Do you have any template in excel with numbers or presentation by taking into consideration of one practical business example. that would help us to understand more about profitability.
I'm not quite sure I understand what you're looking for. But we don't have any kind of excel templates. Can you describe what you're looking for in more detail? I may be able to point to some recommendations or suggestions.
Hi! If the interview prompt directly mentions that revenues have been declining, should your structure still mention costs or should you delve into categories like customers, competitor, market trend etc.?
If the interview prompt mentions that revenues have declined, then there should be no need to look at costs. Focus on breaking down revenue into its respective components and determining whether the revenue decline is concentrated in a particular geography, product line, customer segment, etc. Once you've identified the revenue driver behind the decline, you can look into customers, competitors, market trends to understand why this is happening.
I want to include one thing, Doesn't the internal factors play role in the decreament of revenue? Like improper manufacturing, more wastage in manufacturing, inefficient warehouse or workshop techniques, Poor Employee performance etc... If yes, please make another video including these

Right to the point
Great Job, really helpful video!
I think logically, we should first determine the decrease in sales part (and not the pricing in our firm) and then move to the competitor's pricing.
Great video
Thanks! Glad you found it helpful

Those are factors that would make costs increase. They don't impact revenue directly which is why we'd put those on the cost side.
What could be our solutions if government regulations are increasing our cost?
Great
Profit is a percentage of revenue. So if revenue declined by 100mn, profit would not be directly related to revenue.
best
Thanks Nivesh!
