Thanks again chaps. That has helped me feel better about my ski. At the club a while ago we had a “bring your first slalom ski and do a set on it day”. A great laugh if slightly frightening on my 65” HO Mach 1. The Deena Mapple one. Modern skis are a big leap forward.
At $1,500+ for a good ski these days (without boots) it’s hard to just try out a few different kinds. There are 5 skiers in my family and everyone is on a different ski. At least wakeboards, surf, hydrofoils and tubes :) we share. Add life jackets and barefoot suits, dang….. Good info though. Love what you’re doing to keep the dream alive!
I ski on a 67 Ho Omni. 175pds 5'8". 30-33mph 15 off. I feel like a 66 would be ideal but they only make a 65 or 67. Would it be a lot different to go down to a 65?
Just bought a new ski. Looked at Radar Pro Build and HO Works 2. I chose the 67" Radar for a few reasons. The HO graphics were just too boring for me. Watched a lot of your videos and it surprises/concerns me that Rob ski's on a 66" and he is bigger than me. (I'm 5'9" 165lbs) - Dealer won't do a demo, even though I've spent tens of thousands of dollars with them over several years, including a new Mastercraft boat. Their excuse was people didn't bring the ski's back? How LAME! SOOO LAME!! So, having to make a decision based on very little knowledge of the new skis? I chose the Radar 67" - Hope I didn't make the wrong size selection? I free ski 35' - 38' off, 34mph, on a large lake.
Hey, the Works 02 is a fairly wide tournament ski comparatively so I decided to try the medium which I loved pretty much straight away. Ski size preference varies massively and ultimately is personal preference however there are generalizations we can make like we made in the video. In Regards to the dealer I can’t help you there but if it helps I now moved up to a 67 02, I’ve always preferred smaller skis but decided to try make the change this winter in the hopes of being more efficient and easier on my body, I can safely say it was worth the effort!

@@RobHazelwood Curious? Why did you always prefer smaller skis?
