I have one of these on my Zastava M70, it's absolutely fantastic. It is far better quality than my SLx 3x, the SLx constantly has the illumination flicker under recoil, the GLx, despite having far more rounds through it on heavier recoiling guns, is flawless in all ways save for the battery cover, which is basically impossible to remove without damaging it (the slot is too shallow).
I have a GLX 2x on my go-to AR and don't think I'll ever be changing it. I love the clarity and huge eyebox. I had an issue with the mount on mine and PA took care of me without any questions. Couldn't be happier with performance.
Another 👍 I’ve had two of these for a few years. Have been solid. 2x is max close use for me. Own 1x micro and probably the only one that would like to see 2x on the micro. Hate supporting oppressive government, but hate astigmatism and limited budget.
I ordered one of these today from Optics Planet since they had an 11% off sale. The primary arms logo on the side looks horrible so I'll probably acetone it off. But I'm really looking forward to getting this optic. I think it'll be perfect for my 8.5" 300 blackout folding pistol build.
Interesting and versatile optic. The field of view could be bigger, probably my only gripe. However, there was clearly a deliberate design choice made to sacrifice a bit of FoV in order to deliver a *very* forgiving eye relief and eye box - both of which were successfully obtained here. One reason I think users tend to be fond of the GLx 2x is that it stands out for its sheer ease of use compared to most other magnified optics. Mine has ended up perched on a “tactical” 10/22 and I really enjoy it in that role. Also would rock on an AK, 9mm PCC, or .300 BLK.
After further use I have concluded this optic would also kick ass on a .30-30 lever gun with a Pic rail receiver. I’m envisioning like a Cerakoted Marlin 336 with all-weather furniture; a California truck or ATV gun. Very compact and lightweight sighting solution. I would go with the 7.62x39/.300BLK reticle; quite close to the .30-30.
I have the 9mm Gemini version on a 10in Freedom Ordinance - It is a great optic that allows me to go to 100yrd - I use Strelok to be able to set the comps as needed, but the ones that are included with the varying barrel lengths are a good start.
Makes a lot of sense about manufacturing these in other countries. I buy Philippines optics instead of Chinese where I can but that's not always possible, unfortunately.
Thank you for commenting on the rheostat detents and battery door slot. I was very disappointed on those two things specifically. The rheostat is stiff, mushy, and its impossible to remove/tighten the battery cap without chewing it up.
This is a candidate for my carry handle on my 20" for now, when I get the ACOG then the carry handle will move off. But I'm interested to see how this one plays out.
This seems like the perfect optic for the cva 300 blk I plan on getting. Been eyeing this for a while Edit: a few things I should mention after owning the slx 1x. Use the vibra tite, not blue loctite. I used blue loctite and one of the cross bolts snapped and the screws that hold the spacers stripped out before I could remove them so I sent it to pa and they very much took care of me and replaced it with just the cost of shipping. Also: primary arms makes a 1.93 spacer that’s pretty cool and cheaper than the 1.8 adm mount.
@@lessforloans yeah I’ve heard nothing bad about them honestly. I personally want it so that I’ll have a fun host for 300 blk to have it as quiet as possible for when my nomad 30 gets approved. One in 308 would be very practical as well
By chance did the PA CEO give you any idea of when the PLX/c Meter will be back in stock? I’ve had one on back order for over a month. ETA has moved from early Sep, to late Sep, now to Oct. I’m alright with being patient, I’d just like to know when to move money around before they charge me.

I can afford up to $500 , I need to be able to see the deer or elks details. > Im using Primary arms acss older model scope just need a new scope.. any advice would be great
The GLx 2x is a great optic. The field of view isn’t great and the caps will grab the adjustments and screw up your zero if you twist them on too tight. Otherwise it’s great and I regularly use the optic.
I don't own a GLx prism but I have purchased 3 of their LPVO's and 1 red dot. I opine PA optics are one step above or at the same level as Sig and Vortex. I have old (dinosaur) optics made by Steiner, Aimpoint, EOTECH and Trijicon that are still to this date way over priced. These name brands sell old tech at new tech prices. I have nothing negative to say about PA so far; knock on wood!
How are Steiner and Aimpoint over priced? They are amazing duty grade optics that are worth every dollar. Primary arms isn’t even close to holding a candle to a p4xi or PRO.
@@jurpo6 First hand experience, opinions and reviews by unbiased experts; that's how. You can sometimes pick up the Trijicon TA47 2x for right around $700. That's still an ugly price for a 2x optic, but having used both, I stuck with the TA47.
The eye relief on this 2x is much longer than any 3x I've looked through. The eye box is good too. It was lighter than PA's old 3x (their new micro prism is lighter and smaller though). 2x magnification gives you just enough for target ID and increasing your hits at range while still be useful for short range. 3x can be a little much for close range though you can still make it work.
Why would someone choose the larger, more expensive, and less useable mag 2x over the Slx? All the reviews I’ve seen on the 2x say the magnification is rather pointless and that 3x is more appropriate for something like a patrol carbine.
Because it has a much better eye relief/eyebox than the 3x micro and you can run it much faster especially close range almost as fast as a 1x red dot. Better glass clarity as well. I ended up selling my 3x micro to buy a 2nd GLX 2x.
@@thews9237 oh yeah, I sold the 3x micro and never looked back, really didn't like it, but many people do so your experience may be different. Still have 2 GLX 2Xs. I also bought an SLX 1X Micro and this one is a pretty good little optic.
Disappointed to hear Primary Arms doesn't feel a PLx prism would be worth it. On the rifles these types of optics go on and purposes they serve, it's not about the perceived value for me. It's about having a quality dependable tool that I can trust to get the job done under the worst circumstances.
this is well documented that the mounts suck...everyone who says they dont probably dont get em out of the safe much lofl...good range toy but not a serious use optic
You've made it! You're getting review units from the CEOs. About time you got some recognition
Just a note. You can use one of the turret caps to open the battery compartment. They work perfectly and won't marr the aluminum.
