Dang those shoes are DEAD
Well you shoes d9 get w h Oles in them and that you have to get new ones
Do get a hole in them 🕳
Hora da troca. Na verdade devemos ter várias
It's time to retire those omg 😭😭
My first are were more dead
hi remember to not use God's name in vain
@@mariamendoza8934Be sure not to tell a stranger that. They may not believe in the same thing you do. That's how you cause conflict.
@@mariamendoza8934god wasn’t even mentioned, “omg” can also stand for “oh my gosh” but also some people don’t believe in god.
@@mariamendoza8934amen to that but they might have be using “oh my gosh” instead of the other one
They died, came back as zombies and were killed again.
That's what my sister says I look like when I don't wear makeup lmao
yes indeed 😂
Double tap!
Its hard to tell from the lighting but if she doesn’t already have crossed elastics she should definitely try that. Also possibly a stronger shank. Another alternative could be to darn the front of the box so she doesn’t go over her box in the shoe. Also it looks like shes using stretch ribbon which is fine if she has tendonitis but it just doesn’t do a great job of hugging the shoe around her foot the way regular ribbon does. But she has really nice arches.
@@HecatesFavoriteDaughteryou should be able to go on demo pointe in pointe shoes? You should also be able to relève on your pointe shoes (en pointe) that’s the whole point of the shoe?
@@EllieGibson-kj2mv Yes, but if you look when she rolls through, there's a ton of space between her foot and the shoe when in demi. When she does finally get up to her box, she's WAY over the platform, not centered where her weight should be for stability. Part of that is dead shoes, but part of that is quite possibly what the original commenter said.
Those have been claimed by the Grimm Reaper.
Could you imagine a non dancer trying to read this lmao
I'm pretty sure she has cross elastics and she definently needs a stronger shank, it doesn't look like she's darned the box and thts probably why they're so dead (I'm fairly new to pointe so pls correct me if I'm wrong) but I also noticed how the tibbons are tied, they look strangely tight. might just be me
@@no1gracieabramsfan13 true maybe she needs a longer vamp to stop her going so far over? The ribbons are mostly up to the person so she’s probably doing them that tight because she doesn’t feel stable
I’m glad I didn’t see what I thought when I saw the title! Because it happened to me in the middle of class about 35 years ago - the shank broke - the actual leather shank cracked very loudly in half and left a lovely crack that ensured that my parents *had* to buy a new pair for me. And I did almost nothing to break in the shanks on my shoes - they didn’t last long enough as it was. I’m just glad I was facing the barre with both hands over it or the shoe breaking in half would have meant a serious injury.
I once saw a girl break a shank in the middle of her variation in a competition! Fortunately, she didn't fall, but she was very surprised.
Bro those shoes aren’t dead they’re decayed 😭😭😭
….. that means the exact same thing
😂😂😂😂😂
@@halatiny6537not really dead isn't decayed
I called them zombies 😂
@@halatiny6537nah, someones whos dead can be dead fir only one hour and not be decayed yet lmfao
This is one of those that refuse to let go of their favorite pair that are just right
That was me with my first suffolk pointe shoes. They were absolutely perfect, and I did not want to retire them when they died. I even danced in them for a show. HIGHLY DO NOT RECOMMEND but they were very comfy
😳😳😳 you’d think those shoes had been dug from the grave five years ago SHEESH! Also can we talk about her feet??? Seriously insane. I am officially jealous
look up ballerina foot trust me your not jealous of the damage being on point causes it's not pretty
I know. I am en pointe. I know full well how ugly ballet feet can get. I just wish my feet were even half as flexible as hers. I May be en pointe, and may have been for several years, but my feet are still kinda pathetic tbh. That’s what I meant by my comment.
@@carmentarajano2514I'm not a dancer so it bugs me to no end to see most of these girls use the wrong terminology. "ON Point" is not "En Pointe". As someone who wasn't allowed to dance decades ago due to EDS, I watch a lot if these videos. In the comments, besides the spelling and awful grammar, to be lucky enough to be able to dance, I'd think they would do classroom work and have to pass tests before you even step on your sport before they're allowed to start dance class.
When I was in Pony Club, we had to go up the ranks by having ratings tests (ie: D-1 is beginning through C-3 then B then H-A and A, and H-A is 100% knowledge based. You are around an Olympic level equestrian if you get your A. I think the age cut off is 25 now, it was 18 or 21 when I was riding and I was a C-3 when I had to quit, I was 15.
I'd think you'd want learn all about your sport. Just a pet peeve.
Thanks for using proper terminology here I know I go on and on, sorry! 😊
@@aribellatynsky3816"on point" clearly you're not a dancer and also that's clearly not what the girl meant you meant the structure of the foot and you would know that if you were educated on the topic. Don't try and correct someone before being educated yourself..
@@katt2266 oh I'm sorry that I can't spell in French as use the "Americanized" version of it but I am a dancer and have been dancing since childhood and even if they are jealous of the shape of the foot that is not just how that foot has always been that dancer had to train and even if it was natural to some extent it wasn't 100% natural if you want feet like that you train and end up with same damage I'm stuck with I'm just telling her there is no reason to be jealous
This is terrifying
Omg so many likes 💖
Lol
Wait, what part broke, where and at what timestamp?
I'm a girl who was dying to dance ballet and couldn't understand until well into adulthood why they all said I couldn't and the only sport I was able to do that I had a massive passion for was equestrian eventing. I got to the CCI level after nationals and had to stop completely due to regular hip dislocations and severe back, neck and shoulder injuries (both rotator cuffs are still completely ruptured, all of the tendons and muscles are shredded 35 years after a freak riding accident, but surgery will make them worse) constant chronic pain and really intense fatigue blah blah blah.
