You two seem to be far more relaxed in Poland, and it shows in the videos , great work.
When traveling lightish I just crack a couple dozen eggs into a tupperware container ... no fried egg, but scrambled or omelette are no problem, just give a good shake ,pour out what you need for your meal.
Another quick easy meal is make a dry mix for bannock another for pancakes, just add water for quick mystery meatless meals .. or stop and grab a hand full of cured sausage or bacon, I found that eating decent meals when traveling makes a huge difference.
Another subject one day for a good show might be talk about you and ewa's background, personal stuff aside, and how you migrated to your present Youtubing blogs/shows ..
Keep up the good work..
Some good simple ideas there... cheers
@@ontheroadadventure You are strange people. How can you think that drinking water can come directly from a river. Is it like that in your country? The water is from an underground source. I think you have some kind of mental block that makes you afraid to drink it.
16:30 People in the church were not approachable... You probably did not realize that this is not a museum or theme park but a place of worship. In Poland such places are still respected and priority is given to people who came there to pray. It is not inhospitability but Polish tradition of respect for other people privacy, personal space and individuality. And it still includes a religion.
We agree and appreciate that, which is why we did not try to talk to them or bother them, this was not a complaint but a observation.
Total respect to Polish authorities for their stance on illegal immigration.
They are the benchmark for national security on the international stage.
Its not for us to decide whats right or wrong, but they stand by what they believe in Firmly
oh, come on man, the current polish government is crawling to and pandering to the woke
You are allowed your own opinion on what is right and wrong though.
it was actually the previous government. Current one wants to change the policy because Germans want to sent their illigal migrants to Poland. Everything has changed along the last year. Now the government acts agains a law, democracy in Poland is decreasing and we are changing into smthin' like western version of Belarus, but with the patron from Berlin.
I didn't know much about Poland but this latest trip is an eye opener. The relaxed atmosphere and life styles of some of the people reminds me of England in the 1960's. Ewa keeps conjuring up some yummy meals, the sausages got my taste buds going. Great stuff guys.😊👍🏍
Glad you enjoyed it! Yes the UK has become Very fast paced, We need to slow down and take time for ourselves again
@@ontheroadadventureSo true
@@ontheroadadventure It's probably not very fast paced but epileptic or pre-mortem convulsions.🙂🙃 Sorry - just a ( spooky) joke...
Poland's eastern wall is the poorer regions of the country. You touched a little bit on the former Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth. In these areas you can feel the spirit of the old country. This is where Poles, Belarusians, Lithuanians, Tatars and Ukrainians live together. This is where a mosque, a Roman Catholic church and an Orthodox church stand side by side, but there are also empty Jewish synagogues. Everything is surrounded by the remains of wildlife.
It’s great that these religions can live next to each other with no dramas
To nie jest żaden "spirit of the old country", lecz historycznie najbardziej zrusyfikowana, zacofana ciemnota i chamska połać Polski - czego ciągłość zachowana jest do dzisiaj.

Is it just me or does every country on your travels look way better maintained than England. People have more time for people and it’s more chilled and relaxing, just saying! Something I’ve noticed where I live in Lincolnshire the traffic is so much more busy and less patient, great episode again..
Yes this is the truth of it, Less Traffic, Less noise, More Time... Roads are better on top of Mountain passes than most residential streets in the uk
Loving this series! Lots of laughs and great to see places that aren’t all mainstream tourist hot spots too!

Fantastic trip through Poland so far, very much enjoying it. On a side note, if you find yourselves in Norway one day, please take the time to see an authentic Norsk Stavkirke. I understand one was moved from Norway and erected in Poland (Karpacz to be specific).
We would love to go to Norway soon, Sadly it wont be this trip due to Brexit requiring Rich to go home soon as running out of Europe days...

I think it's a way to go ,self supporting ,good roads what's not to like, Poland, England 😮
Love the slow life
We have to agree
This place with crosses is Grabarka with votive crosses - Pope JPII also visited this place. Wells are always deep, so this holy water does not come from a river - it is faith that works miracles and Poland is the most religious country in Europe. Churches should be treated with seriousness. This region of Poland was enslaved by Russia for a long time, which is why there are many Orthodox churches, and in the rest of Poland Catholic churches predominate, as well as some Evangelical and Greek Catholic churches. In villages in this part of Poland there are many wooden houses because it was a very poor region, while in western Poland they are already rare. You asked about hot dogs, whether they are popular - rather not, they are bought by tourists as a quick snack and usually at gas stations, although tourists from America say they are better than American ones. In the future, exchange currency at ATMs, of which there are many, rather than at currency exchange offices. In the cities you can eat very tasty and not expensive because about 20 to 30 PLN for a dinner like home but in eateries or milk bars and not in a restaurant. Have a nice trip!👍
Thanks some great tips there we didn’t know we could do that at the ATM that’s very helpful. We like the hotdogs, and you have the best gas stations in Europe! Thanks for joining us 👍
You should stick to ATM tips, bc what you wrote about Polish Orthodox Church in Eastern Poland is a hot pile of offensive bs. Orthodox Christianity was practiced in these parts all the way back in the times of Kievan Rus and then Grand Duchy of Lithuania, centuries before Russia even existed as a political entity. Jagiełło was pagan before the union of krevo, and so were a lot of Lithuanians, but most of his subjects were Rus and most of those were Orthodox Christians. There were already churches in most cities of GDoL BEFORE Catholic Church officially christened these lands and ppl-it just were Orthodox Churches. And given that Kievan Rus was introduced to Christianity whole century earlier than Poland, some people in these part of the world might very well be Christian before duke Mieszko ever existed. So ignoring all that history and saying that some ppl in Eastern Poland are Orthodox Christians mostly due to Russian oppression and partitions is highly offensive and just lies. Russian Empire did persecute Catholic Church during the partitions in hopes of driving ppl away from this faith and towards the Orthodox Church they’ve controlled at that point. But to remember this part of history theres’s 0 need to twist prior 9 centuries of it.

