't beat canadian classics 🇨🇦
Just remember that it's morse code for Y, Y, then Z and you can get the phrasing down.
If you think we need a full version of crazy train
👇
I was hooked once he went god mode on the slapaphone
Slapaphone is always gold
Now, this isn't art: THIS IS MAGIC! I specially enjoyed Smells Like Teen Spirit and YYZ. Breathtaking.
Nirvana is ass
I love how YYZ sounds like it came out of Final Fantasy 7. I'd love a full version, but I'd also love more Rush songs too.
In my German school we had a "slap-a-phone" but it was called Klo-rohr-phon which means "loo-tube-phone" 😁
You need to do a full cover on crazy train, that sounded fantastic
That would be epic.
Ong
absolutely
Oh, I love Crazy Train and Smells Like Teen Spirit! Great work, man.
Thanks, have a great day!
You are very agile! Props!
Son of a gun > smells like teen spirit
Nirvana is ass
That Crazy Train cover on the slapophone was amazing!
*These songs are absolutely amazing*
😀 Have a great day!

I really love a hammer dulcimer part, Misirlou from Pulp Fiction.😁
It gives it a more Egyptian like the original
Fun fact: "Misirlou" is a folk song from the Eastern Mediterranean region.🙂
No.... It's Pump It by the Black Eyed Peas....
It's very impressive that he's able to play such a wide variety of percussion instruments from all around the world
The main riff of Crazy Train sounds like an Ibiza club night remix. Damn, this whole thing is so good. Again.
What I like most about these videos is the introduction to instruments I’ve never heard of.
I think an interesting song choice would be raining blood by slayer. The intro does contain a lot of strange and cool musical instruments
Seeing my instrument, the 17/16 hammered dulcimer, being showed more than when I started picking it up makes me so happy and yearn to learn how to play my instrument again.
Thank you so much!!!!
_Surf Rock_ on a hammered dulcimer sounds like music from a desert area in a game.
Joe: "Slapaphone!" **shreds**
The majority of my exposure to these songs was music rhythm games, yet somehow I actually recognized all of them. Your rendition of crazy train was especially good!
Joe went God mode on the slapaphone!
And also the drum kit considering YYZ is extrmelyyyyy hard to play. Primus even had a hard time playing it and les clay pool is the best bassets of all time
Gotta love this guy for including some Rush songs in his videos. Great band, great UA-camr.
That Crazy Train Rendition was amazing. Takes me back to the first time I saw a Blue man Group video where they played it
That Crazy Train slapophone bit was absolutely incredible holy wow
You should do Rush songs on different instruments. There are some famous percussion parts in songs like Xanadu and Closer to the Heart, and I think you could also make some interesting interpretations of their other songs with other percussion instruments. Also, you should play La Villa Strangiato on drums. Love your channel btw -- percussion is underrated!
Fun fact: Rush is a Canadian band (if some people didn't know), and for the same people who didn't know, YYZ is the IATA airport identification code of Toronto Pearson Intl. Airport, near Rush's hometown. It also happens to be the largest Airport in Canada.
The band was introduced to the rhythm of ths song as Rush's guitarist Alex Lifeson flew them into the airport, hence thd reason they named it.
0:14: SLOW DOWN I'M TRYING TO KEEP UP LOL
The Crazy Train intro was, well, crazy. Love it!
Guys, I've got a fever! And the only prescription, is MORE SLAPAPHONE!
The Slapaphone makes me feel like I’m riding a horse to go to Home Depot
I'd love to hear full song covers tbh. I've always enjoyed unique instruments covering songs we all know and love.
I have a playlist of full covers I’ve done so far (and some music on Spotify). Have a great day
@@JoePorterPercussion Oh sweet, thanks for the reply Joe.
Crazy train on the slapophone reminds me of that meme with the guy who has 2 rolls of wrapping paper
This guy is just the chad of instruments
Awesome as always
Never stop rocking, Joe.
Bruh the amount of practice, time and, patience this dude has man
YYZ was sick, one of the first Rush songs I learned how to play on drums 🥁
Lamest track on this video.
