Andrew, your drive and gumption to get out there and trap regardless of broken snow mobiles is absolutely inspiring!!!! So much that I dug a couple of my 330 out and headed down to the North Saskatchewan river next to our house (still open channel on my shore) with my two sons (6 & 4). The beavers where still coming up the bank and working some willows and poplars. I set a couple castor sets like I had learned from you many years ago when you were trapping down at beaver came. Well I’ll tell you they just couldn’t resist the smell of another beaver in their area and we were able to get a couple. It was super fun and now my lil guys are hooked on trapping. We never miss an episode! Keep up the great work buddy and thank you for all the knowledge. I’ve learned more about trapping from you than anyone else. Can’t wait for the video to drop 😃
It’s nice to see some winter show up, we have been a little colder here in eastern Ontario. I like the a frame set with the 330 I have a pond to work for beaver and will try that . Thanks for the info and for sharing, Bob
Always look forward to your videos, Andrew! Very beautiful out there! You’re fortunate to experience solitude surrounded by such beauty! Good luck this season!
Had a wolverine come down my line last night and tear up a marten box, down here they are trying to ban trapping over wolverine and you are up in the wild north setting for them! Hope ya catch a fur shed full
@TheWildNorth the wolverine tore up the back of that marten box and got my bait but the real trouble down here is the groups that's trying to outlaw trapping. I ended up with a marten in another set and caught one today
👍🏼a pissed off wolverine in a trap and no blocker. Well that calls for a couple Holy Sheepshttz,,and pee break and Hot Cup of Tea. You'd shtt if 2' snow fell tonite🙏🏼 lol. Right On👍🏼Andrew. nice skull tree☠️
Love seeing you back on your channel Andrew . Glad to see your doing well and back on the line . Take care my friend , I might see you up there next fall .
You certainly have the right attitude. Staying positive is not only good for working the line but everything else too in life. I’m just happy to see the line again. Good stuff Andrew thanks👍👍
I really enjoy these vedios. Even tho you did not have any thing in the traps I still can not wate till the next one. You portray that the experience is just as important as the animal in the trap. I appreciate that. Good luck tomarrow
I was gonna suggest a Bravo. I remember when you picked up that one that was pretty mint some years ago. I fell right in love with that thing. Good luck finding one
Well done Andrew bud. Youll perceiver. You always do. Doing it as your ancestors did for now. Nothing wrong with that. Like you said taking it all in. Very important words brother.
Good to see you're back at it...the last years since the Great Toilet Paper Shortage " were a bit crazy & I'm glad your path brought you back on the line.
Andrew, I love to follow all your stories and to hear all the legends about the spots on your property and lines. It would be so cool for us viewers if you could hand draw a map of your property for us with all the markers and trap lines are so I can visualize it in my head. Love to know where beaver camp lies in regards to the skinning shack, and how far death camp is down the river! Or where you captured one of your best pieces of fur. For sure keep actual locations to pinpoint where you are off the map, but use all your names so us fans can get a visual on what the lay out of TWN is! BEAUTIFUL DAY IN THE NORTH TODAY I TELLS YA!
J Jones from Ararat outdoors. Good video, thanks for putting out what kind of boots you are wearing. I’m going to order a pair. Hopefully you can get a new sled soon. Have a good day.
Heck yea if I come face to face with a wolverine I'd rather have the 17 hmr than the 22 for sure. And those are the same boot brand i use for ice fishing and hunting in minnesota those are the best boots can get wet and still keep your feet warm 25 below only thing is have to remember to pull out the liners every night.
Hi Andrew from 59° Texas (sorry). I really enjoy your videos and how interesting your life is!!! Happy New Year to ya and continued success on the trap line!!!
