What a beautiful sight to behold. Absolutely love these gorgeous old machines, wonderful to see so many all together. Thank you for this fabulous video.
Yes, but hardly a British car taking part because we lagged behind in motorcar manufacture and development. The French, Germans and Americans being well ahead.
@@CEng-ge6sw Not sure I agree entirely - early Vauxhalls were pretty awesome. And obviously Austin and Morris were making them in volume. I think the biggest factors in there not being many British cars present was the rust inducing climate and also the lack of space to store old cars - I remember one of my Uncle's leaving his beloved Austin 7 on his garage roof in the 1970s. But he was an exception.
Congratulations for keeping these vehicles roadworthy, brilliant. Each one has character whereas today majority are all the same and too complicated. Please keep this for many more generations. Bet the London air quality did not change either. All barking up the wrong tree!
when i lived with my parents (many years ago) this used to go past my house, it was in kennington road just past lambeth north station. always amused me that several used to break down there, this was when it started (i believe) just over the north side of westminster bridge
Excelente video. !!! Grande Inglaterra por tener tantos autos de este tipo en funcionamiento y poderlos mostrar a las generaciones más jóvenes !!! Que no los prohíban usar !!! Gracias por el vídeo desde Colonia. Uruguay.
@@brianevans4200 Definitely so! I saw her for the first time at last year's run (2023), which was the 70th anniversary of the memorable film. They ran the Spyker too and both were allowed to cross the finish line together, along Madeira Drive.
@@bobmarshall1066 That's great news. I have seen the film loads of times, yet I was convinced Genevieve was red. I had to check the film to find I was wrong. How memory plays tricks. When John Gregson was driving along the roads, the crew had to keep a lookout for both him and the police as he couldn't drive.
Where I am in Cornwall the taxi`s are not real taxi`s made to carry members of the public, but saloon cars that one needs a shoe horn in order to get in and out, the world is now full NUTTERS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Infernal machines, they’ll never catch on🤣 Such a spiffing turnout & how pretty the ladies look too. The chaps look dashing with their period regalia too.
We watched from Handcross this year, but in the past have done so on Pease pottage hill, and over the years ive helped push hundreds of cars up that bloody hill ! my only criticism, is why do the car passengers and driver not dress the part, shell suits and hoodies, trainers and the like look utter shyte, i know a lot of the cars, have fabulous looking outfits, and they really do look the part
Makes you understand how the Paris Madrid race of 1903 came to be called the race of death. Imagine mixing those putterers with a Mercedes that travel at just a hair short of 90mph.
From $6K to $73K that's the minimum range of profit return every week I thinks it's not a bad one for me, now I have enough to pay bills and take care of my family.
Khan won't stop this, them cars are not euro6 £12.50 a pop. I see a pedal ped leave with penny farthings. Fair play if he's gonna pedal it to Brighton.
I was there- I took a lot of pictures and then went to Brighton on the train and watched them come in. It was a grand day out!
What a beautiful sight to behold. Absolutely love these gorgeous old machines, wonderful to see so many all together. Thank you for this fabulous video.
Just amazing so many Vehicles well over 100 years old still running!
Some of them, such as the Countach, were probably replicas.
My sewing machine is 105 years old & still running!
Thank you for the video. There are two cars i have made working and i can see they have took the start without any problems . Amazing.
London to Brighton Run has got to be one of the greatest ever British traditions.

Simply beautiful! Lovely to see the kids there. Future custodians of the vehicles maybe?
My Aunt and Uncle did this every year while I was growing up in the UK. How wonderful. Love it and those amazing Penny Farthings!

Fantastic! Wonderful machines. And the vintage dress just ads a bit of class to the event. Thanks for posting. Love your channel! Cheers from the USA!

I loved !!
Thanks a lot for sharing !!
Greetings from México !!
Simply great
At 24:36 I think we met that gentleman who is driving the Humberette in the watch repairers a couple of days before the Run! Small world!
Lots of younger women drivers , especially those four in the black car...❤❤
There's a plethora of ancient and quite interesting vehicles.
Fantàstic!!!!!!!! 😍🤩😍🤩😍
Okay, who spotted the well known 'Genevieve'? About 32 mins. Glad she ran and hope she finished! Thank you for filming this :)
And shes been in many LtoB runs over the last Century too. I saw her when the Giltraps owned her ,a long time ago.
I did, thanks to your tip-off. "Genevieve" the 1953 film must be just about the most iconic British films of all time.

@@Mercmad Thanks for that! I think she belongs to a Museum in Holland now?

great to see those making the effort in period costume especially the ladies 🙂
Good to see Boanerges, the car mascot of the City & Guilds College, still running ...it's sixty years since I was last in it.
I love them all, but especially the Tiffany blue cutie. My 1926 Model TT is a youngster compared to most of the participating vehicles.
These cars look far more comfortable than today's....

some of those number plates are worth more than the cars....HE 1 wowee
A carriage without horses? Don't know if that's a good idea,
Edd China driving a Peugeot, probably the only one to get Brighton!
one wonders how many Teslas will still be running in 100 years time ???

Riding a penny farthing in traffic has got to be the bravest thing anyone's ever done.
I imagine most of them were happy it wasn’t pissing it down with rain.😂
How many cars took part...? seems hundreds!
They said 200+ at the Hyde Park start.
How many electric vehicles were taking part?
I can't see Elon Musk anywhere, Can you. ??
Imagine in a 150 years time, doing this with electric cars? Long may these cars and bikes keep running.
Where's the man with the red flag? Good to see some original plates
Hope they didn't get a ulez charge
I wonder if Nigel Parrot running.
This could only be done in England.
What are the rules - are all the vehicles original or re-productions?
No airbags or seat belts.
He is going to sit on a penny farthing all the way to Brighton?
