I'd love to see a full cover of numb on the tounge drums, as well as a full chop suey cover. You did wonderful with these songs!
+1

I agree. That would be awesome
Pretty sure it would be hard to get permission from the record labels for a full cover. These samples are luckily exempt
@@jayflores4360 Yeah, but it sure would be nice.
I love how Numb almost slunded like a lullaby on those drums. It was beautiful.
Because Linkin Park was for little babies and not real rock and metal fans....
Chester would have loved it. R.I.P
I'm sure you hear this a lot, but I would love to hear a full cover of Chop Suey with multiple instruments.
Yeah
Hand pan style lol
100%
Yes 😁
Agreed
I want a longer loop of 'Wherever I may Roam" on the hammered dulcimer, because I'm going to play it as background for when my DnD group enters a desert city, and see how long it takes them to realize what it is.
I like you
@@gunnart48 Thanks! My initial impressions of you are quite good as well!
You, I like you, awesome Idea for background music tho
Damm, that's a great idea
If they don't get it in 2 notes they may have never heard that song
I’m actually really glad you played the Kashmir riff. I wasn’t expecting it but it’s probably one of my favourite riffs
Wish he’d play the ocean instead
@Don't Read My Profile Photo OH FUCK! I already did. I'm sorry, I promise you I won't click on your pfp and read your banner. have a good day
It’s Kashmir by Led Zeppelin?
We played A short version of Kashmir for marching band a few years ago and I’m so glad that it was played here!
Same here bro
As a huge LP fan, that numb on the steel tongue drums sounded beautiful, would love a full cover with it.
The official sum 41 channal is subbed to you
R.I.P to Chester
meh it was off beat and sounded bad
@@eboncoyote85 first off no metronome or any other instruments to follow and was played purely by memory of the songs pace. Secondly, no
@@Masked_SVincent again, meh - I thought it sounded bad and did a disservice to LP. To each their own though.
How in the heck do you play Marimba so well?!?! The precision at which you set the angles and lengths of the implements used to strike it is amazing... It's like watching a pilot flying a jet using the end of a pool noodle!!
That is an incredibly vivid, near-poetic description coming from someone who consciously chose their name on this platform to be Dingle Flop.
@@asherhockersmith8271 I love the internet
@@lordmuffhucker right? It's the best.
Can we get a full marimba cover of Chop suey!? that was one of the best covers i heard and need more!
Это пожелание всего живаго)
Yooooo chop suey on the marimba went hard
Dude that marimba part was amazing. Just imagine if after he played that rif an electric guitar and drums came in loud af that would be SICK
Mr. Porter, sir, this isn’t enough. You know we need full covers of all of these.
(jokes aside, remarkable work as always)
I’d love to see more System Of A Down songs keep up the good work! 🤘🤘
hell yes.
Ya
Hi life fruit, why you gotta be so hard to find on small worlds?
@@CatMeme1 Use spelunker potion and build a farm, but why’re you playing on small worlds??
@@lifefruit9917 Lol I was just kidding around, I play on it for a challenge sometimes
*_Songlist:_*
0:00 Metallica - Whereever I May Roam (Hammered Dulcimer)
0:28 Linkin Park - Numb (Steel Tongue Drums)
0:49 Led Zeppelin - Kashmir (Handpan)
1:12 System Of A Down - Chop Suey! (Marimba)
Hearing System Of A Down on Marimba is not sth I knew I needed in my life hahah
Great vid once again
@Don't Read My Profile Photo that’s amazing
I want to here more LP song covers
And maybe some korn song covers on different istermins
Me too dude😂
Anybody else just using this comment to listen to the numb part on loop? I need a longer version of this to fall asleep to
For how simple and short these videos are, they're still some of my absolute favorites to watch. Always an instant click when I see them.
your talent is something special, dude. the moment you started playing numb i started crying, just a flood of childhood memories coming back to me. just the sound of the drums with that melody dragged something outta me. if you ever did a full cover, it's make my year. love all your work, joe!
You should 100% make the rock and metal type videos atleast 3 mins longer, I could watch you play these all day!
I would love to have full length versions of these songs on the instuments you used to present them. :D
Everything was cool, but that Chop Suey on Marimba was sick! Love that.
I get blown away every time he plays the marimba. Two hands, and four uh.. sticks/mallets?? I don’t know what they are called, but that’s crazy.
0:19 the sound so iconic
Idk why but I always love the Marimba parts. It just sounds so... "full". A very satisfying instrument.
Incredible as always!!! Numb sounded so haunting on the steel tongue drums. I would love a full cover of that one!
Chop Suey on Marimbas sounds like it could have been made for it. Nice!
the fact that I started singing Numb and Chop Suey along with the instruments, I was getting VERY into it
ALSO THE WHEREVER I MAY ROAM BIT???? THE DULCIMER HAS THE SAME VIBE AS THE SITAR????? THAT WAS HEAVENLY????
linkin park numb is one of those songs that i dont think will get old in even a 100 years
True.
Infact none of their songs would ever be felt old
More of rock/metal covers, please!!
The precision of a musicians fingers never ceases to amaze me. What an excellent showcase of our inherited dexterity over millions of years that was so crucial to our survival
The hammered dulcimer is is a perfect fit for the phrygian guitar in Wherever I May Roam
I would love to hear full versions of all of these.
