This course is all about chords, chord progressions, and how to apply them to writing and analyzing songs on the guitar. Ive been doing research and studying..( I dont do videos)
Just for Kicks...(I wanted to modulate the A minor tonic to different modes)
Using tools Ive gather in music theory.
From A min.....aeo
to Dorian.....Im simply going to play A dorian with a leading tone. ( melodic min)
I now basic can play A min D7 into G Major, E min.....A dorian
to Phrygian....A phyrgian with a LEADING Tone ( Harmonic min b2)
The Bb maj7 will be in Pre dominant possition...(lydian) to F MAJOR/ Dmin
it also the second arpeggio to G minor (dorian)
to Lydian Lydian b3 ( E Harmonic MAJOR)
You can play B7 ( mix b2) into E Maj7 or G#7 (phrygian b4) into C# minor
to Mix The N6 again...I can play the Bb as dim or augmented
into B minor.....D MAJOR....A mix
aeo...that's the REFERENCE
Loc The N6 again.....A melodic min b2....just to give more options
A lydian b3 is already a possible dim chord
if the play the A melodic min b2..the Bb can be alter to Maj7 or augmented
G minor...harmonic min , melodic minor...
Ion....I can play A melodic min to D maj to E7 into A MAJOR
or I can go to the F# ( aeo b5)...play a leading tone
D Lydain #2, b7 or mix #2, #4
I can play into other keys too...... (N6) Bb 7 into Eb MAJOR/ Cminor
or play A dim B dim into C min melodic minor
I can also alter the F# into F#7 into B minor or B MAJOR
or this i can play G# as dim....then to Bb dim into B minor
It'll be as if I played into B melodic minor....
instead of playing the G#dim into A....
or sort of like play into D melodic min...From A min/C MAJOR
B dim....to C# dim into D minor.
I can also play Bb7 C7 into F Minor
If I play the A harmonic b5 or Melodic min b5...that's the Eb note
to C....but it's the F7..that gives me the option of playing Bb MAJOR or minor
or A dim into Bb major or minor.........
The II, IV, vi VII ( as in b6 position) are all possible FULL DIMinished.
You can use any of those notes or chords to play into a chord
MAJOR or min....as a TONIC or not...
They also OVER LAP into C Harmonic MAJOR and A harmonic minor
AND..................................C harmonic min and A harmonic MAJOR
The augmented are also symmetrical....C, E, G#
The (N6) will add this option as well Bb, D, F# ( melodic min b2)
They're also symmetrical....You can also use any of those note or chord
to play into a new TONIC or chord..
All 12 notes work....it just learning how to apply the different scale different
ways to what you want ( anything.....UNLIMITED possiblities)