I bought a suspender set up the has plastic clips to hook to a work utilit belt. Took 2 screw eye bolts and attached with nuts to each hip. I use snaps or u-clips to attach to my rope at the width of my hips and run the rope throught 1 inch pvc pipes, one for each sid of rope coming fom sled. I drilled holes in front of sled and put in screw-eye bolts, washers and nuts to attach rope from sled to sides of my hips. I added more scew eye bolts and washers around edge and back of sled to secur my gear onto the sled with bungee straps. Crossing the 2 pvc pipes and rope set up gives you more control ove the sled on hills. Dtarted using for backpacking trips to summits while hiking in winter. Now using to haul fur and gear while trapping. Even works in the spring time when snow is leaving the ground.
I'll take a few of those skulls off your hands if you like at 2:50 in the video LOL Catch'em Up!! Good luck on the traps. I'm not a trapper but I follow about 10 different trappers here on youtube and I've heard them many times that using to much lure can be a bad thing and run off what you're trying to catch!! Wishing you luck on finding a ride!!! I enjoyed your video and I gave it a Thumbs Up
want to see a flip up snare that you used to make. i trapped with a guy in the ut and showed him how to make them from your videos and we caught a lynx!
Just a matter of time for that wolverine or lynx to come through. Trapping on foot is a different perspective. It slows you down and you see more. Good luck man!
No snow and flippin cold temps, Maybe think twice on a Bravo this season. Ya know some of the skidoos get flooded out when they get Trailerd around , maybe get it thawed out and see if you can get r going.
Andrew the Yamaha Bravo was replaced with the Artic cat Blast LT or Yamaha Transporter lite they are both the same machine just with differnt stickers. 2025 will be Yamaha last year in the snowmobile market so if you want a new bravo that is what to look at. 400 cc 1 Cylinder 2 stroke with 65 hp and probally the lightest on the market snow checks just around the corner
What happened to your big Ski Doo? Broken track from the rough trails? It takes a long time to get your machines fixed. Oh, well. keep the videos coming. They are great. Take care and stay safe.
Not sure what's wrong buddy these new machines have to be plugged into a computer to troubleshoot the problems. The garage here has poor customer service twice I brought my skandic there and it sat for a year. I just got it out of the shop last winter afternoon sat there for.2 years waiting for a dashboard cluster. I have to haul it to another shop in another community. Stay tuned
I'm enjoying this walk and talk (walkietalkie?) trapping. Ever think about having your dog pull your sled? I have seen many a lab pull a dog sled. I could send you an old harness if you want to try it but I'd need a few measurements of the dog first. Thanks for the video.
I was wondering if you would tan and sell me one of those beautiful cats I live in the United States not sure if that would be a problem and if corse I’d pay all shipping thanks love your videos
Minnesota Rancher. Been watching your vids for awhile now. Appears to me that you were born to be in the woods. Very entertaining. Very inspiring!
Couldn't agree more.
Great comment, and so true!
Agree MN rancher! Happy New Year to you & yours!!!

@TheWildNorth the wolverine tore up the back of that marten box and got my bait but the real trouble down here is the groups that's trying to outlaw trapping. I ended up with a marten in another set and caught one today
Like your boots. I used to wear rubber boots in the snow but plantar fasciitis foot pain ended that. Getting old sucks. LOL.

My neighbor has a 250 Bravo and a 300 Enticer for 400 bucks. The Bravo runs, he has cannibalized the twin though.
Just a matter of time for that wolverine or lynx to come through. Trapping on foot is a different perspective. It slows you down and you see more. Good luck man!
It's good for mental health to do some walking.
what happing no animals dude lots of love
It will improve with more snow and colder temperatures. Hopefully

Great country I think you would be well served by a sled pulling harness and some trekking poles for times like this sans snowmobile.
Cant wait for the 220 330 set to pay off ..whamo!
Thanks
Thanks Alex T straight to the gas bill

No thanks buddy too cold the traplines no place for groot. I don't want him around baited kill traps!
We're having just about as much luck as you are, cats are not coming around. What's going on. Tight chain
Wheres the part with your first catch this vid ? Why cut it
I never cut nothing
How can you run your whole trap line without a snow machine
Smaller line and a sled with a rope to pull
