    Hey!
    I was wondering if one can use cement plaster instead of lime one? Why do you use lime particularly?

    Nice finish if your going for that effect but I would not call that polished but that's no insult I always appreciate any other fellow spread!
    We use micro-cement or Venetian for decorative plastered walls usually in the UK

    Just as a point of reference, how long did it take for you to plaster this one wall?
    Did you need to wait a full day for the plaster to cure, before applying the wax? (Sorry if it's an amateur question. Gonna try and attempt this in my home)

    Can this be done to a wall in a shower? If not do you have the materials to do that?

    • @stiprios52
      @stiprios52  7 років тому

      Its risk-lime plaster is hidroscopic but if you use special coatings, maybe it work. Where is diferent lime plaster whith white cement and two component acrilic coatings- novacolor wall2floor what you can use for this. You can check our instagram : stiprios, we did two projects with this material.

    PLEASE REPLY:
    Did you add pigments to the lime plaster or JUST to the wax?
    You said that you used 257 Pigment Wax.
    Did you diluted and apply a second coat to get the color contrast on the wall?
    If that is not how you did it, how did you get the color contrast?
    Did you use any other Pigments?

    • @stiprios52
      @stiprios52  7 років тому +2

      I mix plaster with 254 pigment and wax with 257 in this work- color contrast is coming with diferences of surfases - polished part not take so much pigment from wax

    • @DanMurphySays
      @DanMurphySays 7 років тому

      I want to make sure I understand.
      Is the difference of wall surface coming from sanding/scraping the first layer of plaster?
      -At 1:50 in your video you being scraping/sanding the wall down.
      The more you do that to a spot on the wall, the less pigment it will take and the lighter it will be when you do a second coat of plaster?
      At 1:23 you apply plaster that looks white. Is that a second coat of plaster?
      Why is it white?
      I am sorry to ask so many questions. Your work looks amazing and I would love to create a similar wall if I can.

    • @stiprios52
      @stiprios52  7 років тому +3

      i sand/scrap second , not first ,leyer just to remove some rising parts. if you sand dry wall it takes much more pigmented wax, becouse you broke a surfase what was polished with metal trowel on the wet second layer off plaster.
      yes its second layer of plaster- its not white- it not good mixed with pigmet- every inperfect in process make perfect in final result ,my foreigin friend...

    nice, what is the overall thickness of the plaster once finished?

  • @futbolera
    @futbolera 7 років тому

    Hello! Will this type of application be durable in the long term? From what I experience in construction, plaster is better applied to textured surfaces because it adheres well. I am curious if with this method (plaster on primer, I assume is relatively smoother texture) the plaster holds up well too?

    • @stiprios52
      @stiprios52  7 років тому

      hello,hello!!!)) i used all manufacture system- a cebos fix r primer has little fracion calcids and surface after this not smooth but more like abrasive paper and plaster holds up wery well.

    • @DanielRichards644
      @DanielRichards644 7 років тому +1

      real concrete walls are built using things called FORMS, these forms are typically between 3 and 8 feet wide, where the forms meet you get a joint that creates a small ridge on the concrete wall
