@@spaceyau2713 Nah never had problems going up hills of any type. Obviously not as powerful as something like a Ranger but not underpowered at all. Towed a 20 foot ski boat around with no problems too.
At least SsangYong can manage to put their emblems on straight… unlike Mercedes Benz and Volkswagen! Just goes to demonstrate real quality vs “perceived” quality.
Why doesn't anyone test the Short Wheel Base ELX Model, comes with multi-link coil rear suspension as standard. it's off road capabilities are spectacular and chosen by the Korean Army used as a command vehicle, they ordered 700 of them..

I'm currently looking to buy a new ute and I really like the look of this ute, however a quick read of the owners Facebook site reveals a different perspective with too many owners complaining about repetitive serious issues, such as vibrations at 80km/h plus which dealerships seem unable to resolve. There are also many concerns about poor parts supply and the long wait time for some parts which are not held in stock in Australia which can take months to obtain. Other owners are stating that the 7 year warranty has very limited value and is conditional against very expensive dealership servicing. That Ssangyong Australia is not honoring many warranty claims against known repetitive issues and even passing the buck to customers. Also that Ssangyong Australia refuses to communicate to customers with issues. As I say, I like the look of the Musso, but until these basic issues are resolved I'm not prepared to gamble...shame!!
Legally theyre fucked if theyre refusing warranty if its nit serviced at a dealer. As long as a licenced mechanic does it according to the book theure up shit creek.
@@sugarnads It would appear not. It seems Ssangyong Australia firstly wont engage with the complaining customer, dealers refute any liability (passing the customer to Ssangyong Australia) who basically adopt a position of 'do your worst'. The customer is left with the prospect of exhausting all avenues and costly legal action against a multi national vehicle manufacturer for years whilst left with a faulty Musso. The warranty is only as good as the company being prepared to honour it, and its interpretation of a fault, no matter how many times different customers complain about the same fault. Some of the comments on the Owners Facebook even suggest the dealers are unhappy with Ssangyong. With regards to the vibration issues at speed, it appears Ssangyong have no solution, so even if they wanted to fix the problem with an expensive product recall, it would be pointless.
I’m on the page. Not that many serious issues to report. Test drive it before delivery. It’s very reliable, much more so than the ranger. Also just about every manufacturer can be difficult to deal with. I know of Nissan, Isuzu, ford and Toyota not coming to the party.
My wife has a Rexton. We had an issue with the doors. Tried 3 times over 2 months to get the dealership to fix but they couldn't. Contacted SSY Australia via email. got a reply the next day telling us the dealership would be in contact with us. Got a call from the dealership and it booked in that week and the problem was fixed. The dealership then had to contact SSY to let them know it was fixed. Then we got an email from SSY asking us if it was corrected. I don't take anything on facebook at face value.
I’m puzzled. A car, massive production car without ANCAP tested. No matter where else it has been tested, but not tested in Australia soil condition and Australian driving style. As a GWM owner I really liked the Musso, but went the cannon for the better off-road clearance.
But if I didn’t want to go offroad the Musso is probably a better car.
I must say.. Musso here is missing out on way too much that the GWM has for me to even consider it. Besides, the GWM even looks way better than this Musso. So yeah, i'm chilling with GWM big time
@@trystan07and the Cannon is cheaper to boot.

I would have shown more interest in this video without the childish theatrics.