Hi guys loving watching you on your travels in Poland and Slovakia . I just recently returned form my adventure from Switzerland and Italy dolomites I also came across these look a like pop-up campsite and they where rammed packed in like sardines. This was in the dolomites in Italy just when they were having their national holiday I ended tried 5 campsite and they were all full even the Hotel had no rooms going. so I ended up riding through the night and ended up back in Germany the following morning . And found a lovely wooded campsite. But I had problems with mosquitoes 🦟 I was bitten from head to toes the time I got home. But still had a great trip. 👍👍👍
Sounds allot like our experience! Still bloody great though isn’t it!
The English probably genetically - culturally since the time of Hawkins and Drake as tireless explorers and colonisers have a very special, particular approach to travel and resilience - and even taking pleasure in hardship and extreme situations. No complaning. I have not observed this in anyone but the English.
A few years ago in my city I saw an Englishman at high noon in the extremely heat walking across barefoot.... And this is why the world's lingua franca is English.
Do you realize that you are visiting the poorest region in Poland? Still sometimes called "Poland B". That is why it is such a great place for vacation. But cleaningness, great maintenance of everything and apparent total absence of severe poverty is even more impressive then.
Yes, its often where people have the least that people are so nice
Yet another superb episode guys. Love that you make the effort to meet a few locals and visit random places.
Great sense of humour from both of you….”pain in the neck” wisecrack made me smile also Ewa suggesting she tips the ‘holy water’ over Rich😂

Thanks for watching and being with us on the road in Poland
11:30 There are many natural springs in Europe :) The water is pristine and drinkable, no sane person would draw water directly from the river.
Yes i Expect its a deep Well... Im sure its great water...
Poland looks like a very welcoming place. OK, the roads are long and straight where you are just now, but I'm sure you will find some twisty hills soon. Cooking, you seem very happy with the Trangia set up, looks like gas canister powered. Do you find the gas runs out a bit quick? Can you find fresh supply easily on the road? How about a detailed review of your gear when you get back to the UK and the camping season is over? Keep posting, we love it.
Yes Trangia is a good bit of kit. Not my Favourite but probably the Best all rounder. I Enjoy to cook more with the Firemaple Grill for example but its a one trick pony... Gas is easy to find on the road and one can will last about a week
Probably the holy water will help only if you believe, not when you joking about.

9:39 An interesting fact is that 3 hours north-east of the town of Biała Podlaska there is a village called Kruszyniany. This is a place where since the 17th century the Tatar national minority has lived, who profess Islam. You guys are great to watch. There are TV shows less entertaining than you two. Regarding Polish drivers tailgating you, ride faster! You are on motorcycles & not many cars can go quicker than you. I always ride with the flow of the traffic +5mph to avoid the very situation that you have often brought up on the Polish roads. I think that it is far more dangerous, & stressful, to be a mobile road block on a motorcycle. Keep up the good work, I’m looking forward to the next episode already.
Riding faster is not the best idea especially when touring in another country, The police in Poland like to hide on the straights behind the trees too
@@ontheroadadventure I hear what you’re saying, I really do, but looking at your speedos you are riding really sedately, probably the road’s limit & enjoying a chilled ride, nothing wrong with that. If you do this, however, & everyone else wants get along quicker I think that you are more vulnerable. The Polish cops won’t bother too much if all the traffic is flowing at the same speed. I just want you guys to stay safe & enjoy the country.
As a Pole without any tribal turbo-patriotic traits, I have to admit that it is sometimes possible to like - or even love - cosy Poland. Unfortunately, this Polish cosiness, preserved at all costs, ignoring and disregarding external threats in the belief that "somehow, against all odds, it will all work out", has always ended badly in Polish history.
I just hope that with all the shit going on in the world today, it will not happen again.
Warm regards.

"The church burned down twice and they rebuilt it a third time. Still out of wood". Is this another definition of madness?
The UK could do with adopting the Polish approach to illegal immigration
