that was awesome Andrew! Thanks for explaining the set up of the A frame trap and the whole logic and stages.... setting it up and disguising it.. etc. explaining the conibear trap and so on.
Looking cold but beautiful as usual brother, things are getting kinda crazy down south, I’m seeing Indians everywhere I go, and most definitely do not mean the First Nations
That's great course. Don't do what i do and handle these traps without a safety gripper. I won't set a Duke trap without a safety gripper. But these beliese traps have really good safety locks and that is important, very well designed trap.i recommend them.
I am a first time subscriber. You do a great job explaining things. Nice looking sets. I learned a lot about trapping years ago from some Cree friends of mine in Northern Manitoba. They used the same methods you showed there. Wolverine sets were the trickiest. They will try everything to get in through the side or back.
I try to explain explain as best and as much as I can. I want a first time trapper to be able to set traps or snares from watching my videos thanks for commenting. Stay tuned!
That fish has got to be pretty bad by now. Been a long time since I first saw it. That wolverine won’t be able to resist. I hope he’s waiting on ya the next time you check. 👍👍
Andrew, I'm not a trapper, but am really interested in the lifestyle, and of course the results (hopefully positive), it's neat to go along on your routine, I'm a llifelong Northerner from the Timmins ON area.
Yeah there real vicous.little buggers with sharp teeth and claws they could do some harm to a dog indeed. A very interesting and somewhat unique animal.
I’m hoping the wolverine comes through. I think I remember you catching two of them at the same time on a bait. That would be great to see that again. Good luck
i havent watched in a while but good to be back watching your vids. i hope you and everyone you know are happy and healthy brother. from a brother in ontario.
I enjoy the videos, have a question though, whats the reason for not having the lynx snares beefy enough to handle the wolverines? Cost? Lynx see the thicker wire?
Smaller loop with heavier wire dont close so easily they don't glide closes. I had tried heavier wire for that reason I had a half a dozen cats just back out of the snares.its pretty tough to choke out a wolverine. Any that get caught in snares will be damaged they pull til the snare cut through there skin and into the meat. Had many over the years that had a headless pelt. I was a lynx snarer long before I was a wolverine trapper. I hope that answers tour question stay tuned
Andrew, it looked like the safety was still on one of the springs when you said the traps were hot I know you were still adding branches so maybe it was on deliberately. One was on and one was off. Hope the wolverine goes in the other trap. Love your content. You're in a winter paradise.
I used that same lure this year and caught 2 fischer. Very rare in my west central sk southern trapping area. We don't have Martin. Have you checked out Dam beaver trapping supplies ?
Another great video Andrew, thanks! Just curious, I don't know if you've ever covered this, but are there animals that you aren't allowed to trap? What I mean is if you trap some sort of "protected" or out of season animal, is there some sort of reporting you have to do? Obviously you can't guarantee what your trap will catch, I'm sure this sort of thing could happen and I'm just curious how it's dealt with. Keep up the great work with the videos!
Hey Andrew years ago down in Saskatchewan they had a outdoors show in Saskatoon and this sweet older lady gave me a bumper sticker that read “Kids that hunt, trap and fish don’t mug little old ladies”. Now for some reason I swear I seen that somewhere on your channel. Maybe the cabin, skinning shack? I don’t know but if you know where to get one please let me know. Thanks!!
hey buddy I’m looking for that video of you from one of the trappers tales video where your skidoo breaks down and you start swearing, my buddy who took his own life showed me your channel about 5-6 years ago and wanted to play the video for him
Hard to hold fisher in a snare all they do is spin till the cable frays and they have so much muscle in the neck fucking near impossible to choke them out
Nice big fisher, congratulation. I'm looking forward like everyone else on here waiting to see that wolverine. Tight Chain
Love living vicariously through your video. Well done.
Ain't that the truth!

Nice. Me too. 👍✌️
Nice fisher. I've seen quite a few in the wild and on trail cams here. My dog chased one. I was lucky it didn't whip around and grab him.
Yeah there real vicous.little buggers with sharp teeth and claws they could do some harm to a dog indeed. A very interesting and somewhat unique animal.

Man sets look good I hope you get all that you go after💯💯💯💯💯💯👍🏾
Damn it Andrew! Every year you do this sh*t to me! Get me excited with a couple vids and then drop off the face of the earth!
Sorry buddy it's not intentional. Trapping just don't pay the bills anymore. Barely scrapeing by trying to get by myself times are tough right now.
@@TheWildNorth Times are tough for sure, and I believe it’ll get worse before it gets better. Take care of yourself and let us know what’s up.
Only time I’ve seen one live was from a ski-lift, thought it was a fox until it lifted it’s head and climbed a tree LOL
