With my new game plus something that I noticed was that at the amiibo gazebo there was a new option to go to the Holy Tomb. I went there and it was just a small area around the throne with a few items scattered around it and Sothis was hovering in front of the throne. Later on it changed from Sothis to the opposite gender Byleth. Not sure if this is something that is exclusive to amiibo owners or not, but the items that showed up there were helpful: rings, seals, the stat upgrading items, as well as regular ingredients.
If you used a fire emblem amiibo you get a bonus from the gazebo where you can go hang out with sothis pre time skip and get a skill for byleth that takes up an action during battle giving +7 res to all units and they lose -1 every turn after until the buff disappears. Thought it was from beating the game but since you didn't have it I'm sure it's from the amiibo.
Some tips for NG+ Lunatic: 1. Battalions carry over, so toward the endgame, buy up a bunch of expensive battalions to sell in your next playthrough for some gold. 2. Also don't forget to keep some E and D rank battalions, so your NG+ team can all have battalions equipped right off the bat. Keep a low rank Heal battalion, since your healers get like 5 heals per map early game. 3. I'm pretty sure the Renown you invested into statues do count towards the total Renown you have available to use in NG+. There is no reason not to upgrade the statues whenever possible. 4. You should first prioritize raising your Professor Level as high as you can. Nothing else comes even close. 5. Your next consideration should be 2-3 students you want to recruit to round out your team. Spend Renown to get them up to B support, and they should ask to join within the first couple of months. In case you're wondering who to get, just grab Mercedes Lysithea Felix and you literally cannot mess up your team building. You want to have a full roster going as early as possible to take full advantage of the 3 adjutant slots, extra instructions, and extra activity points you instantly unlocked with professor levels. I find you can get 2-3 near instantly with Renown, then still grab few more quite early with your increased ability to spam tea times and gifts. 6. If you have Renown left over after that, consider upgrading skills. Charisma is the best IMO, since your battalions carry over, including the Lord's unique battalion that only requires C rank. As you know, this battalion is hilariously broken to have early game. If you have a Levin Sword/Bolt Axe user, you can raise Swords/Axes to C and end up with very strong early game weapon that is available to purchase right from the start. Especially because spell uses are very limited early game. Apart from that, you may consider B rank for Brave weapons, which is obviously very strong. Other options, like Killing or Silver weapons are not as game changing early on.
This is very good info :) recruitment was the hardest for me to do. Also to be able to level up weapons ability is great. I am starting with Blue Lions for first walkthrough. I was worried that the new game plus will lose everything. Good to know to save Renown so you can get all these things ❤️

You forgot sothis shield by scanning a fe amiibo in the amiibo gazebo you get access to her chair room where you get better items along with the sothis shield

You can also go to the holy tomb from the amiibo gazebo and get more item drops and the sothis shield which gives your whole team res+7 for 3 turns with a minor decrease over those turns
That's cool. It's interesting you get to keep some progress from your previous playthroughs. Might make Lunatic(and maybe Infernal) difficulties more manageable after they drop.
Infernal? If that's a thing I hope they do something new like rearranging enemy placements. Instead of just giving everything obscenely powerful skills like Lunatic+.
@@ianhoddinott9492 Someone dug into the files and found both Lunatic and infernal there. Lunatic was playable but the maps on Infernal either had no units or the units were all level 99.

Assuming this is how it works, it grants you the freedom to have any unit go to different classes on subsequent playthroughs for interesting results without having to grind for a skill your unit already has. What I'm currently doing in my Golden Deer playthrough is maxing out the Pegasus Knight and Cavalier class EXP to unlock Darting Blow and Desperation on Ingrid and raising her Axe proficiency so that by the time I start my third playthrough with Blue Lions, I can immediately give her Darting Blow and Desperation so that I don't have to reclass her into a Pegasus Knight and Cavalier again. Not sure about some of those items, but I doubt it. You carry over renown, statue bonuses, and (for some reason) battalions. One helpful trick you can use is to spend all of your money on battalions on the last month. Then you can sell some of them back in your new game and start with some extra cash and a bunch of battalions.

Lamonte Hughes at any time you can use the battle feature you can treat that as a time to grind out new skills, class masteries, level grind etc. you just need to be on easy or normal mode (neither classic or casual effect this) and you just do the auxiliary battles that don’t require a point to use and keep doing them over and over again.