I have Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome and if I could post a picture of the hypermobility in my knees, you all would be stunned. although I'm pretty sure there's some on ny other social media (FB/IG) I'm in my 40's and have been noticing joints I had no problem with are super painful. I know it's boring so I'll save the rest of my life story because this is about broken pointe shoes. I watch you girls all the time and wish I could have been a dancer. I love how it's stayed so classic. It's beyond beautiful. You are all so amazing!
Yes, I did see the girl with EDS on the Pointe Shop's channel. I'm so jealous, but my doctors and parents were right to keep me out of it.
Thanks for sharing your journey! That goes for all of you. I'm here for it!!! 🩰🎼🩱(wth? Where's the ballerina and ballerino emoji's? All you get are pointe shoes and a leotard?)
Uh no
Oh they still got a week left in them😂😂😂
For new dancers on pointe yes this has a very pretty arch and it looks very flexible but those are SO dangerous to dance on.
Wait so they are supposed to be completely flat or something?
@@InsertMyChineseUsername they can definitely have some arch but if it gets to the point where your shoe is starting to feel like a normal ballet flat then they will be very dangerous and you could break something:)))))
@@Drew_2929 Okay that makes sense. I'm assuming the ballet flats are the ones that are the ones that look like shoe socks? Sry I'm not a dance person
@@InsertMyChineseUsername Your good!
Could you please explain like I’m 5 what exactly this video is showing? I know a little, but it’s easier to hear it from a pro. All my eye can see is her feet look they will start bleeding soon. And someone suggested the shoes aren’t her size. That’s it. Lol
Everyone’s talking about her shoes but can we talk about her FEET?! 😱❤️
Her feet was the FIRST thing I noticed! Holy crap they look like they HURT
ha that's what I'm saying -gorgeous!
I'm crying because those aren't her size💀💀
That's what I'm saying... How is no one pointing out that I looks like she grabbed her sister's bag in a rush and ended up with someone else's shoes
ohhh girl 😭
Oooo I remember watching this show, it was fab!!!
I don't dance, and somehow, this crossed my path. It's up to you now, the internet, to explain to me what the significance of this dancer moving one foot signifies in ballet.
It signifies that she is demonstrating that her shoe is broken. The bottom sole (called the shank on ballet pointe shoes) has a hard piece of leather and cardboard to help her stay up and it cracked along the arch of her foot.
@jaspersgrimoire Thank you for that information. It has led me down a ballet rabbit hole, so to speak. 🤣
PNB has a " shoe fund." Dancers used to autograpgh their dead shoes ( I know, kìnda gross, but kìnda cool). Fans could buy their broken down shoes so they could replace them with shiny new ones. I have to admit I still have a pair hanging over my mirror.😂
Is it just me that saw blisters on the back of her heel or foot? Are you
Ok??
Edit: it’s not just me lol
It's not blisters. She's wearing light pink ballet tights, and they all have holes on the bottom of the feet for easy access when switching from dancing shoes (you have to but bandages on your toes for protection when on pointe). When you are dancing for a long time they move, because it's made of a stretchy material, and can go to your heels. So, basically, it's not blisters, it's just a hole and, since her skin is of a more reddish tone, the light pink of the tights contrasts against it.
Edit: typo
THEY ARE DYINGGGGGGG
Oh my gosh girl how are your feet ok😭😭
You might need to tighten the ribbon and elastic ❤️😊
those shoes need to gooo
Literally she started to go on half and my mind instantly went "uuuu those are DEAD ASF"
Omg , my foot they cray for this video
OMG THOSE ARCHES
those shoes are literally deader than my great grandma 💀
Geezus, should have Capezio install an extra shank in your shoes like I did 30yrs ago. It's worth it, and saves you money
Ouch! Those tights cut like that looks like blisters would be a 100% chance of occurring. Nope nope nope!!! 💀 also that’s nothing some jet glue/shillack can’t fix 😂 and once’s that’s done, she can use it for flats class. Also those ribbons look WAYYYY TOOOO TIGHT! Ouch all around!
Thats pure pain right knowing you will have to spend money again on a new pair
Mrballen is a perfect example of what you can become if you’re willing to invest time and energy into yourself.
Dang those shoes must have gone on an adventure 😭
And the worse thing is not having a new pair ( they don’t sell pointes in my country )
Me literally sobbing hearing hozier talk about god 🧍♀️
danggggg her arches tho
"OH! The humanity."
Y'all someone explain what's going on I've never danced a day in my life idk what's supposed to be happening here
someone else said they're not supposed to arch but im no dancer either
@@InsertMyChineseUsername They're supposed to arch but stay with the foot and support it. She seems to only have a little support left in the front of her toe box while the back is so loose it is gaping away as she rolls through demi pointe and the shank looks broken. The shank should only gently arch, not bend in half like a broken twig. She probably needs stronger support and possibly a shorter shank with how strong and flexible her arches are.
I am pretty sure she also did not tie them on correctly or use elastics. Her heel should not be able to move that far out of her shoe for safety. It appears to be giving her blisters. This whole shoe would be painful to dance in.
It definitely sounds like one of the people hanging out at PaDooDoos may have had some sort of major connection. Maybe the kid of someone in power, maybe some “off duty partiers” who didn’t want to be exposed. Especially in such an uptight, small religious towns where everyone knows everyone.
Huh
Just watching this makes the bottom of my feet and my calf cramp up so bad I'm crying. HOW do these dancers get to the no cramp era? Is it just lucky ppl who don't get cramps at all and those who do get severe cramps just can't dance pointe and stop ballet?
At some point you most people reach a point in their career when they've developed enough strength that it doesn't hurt very much
I’m really loving the music, what is it called????
this is the definition of aWoo jUmpscARE
I’m a dancer but I don’t do ballet and already I can tell those are so dead 😭 how are you ok?!