@@kishascape damn homie you ain't gotta be like that
Funnily enough my introduction to Crazy Train was the skit on a Blue Man Group concert where they tried to play a cover on their PVC instruments only to be interrupted by the "AY, AY, AY" voice and an unexpectedly long-lasting vibraslap.
This slaps! It’s like an 8 bit version of your favorite songs
I really love rock music, thanks for making this video joe :)
Wow all of my favorite rock songs keep up the good work man!
Awesome! Have a great day!
Very nice selection - enjoy your snippets of ensembles.
I was half expecting a loud AYE AYE AYE for the crazy train part
Wish there was a full version of crazy train on slapaphone by this guy
Love it Joe, keep this up man!
Roger that! Have a great day!
These are awesome, would you be willing to put full versions out?
I’m a simple man, I see Ozzy Osbourne and joe porter in the same video..
I watch and I like
I need more rock songs, trying to make a playlist based off all the rock songs you play ❤
You can give this man 2 rocks, and he'll learn how to play them.
totally not me headbanging in the middle of class bc these are pure gold
"Crazy Train" on the slapaphone sounds like the beginning of a badass techno/trance song! \m/
loved this, especially YYZ! in the next video like this one, can you include any song from Death? it would be very cool!
He really got in the zone on the first one
Crazy Train was my absolute favorite! That was really cool. You are excellent with instruments! I have played your Crazy Train on the Slapaphone about 20 times now. LOL!
Did not expect the rush part but we need more of it
These bring me back to my guitar hero days
Thank you for your amazing work!
Have a great day!
a full crotale set??? that's the biggest flex on this channel yet
The crazy train one was awesome!
I Enjoyed this so much
😀
Just amazing ! You continue to impress me
You make it sound way more cooler then it really is keep it up
0:43 damn, I felt that stress relieving sigh 😅
I love percussion and string instruments! I've wanted a hand pan for so long but they are just too expensive ☹️
I'd pay money to hear the full cover of Crazy Train on that. Crazy good
Bro that crazy train solo on slapaphone sounded sick 🔥🔥🔥
Keep up your good work 💪🏼
Very awesome! Love the adaptations!
Joe your very talented with those instruments it took you so many years to make you this good and keep it up🤜🤛😃😃😃
Great work
Your the best❤❤
Dang your crazy train recreation was epic also I have not heard that song in years.
Awesome job!
Please do a full cover of yyz, it’s an awesome song and I love when I hear it, it’s so good my high school is doing a marching band show with it
That slapaphone… ❤
I love how Misirlou sounds a lot more Eastern on the hammered dulcimer.
As soon as I saw drums and the word “Rush” on the screen at the same time, I knew you were a damn good percussionist
Great job
Thanks, have an awesome day!
this version of crazy train slaps hard
I see what you did there...
@@chopper2429 😏
Thank you for playing enough of Crazy Train to not leave us anxious
Whenever I see you play the marimba, the way you move your hands makes me feel like I’m watching some kind of intricate demon summoning ritual and I love it
最高にかっこいい動画ですね😊
これからもがんばってください😆
super cool😊
Thanks, have an awesome day!
@@JoePorterPercussion 返信ありがとう😊嬉しいです‼️very very happy😆
At this point you are making music and percussion look like sport LOL
❤ the vids btw :)
The Crazy Train riff could become the best Trance song in history.
Crazy train intro and verse on the slapaphone?
jesus man. you never cease to amaze
Cool love the vid
Thanks, have a great day!
He's faster than guitar on the slapaphone
Love your puma sandals! 😎👍
Memories of Blue Man Group with the slapophone
0:15 to 0:28 is soo sick - imagine throwing a house beat on it or incorporating it into an epic bass drop
No
i'm a 12 year old bass guitarist and my band is doing a cover of a bunch of nirvana songs including smells like teen spirit so i think its super cool to see possible instruments to learn! thank you for inspiring me😁
Absolutely amazing
First instrument turns any music into techno
Você é muito féra meus parabéns sigo seu canal já faz um bom tempo e não deixo passar nenhum de seus vídeos 👍🏻🇧🇷
Thanks for your support! All the best!
想像以上に良かった!すごい!
you gotta do this again with heavy metal songs like master of puppets
Man, I was hoping there was the slightest chance you put RUSH in this list. You are epic! Keep up the talent and I'll keep up the support!
