Taiwan is a geographical game of the island and Republic of China (ROC) is the real name. In past time, ROC and PRC (People Republic of China) both claimed that they are the real China, while the former lost the war and retreated to Taiwan.
In recent years, Taiwanese starts to think that we are Taiwanese instead of Chinese. We don't need to retake the China anymore. However, PRC still claim that Taiwan is a part of them and keep suppressing Taiwan on international occasions. We Taiwanese are unable to use Taiwan or ROC as team name in the world. That's why Has is playing game with Chinese Taipei instead of Taiwan.

Taiwanese are the ones who kept the real Chinese culture which teaches more about respect and manners and uses traditional Chinese writings that dates back to thousands of years ago of what China always used for their writing, not the simplified Chinese writing that was created under communist China Mao in 1949. Because of the cultural revolution that lasted from 1966 until 1976 under Mao's communist party in China, ua-cam.com/video/kXByOrRrO7c/v-deo.html the Chinese destroyed their own culture and China didn't have any culture for a very long time. Mao brainwashed an entire generation and gave them those little red books telling them Mao's teaching is the best and everything else that has to do with ancient China has to be destroyed. So they did a lot of destruction rather than building so that brought with poverty and made China poor for decades during the 1900s, that's why many generations became barbaric and without good manners. That cultural revolution carried on even today with a big impact on China. Taiwan is founded in 1912 earlier than China, China is founded in 1949. If you search on Google it also says it's a country. Taiwan helped many countries in Europe, donating 51 million masks during covid and also helped with some small reconstruction in eastern European countries historical sites and there were commemorates for it but destroyed by the Chinese, many of the good deeds Taiwanese did abroad is constantly being pressed down by Chinese people who think they are the best which is horrible. Keep in mind China relies heavily on Semi-conductors produced in Taiwan also the U.S. China got to the point where they are today was also because of many contributions by the Taiwanese people who went to China to help rebuild their economy. It seems to me it's a country without gratitude. After they help you you're not thankful but instead, want to mess them up. Like when Taiwan donated the most 20billion yen to Japan's 2011 earthquake, the country is very grateful to Taiwan and our relationship became even better. Unlike China where they just constantly want to threaten others without manners.
Also communist party Chinese never fought the Japanese during WWII it was KuomingTang the party that founded current-day Taiwan. They helped defend China against Japan and you pushed KuoMingTang out of your own country. ua-cam.com/video/0VtJrPfmrpg/v-deo.html 他们帮你们捍卫家园还把自己人赶走
Why do many of the KuoMingtang soldiers who fought in China who later went to Taiwan despise the Japanese? Because they were the ones who really fought against the Japanese and protected China during the II Japanese invasion. You will never find much history about communist China fighting Japan in WWII history outside of China. Japan, America, and many other countries today all think Taiwan is a country because they know the history, but communist China still allows communism to spread and covering up people's eyes for what is true.

@@avsbes98 True, but, sentiments have changed - possible since China has pressured group after group to call ROC/Taiwan as just Chinese Taipei. From the Wikipedia article:
"Use of the label came under vigorous renewed criticism during the run-up to the 2017 Summer Universiade, hosted in Taiwan. Changing demographics and opinions in the country mean that more than 80% of citizens now see themselves as Taiwanese, not Chinese[24] whereas in 1991 this figure was only 13.6%."
      Yet still:
"However, the Taiwanese people voted during a referendum in November 2018 to reject a proposal to change their official Olympic-designated name from Chinese Taipei to Taiwan.[34] The main argument for opposing the name change was worrying that Taiwan may lose its Olympic membership under Chinese pressure, which would result in athletes unable to compete in the Olympics."

Did you stand with Hong Kong when it was under the British rule? I wonder because under the British rule, HK citizens had no rights and they can't vote. And back then when HK people protest the British, they were shot dead. Look up the history. When HK return back to China in 1997, HK was finally free to govern itself as a democracy. Even with the recent riots and violence toward the HK police, they hold restraint. Imagine how police in America would respond when protesters holding hammers and steel pipes beating on police officers. No doubt, they would be shot dead if it happen in America. To understand the situation in HK, you have to go back in history. The British invaded China, poison the Chinese with Opium and slaughter their people. After losing the war, China lost Hong Kong to Britain. The people there suffer for many years under the British rule as second class citizens and they were brainwash to embrace western ideologies while taught to hate their own ancestry. That is why HK people hate China, despite they are blood related. In the Chinese perspective, it is like a kidnapper stole your child and raise it to hate you, but you still care about the child and hope one day the child will realize its roots and find themselves again. That is why China has not send troops to squash the protesters, they will let them vent and determine their fate.