I am new to this channel and I have a question, why does Em ask “is this true?” And then someone says yes before em can say what it is? i am slightly confused as to what they are saying yes is true.
“Eh, they’ll last another class.”
Они же МАЛЕНЬКИЕЕЕЕ

Surely they’re too small? They don’t look like they hug her feet very well at all
Those shoes are more then dead at this point

i was like "dang those are such pretty feet" then i saw comments like "ITS DEAD" lmao
theyre very pretty but i imagine it would be harder to go on pointe in those

Are point shoes SUPPOSED to snap? 🤔
I feel the blood in those

Aren't the shoes small for her ???

I'm no ballet dancer or dancer period, but I don't think it's supposed to bend down there, on that part. 🤔🧐
Those shoes been to hell and back put them to rest😭
I’m not a dancer but you can tell those shoes are done
can they wear gel pads in their Pointe shoes to make their feet mire comfortable
has anyone tried this ?
Yes, that's why they are there
I'm no dancer, but even I know that doesn't look right! Wouldn't that break your foot or ankle straight away?😮
Those shoes are deader then Mt grandpa
They look like... they're...too small?? 😭😭💀
No, they’re just dead, all around dead, girl be dancing in zombies.
That looks dangerous!
I’m not even a ballet dancer and even I know that’s horrible
THEY SO DEADDD
They actually look bloody
Does anyone else have no clue what they’re looking at, I didn’t see anything happen
Is she real?
haha yes. I think its a dancer named chloe helimets
But uet you post a v8deo about it Where's the snap I don't see it
It's saying that the shoes are dead so the shank snapped previously so she can fully articulate
с таким подъёмом будет тяжело танцевать на пуантах и держать равновесие....

Girl why 😭
NOOOOO😭😭😭
those could pass as ballet flats they’re so dead
I have no idea what I'm talking about, of course, but all I can think of is a severe ankle injury.
