@@JacobRestituto Actually, the double casting in this show is very cool. Daveed Diggs plays Lafayette and Thomas Jefferson (remember in Cabinet Meeting #2 , Jefferson asks Hamilton if he forgot Lafayette), Okierete Onaodowan plays Hercules Mulligan and James Madison and Anthony Ramos plays John Laurens and Phillip Hamilton. In the opening number, Diggs and Onaodowan sing, “We fought with him” which could mean literally, in the first act, as they play Hamilton’s fellow Revolutionary War compatriots and Ramos sings, “Me, I died for him”, because both of his characters die in the course of the show.
I can't wait til he gets to the Reynolds pamphlet he'll like that song a lot

Adore the timing changes in this and how the drumming builds... this motif comes back around in a later song too with a bit of a bigger climax from the stage cast on the 'oh!' part. Just the dynamics in this as well as the rap flow that gets faster and more complex on the build up too. Even better live!!

Because the plot development in that song isn't always clear to people here's the gist of it:
Aaron Burr decided he would rather work with Hamilton's enemies (Jefferson and Madison) who are now tracking his records particularly his spending of money because he created the financial systems and runs the treasury. Meanwhile what Hamilton has been spending his money on paying off James Reynolds to keep his affair secret.
Historically it was 3 random guys who tracked the money but for the musical these 3 made more sense.

Fun fact: The Hamilton soundrack was executively produced by The Roots.
Not sure if everything was recorded live though. And I think along with the way that Lin writes, they cemented that hip hop feel.

Loving the Hamilton breakdowns. Really looking forward to One Last Time which is next on the soundtrack. I hope you do a watch along live stream on here. You can just play the audio and time stamp it when you pause as we watch along. Nothing could prepare you for how incredible the staging of this is. I hope once you do all the Hamilton songs, you react to the Hamilton polka by Weird Al and After Burn that brings together a lot of the women who have played Eliza Hamilton with the original lyrics of the song.
I’ve watched...several of your Hamilton “reaction” videos. Watching you jam out to music I absolutely adore has been so fun. My 18 yr old (my youngest) has played violin since he was 5. I took him to the symphony twice/month for a few years. Watching him lean forward in his seat, with a huge smile on his face as he experienced the pieces I’d loved since childhood...yeah. Same thing.
I listen to this cast album just about every day, but after watching your videos I think I need to listen to it with earphones.

One thing that's the same then and now is how the whole "immigrant" thing is emphasized. He was often attacked in the press for being a Creole bastard because he was born and raised in the Caribbean and was literally a bastard because his parents weren't legally married (they were married "ceremonially" for lack of a better term, but not legally because his mother's ex-husband was an a**hole and laws back then were stupid towards women), and LMM really did a good job in portraying that with all the references to Hamilton as an immigrant and other little subtle things, like in "We Know" when Jefferson and his sidekicks all sing "You better GWAN run back where you come from," using the way people from the Caribbean would say "go on" to mock Hamilton.
Definitely should react to the entire movie on Disney + - watching it , each song will hit harder and with more meaning.

There are ways to watch the movie and post to YT. Some use twitch. Some break it into parts. Some cut their reaction down. It can be done.
I would post a short vid with a link to a Google Drive for people to access the whole recording, but I have found the ones that don't get removed are ones where they a) split it into multiple parts, or b) not displaying the screen, or at least not for most of the show. Everyone's watching for your reaction and has likely seen it, so not seeing the whole screen grab is not such an issue.
