I just recently bought the Forbidden Planet C-57D Space Cruiser which states on the box, "Ready for Lighting", so I will be visiting your sight to purchase your lighting kit in the near future. Thanks for the video show and tell Ralph.
Awesome work Ralph I have both the small and big version of the Forbidden Planet C 57D Space Cruiser and would love to get your lighting kit for both of them when I start my builds, can these also be converted to 12 volt to plug in to a 110 wall outlet?
Yes, this board and all of our other control boards can be run on 12 volts DC, due to the fact we have internal voltage regulator on all our boards. This way we can be flexible on how we design systems, we are not tied down to just one voltage.
Hello Robert, The magnetic switch is basically a normally open momentary switch that closes when a magnet is placed near the magnetic switch. The good news is this kit is completely wired up when it arrives, basically a plug-N-Play kit.
Can you tell me where and how much the magnetic switch is would like one for my C5 7140 for sale spaceship and we'll be waiting on your response.. P.S.. would like the magnetic switch to work with the lights system that already comes with this kit

Dumb question...what's a magnetic switch and how do you hook it up? Okay 2 questions.

You can pick them up at digikey or mouser, just search for magnetic reed switch. Remember these devices are momentary not a toggle type.
Magnetic switch?? Such a simple and perfect solution! WOW!
Useful video, but too much of your arm and wristwatch and not as much of the model itself.
If the ship had anti gravity engines, I would not need to hold it show the engine effect or the board mounting.
