- It is that time of year, time for Mudbuggin. I try a few traps in a river I have never trapped up here close to The Farmhouse. I get skunked where I am trapping but a few weeks ago I did catch some. Off to the next spot, I am getting hungry for a Crawfish boil.
I'm so glad to see Mudbuggin videos are back! I enjoy all your videos, but the Mudbuggin ones are my favorite and what got me watching your channels.
looking forward to the next mud bugging video
Oh mudbuggin, it's been a while! Thanks for sharing & take care.
I really appreciate your channel. Have been watching for a few years now. A year ago I bought a rototiller and started a large garden. The Mrs started canning. Etc. But this Soring I came down with some health issues and am not able right now to maintain the garden. But watching your show helps bring me back to the great outdoors from my arm chair. Thanks fir this.
Wooooo hooooo mudbuggin video!!!! No mudbugs😢😢. Still a great video 😊. Maybe next time. Tyfs God bless you
Shagawa Lake up here in Ely has a ton of mudbugs. I see hundreds upon hundreds along the shoreline. Might be worth checking out!
Thanks Joe you’ll find them! 👍👍👍🤩🤩🤩💯💯💯
I like the videos in thes channel whit you
Enjoyed your adventure; jack diddly and you got rained on. Love the biology.
You need to try that place up by the tent again. You killed it there
Thanks Joe! Have a blessed day!
Great video 👍👍
Great video
Joe please get av spray in bed liner…..just to prevent rust if anything. Plus it would make for goor video content
goodddd luck searching
I've been waiting for this video
Wishing you better luck next time Joe! Sounds like mudbugs live in faster running waters.
👍
Always amazed me how some places had crawfish. Some places have Pike. Some places have no pike. Some places you could catch crawfish on any shore while your swimming. Lol. Hell who knows. Lots of deer there and no deer here. Keeps it interesting I guess. Lol. Take care Joe
nice try Joe,better luck in the future!
haven't tried catching them since I was little
Ive always want to try a crawlfish boil, even though i have a shellfish allergy. 😂
Joe, I live 15 miles straight north of you. The Cloquet river or Whiteface river might be worth a try. Both have faster moving water and are more “rocky”.
Great video...thanks
Hi Joe ! hope you are well, when is Joe and Zach,s survival coming back on? miss you and your Kids at the tent, hope that starts soon Family traditions y-all !
Its a shame you can't trap cat fish with the cat food. But bugs will do nicely. Enjoyed the weather and the video---thanks!
Could it have something to do with the big snow runoff you had in the spring? Maybe further south . I don’t know what I am talking about.
Joe you have to get to our place on Vermilion by boat but I can give you the fire address if you would like and you can trap all the crawdads you want off our dock.
Please email me Barry. I would love to do that. homeandcabininc@outlook.com
next time my friend
👍😎🇨🇦
Canned cat or dog food in a ladies stocking will keep the bait from disappearing and flowing away ,just something we do here
The St. Louis Estuary has Rusty crayfish since 1999, but the population has plummeted over the years. Not sure why but the reasons could be bacterial or the flood in 2012.
Better luck next time..
Still good down here on the ol rum river
I miss trapping down there under the Hwy 22 bridge.
Never been! Just cat fishing only! Stock pond type fishing!
We went trapping about a week ago, all I got was wet traps 😂
Joe it's not Crayfish, it's Crawdads
Nope, it's cray fish. haha
@@ClickinChicken Check with Joe's wife and she will tell you Crawdad's. Justin Wilson will Told you the same. 🙂

To cold up north for crawdads
I have caught a lot of them even up in The Tent area, the season is just a little shorter because of the cold. They are here though.
Do you have your outdoor bolier light still
No, I shut it down in May. I will start it back up at the end of october.
Joe, give Vermilion a try. No shortage of them in there.
Thats where I caught the ones you saw in this video.
I see you wading through all that tall grass and I just cringe. Here in southern Indiana you'd be covered in chiggers and ticks. I know it's not a problem up there. On the other hand, we don't have black flies down here.
A toss up?
No chiggers, we do have ticks sometimes but they are just wood ticks, no big deal. We have no poison snakes, no poison spiders, no need to look down when you are walking through anything. Black flies and deer flies suck but they wont kill you when they bite. Lol.
@@JoeandZachSurvival, sadly we have wood ticks & deer ticks, timber rattlesnakes, masagua (swamp rattlesnakes), and copperheads. Sooooo many copperheads. I've even had copperheads in my front yard.
On the other hand, we don't have 3 ft. snow falls or 24 inches of ice on our lakes. ;-)
Sorry Joe, I love your videos but the mudbuggin videos are a hard pass. They are just one step above the rock polishing videos. See you on the next video.
Funny you say that because Mudbuggin is what put Joe and Zach Survival on the map. Lol. More videos coming. I am glad you are a subscriber.
Joe, did you take down a comment I put up?
I did not. I do not see a comment from you in the "held for review" folder either.
@@JoeandZachSurvival I replied to your reply and it also didn't show up. Do you have any idea what's going on? Does YT take down any links I sent you? Because both of the missing posts had a link in it.
Joe, I live 15 miles straight north of you. The Cloquet river or Whiteface river might be worth a try. Both have faster moving water and are more “rocky”.
