Between streaming services, podcast, working from home etc. our world become so curated that we can tune out anything that doesn’t interest us or is not relevant to our lives. I also agree on using real names as slang. For a while, the name sylvia was being used as a spinster and or evil mother-in-law and a lot of sitcoms not impressed! And the Deadpool Wolverine movie is full of Easter Eggs!!!
I'm 23, and I'm already feeling out of touch with the slang... Especially this year, there's so many things I'm hearing now that make me go "what?" And I do watch TikTok... Hahaha Yeet came from a Vine! (The TikTok of my time I guess.) That one still makes me laugh! 😂
@@kolbywilliams9302 not here. Maybe it differs, but for sure I hear “Kevin” used as the male version of “Karen”. Have never heard “Ken” used in that way. I hear he’s such a “Ken”, but in relation to generic boring guy. It’s all so weird anyway so I’m sure different people use different names
Well that was certainly different. Half if not most of these slag words and acronyms were unknown to me. That’s it I’m officially old😂. Thanks for the weekly vlog.
I knew around 75% of those but I don't think I've actually used any slay when I'm texting or talking to a friend. I think I've used ate, FR and fyp , before but that's about it 😂
They hired someone new and from that point became more and more vulgar and immature. They super focus on Taylor Swift & celebrity news. They focus a lot on partying & drinking. They aren’t my type of people.
I’m lmbo listening to you two 😂 I knew “bussin” only because my granddaughter said my scrambled eggs I made one morning for breakfast was bussin 😂 She says “cringe” esp when I sing in the car 😂
I don’t like a negative connotation with a name, BUT I had a boss named Karen in 2011 and she was insufferable! She would cuss us out. It was so awful.
I must be old because l am not getting this but l gess thats what the young ones of today like that ok with me as long as thay don't speak them to me great video thanks for sharing ❤
Our daughter is 24 and she doesn’t know a lot of them. Ashley is right in things change with each generation. My niece and nephew are 15 & 17 so they say and know these. My sister is well versed. 😂 No Cap and Dank were the first two slangs I learned from my nephew. I wouldn’t have the patience to figure out what the pictures meant. 🫠 Pulling up in a new whip?!?! That definitely wasn’t me at their age with the car I drove. 😂 This was super fun!
Yes I totally agree with u I’m soo blessed to be 62 n I can spell words without abbreviations lol crazy times we are living in txtng has hurt spelling as well I’m guilty of texting with abbreviations lol
"Chad" is pretty specific. I only ever hear it in reference to white men - usually with derision/contempt
I believe that. It’s a shame.
Well this was enlightening and entertaining!😂 Some words seem to fill a void and are actually useful, and others are just obnoxiously opaque.
Glad you enjoyed it!
The whole meal comes from "she's not a snack, she's a whole meal" I think
Fun video! Some of these take more effort than just saying the actual word
I 100% agree!

I'm kind of proud of myself. Just turned 37 and knew most of these.
I was about 40 when I lost the lingo, when started to find it cringey- the word that did it was the term “bet”.
I use AF, all the time- ha ha!
Never heard of “and I oop”, strange!!! I hate the baby talk!
BAE is an acronym! It stands for: “Before anyone else”.
I haven’t heard “bet”.
Every new word cringes tf out of me but notice I start using them after they get old. Drives my teenager insane lol
Wait! Gavin is a teenager?!!! 😮 How did that happen and where have I been!?!?
He’s getting there. He’s 11.
I feel for Kevin, I get sick when I read in the car too, it sucks
I can’t read in the car either.
I don’t like when they use names as a negative either. Especially bc the male version of a “Karen” is a “Kevin!” No way!!!
Is it really??
Oh wow! So not true!
@@joshuatexas yes! So rude
No that’s not true, the version people use for men is “Ken”

Snuf, those tabbaco pouches are very popular in Scandinavia. Personally my gums hurt just by looking at it haha
😄
As far as I'm aware furry started out as people who like to do the deed dressed as animals haha
Whatever floats your boat 🐈⬛🐩🐇🐿️🐻🐻❄️🐼🐨🐷 😄

We are in the same boat 😃

This was so fun! We paused after every word and played along. I’m 24 and knew a lot less than I thought I would 🤪
Don't feel bad - I sure don't ;) I'm glad you played along!!
Why don't you listen to that radio show anymore? I remember enjoying you and Kevin talk about the subjects brought up on there
They hired someone new and from that point became more and more vulgar and immature. They super focus on Taylor Swift & celebrity news. They focus a lot on partying & drinking. They aren’t my type of people.
@@TamiDunn oh yeah, I get it, it wouldn't be my thing either
This was fun to play along with! As a member of Gen Z I can confirm I'd never heard of most of these.
I’m glad you enjoyed it!

A thumbs up is a thumbs up as far as I’m concerned. I’ll take anything as long as you acknowledge you’ve received my text!
I think so too!
How old is Gavin now?
Gavin is 11.
@@TamiDunn aw man, he's so big. I remember him when he was about 4 and an only child still
Having two teenagers I knew all of these but I’m not proud of it.
You get an education!
I'm 31 and I don't know most of these haha
I think that’s a positive thing 😃
I don’t like a negative connotation with a name, BUT I had a boss named Karen in 2011 and she was insufferable! She would cuss us out. It was so awful.
How terrible!
My son is 12 and my daughter 10 so I'm hearing all the slang 😅
I’m sure you get to hear a new word every week 😃
I know a couple of my brothers friends who talk about skipidi toilet all the time unfortunately! now THAT is SERIOUS cringe!
🤣🤣
When you call somebody a Chad it's actually a compliment. Like hunk was used back in the day to refer to someone with muscles, same thing
Omg. I have 2 teenage boys and its a education everyday. Lol. Slay the day mom...what? Lol
I bet they know all of these!
@@TamiDunn I think they sound like ignorant hudlems. Lol
Great video
Thanks!
I enjoy the vlog!!
I'm so glad!
This vlog was hilarious 🤣 you educated me.
😂 I’m glad you enjoyed it 😃
I got a kick out of this! I was surprised you didn’t know whip! That was one I knew right away. I bet that term has been around since the 80s or 90s.
Kevin and I never heard it before.
Fun video ✌️ 😅
I have a question for when you do ? Video..
Would you rather have a lawn service, gardner.. housekeeper or a private chef ?
Great question! Thank you!
I must be old because l am not getting this but l gess thats what the young ones of today like that ok with me as long as thay don't speak them to me great video thanks for sharing ❤

A lot of these aren't slang as much as just AAVE, like woke

Ty Tami u ROK I’m a nice Karen it’s soo ridiculous the meaning behind my name
I think it’s immature to use names in a negative way. I don’t like to label people.
