The Chiffons - He's So Fine. During the copyright lawsuit which George lost, John said something like "Seven notes are too many". While we're here - Bill Oddie, Harry Krishna (on John Peel's record label Dandelion).
If anyone knows of a better tribute to John than All Those Years Ago, let me know.
It's been said that the ideal fourpiece consists of the gobby one, the pretty one, the quiet one, and the loon. The Beatles patented it, The Monkees copied it, and The Who perfected it - which is a good moment to point out that John Entwistle was another good songwriter overshadowed by a great one.