We need full covers sir!!! That was amazing and so short! We need more 😃
Your dexterity with the marimba is incredible
"Kashmir" sounded so mystic on the hand pans, that was awesome
Me and my dad will remember this forever and ever. My dad used to listen to rock once, but now he listens to alternative metal. By the way, the steel tongue drums look a lot like the hand pans.
Just when U think " hey I'm actually getting this drum stuff" a guy like this puts U in your place... Great stuff dude 🙌🙌
The sound of hand pans while playing Kashmir song kind of reminded me to Jamens Bond's main theme
Chop suey on marimba should be a ringtone
i loved that wherever i may roam. i remember seeing an "oriental cover" here on youtube using oud, darubka, the finger cymbals and idk the name of the flute-like instrument, but i love it so much these kinds on instruments fit that song so well.
Was it a duduk?
bardcore enjoyer
@@obamagaming6642 oh yea fo sho
that grip switch on chop suey was so fire
I absolutely love to watch people play the Marimba. it is amazing how they can use the mallets
I'd love to see you do full covers of songs
Geezus, man! You make me want to actually listen to all of those songs now! Good picks and well done, sir! Super talented!
Numb was so beautifully done, Chester would be proud
Numb on the steel drums sounded awesome!
It’s to cool that you’ve collected so many instruments over time!
I love your videos so much ❤️
The talent is real, never stop playing ✨
I'm always amazed at the marimba playing with 2 sticks in each hand
Chop suey was sick. Brings back so many memories.
You're so talented and you just seem like you're having so much fun playing these awesome instruments. Keep up the good work
I love to hear some full covers on these metal songs like Chop Suey, Enter Sandman, or even other bands I don't think you've done yet like Avenged Sevenfold or Falling in Reverse
Watching people play the marimba fascinates me. How you can strike multiple notes at the same time and in perfect timing- I can’t even pick my nose properly….with only one finger!
I loved all these renditions, the marimba chop suey was interesting how it translated the dynamics of multiple instruments through four mallets
Led Zeppelin очень круто звучит!
Awesome. Though I'd say the Rav's are more hybrid "tongue pans". a Tongue drum (tank drum) is more like something by Manastone for example. The Handpan next to them is right (though also called a hangpan).
Awesome stuff as always; I'm guessing you must be a music teacher of some sort to have access to all this stuff :)
Tongue pan. Sounds interesting :)
The marimba never ceases to amaze me.
that chop suey cover was out of this world
bro wtf, I just found wherever i may roam last week and was gonna see if it made it in by some chance lol
@Don't Read My Profile Photo ok I won't
Metallica is the best
THAT CHOP SUEY COVER WAS AMAZING!!!
That just shows us again, that a great song can be played on any instrument and still is a great song.
It is sad when you realize that most of these legendary rock bands will be completely unrecognizable to the new generations and will most likely be forgotten completely as years go by
bro this guys marimba skills are nuts
As soon as I heard Numb playing, my heart shattered. RIP Chester Bennington
That Numb cover on the steel drum was amazing BUT THEN THAT CHOP SUEY ON THE MARIMBA
I could listen to tongue drum covers all day
Marimba was an absolute hit here
The world needs full covers of those songs on those instruments!
When u played numb it gave me a sense of safety for some reason
how one plays with four sticks will never cease to blow my mind...
The chop suey one was incredible
The chop suey needs a full song
Chop suey on marimba sounds like it should be the countdown clock on a quiz show
That hammered dulcimer sounds awesome.
The finger cymbals were a great touch
Not only is this pure genius but the choice of songs man …… holy shit !
I am impressed of marimba playing bc of the stick spread changing and independence required.
Chop suey on the marimba sounds oddly like an intense fantasy game boss battle theme
Numb literally gave me goosebumps
This was just amazing to listen to. Hearing these songs in this manner is so refreshing and now I want covers of them like this lol
Chop suey on Marimba sounds like the music played during an intense scene of theorizing on an ID show
This one was the best video yet. Great combo of sounds and music. Love LP and chop suey in those combos. Great work.
that chop suey cover was crazy
Hearing chop suey like this make me want to talk a percussion friend into arranging a marimba ensemble for it
I love the hand p a ns even they have a kick drum
a lot of these sound suprisingly calm
Wherever I may roam deserves more love
The cover of Numb on tongue drums is soooo sick! Great work!
This is how people should flex about their versatility in different instruments
I think it’s really funny that I had the tv on playing music in the background while watching this and. when you played “System of a Down” chop suey my tv started to play that song.
Marimba looks like one of the hardest instrument to play.
Chop suey! On marimba sounds like the intro to a wild life documentary
Chop Suey was freaking BADASS O.O!!
I got chills from chop suey!
Chop Suey on the marimba just sounds like a more intense version of Mumbo Jumbo timelapses
I could listen to you play the steel drums for hours
love that u played kashmir and zep, would love to see u do more zep songs, theyre my fav band
Oh my God, Chop Suey sound so good, please full cover!
Chop Suey! on a marimba made my day like 10 times better
kashmir sounded like bg music from an adventure game, loved it
Gosh, just awesome. Thank you.
