My Archie was just diagnosed with valley fever. We just moved here a few months back. I hope he gets better. He is in a lot of pain.

How often do you see neuro effects from valley fever? Like circling, pacing, getting stuck in corners, and all over looking lost. My dog is doing this, it happened immediately after her spay/mammory tumor removal surgery, but vet says there was nothing in the surgery to have caused this. I've spent alot of money on testing, and that test is expensive, and I've not heard of these symptoms before. But the vet is recommending the text. We started steroids, but I'm wondering if I made a mistake not doing the test. Any thoughts. Btw, they dont believe she had a stroke. It's just so weird and heart breaking. I did surgery to better her life, even though she was 10, and I feel like I ruined her life and lost my best friend. I'd appreciate any info or thoughts. Thanks

Thanks for the information! Is it common for a dog to get worse before they get better once they start Fluconazole for Valley Fever?
