Hey buddy, I've seen lots of channels talking about cars on youtube. But for sure, youre the best! You really know what you were talking about, it was just simple, and clean! Congrats
The last generation Durango was hideous, but the Chrysler Aspen was conversely quite a looker. This Durango is beautiful, and I realize Chrysler has placed the Grand Cherokee as the more "upscale" cousin, but I have to say...deep down...just for the sake of doing it, I wish Chrysler would create an Aspen version of the Durango again. If for no other reason, the Chrysler brand needs more than three models right now!
You're a great reviewer. I think this car is a better choice than an enclave and more reasonable one than a gl. Can you put your hands on a 2014 chevrolet SS. Will appriciate.
The lift gate button is above the mirror. I have this car and I can't say enough about it. HEMI 5.7, all wheel all the time. Heated steering wheel, heated cooled seats, heated second row seats, moon roof, liftgate has a button under the handle where you just squeeze, then opens on it's own, proximity key fob, auto leveling headlamps (HID), all around sensors, smooth ride, Alpine system. Opens with key fob and a button from the garage remote above the mirror. And it comes with a butler...just kidding. Great jog Chrysler Dodge!
In Canada and Alaska they sell AWD versions so I called one of their salesmen to discuss how it works all year round. The V8 has the two gear options and the V6 senses temperature and switches to AWD at 37 deg F. I would love for one of these reviewers to show its V6 performance uphill from dead stop in snow and also discuss its warm weather use. Any info on V6 AWD would be appreciated.
The car changes to AWD based on temperature? And you believe that? No... that's not how it works. The salesman was either dumb as a rock or pulling your leg.
I'm curious for any Canadian watching this video. Is it worth the cost financially to purchase an American spec Durango (or any car) in the US and ship it back to Canada? I'm guessing the import taxes would be fairly steep so perhaps it might not be worth it.
very very like this vehicle. But the only problem is FUEL/GAS. 20l/100km is too much. I know it equipped V8, and you can choose V6, but actually, the different is not too much. V6 took around 17-18l/100km. My cousin's 4runner only took 13-14l/100km though. That 4runner was top of the line from Toyota too, 2012 model.
Great Review.... I am having trouble choosing between the RT with the sportier handling and sport tuned double exhaust vs the Citidel which offers the tan interior but gets away the double exhaust. Is there anything you can add to help me decide? Also, is the V6 amazing or just 'okay' vs the HEMI?
20L/100km? Me thinks you were using some poor winter-blend gas. In American units that's about 11.7 miles per gallon and is so low it's almost unheard of in regular driving. Most users report fuel economy quite inline with the EPA sticker.
Lol, not true about what you can get on this SUV. You can get the same big u connect radio on the RT also. The trunk BOTTON is right on top buy the rare mirror panel. Not sure if Canada got different Durangos but this guy is off with what you can get in different trim levels. And to the guy who said you can get a MkT for this price is crazy but right. That MKT is hideously ugly. Why would you spend all that money to be big an ugly. I drove both MKT and the Dodge RT hemi version and the Rt is way more fun to drive and better looking for the price.

Congrats
The liftgate release button is there, I used it at a dealership showroom. It's above your head next to the sunroof controls.
Nice and clean review.
Good job!
In the video the speaker complains about a missing button. The Power lift gate button is on the upper console above the rearview mirror.
Steven Johnson yeah I know

Great review! I've watched your reviews dating back to your days next to Dagmar on Global's DTV since I was a little kid.

Nice review as always Zack!

I think the rear lift gate button is near the moonroof, and garage door buttons.
I'm only here to see if it has tow package
You can get the 8.4 inch screen on all models except the base SXT
Rear liftgate button? It's on the upper center console near the sunglass compartment.
Dad has a 2012 citadel and the trunk release is located just under the map lights, dont know if the newer ones are the same....
which one wil you recommand, the durango or the exporer? love your review
Great review as always . Thanks .
20l/100km, sounds great.
great video, what is the colour name of yours?
great review

Eventual420 Are you sure about the 37 degree drive shift? I was told it's a 50/50 front and rear axle shift once slippage is detected in the V6.

+J High It's not worth it, probably would even cost you more to ship it back to Canada
Wouldn't it compete more (in terms of space) with the GMC Acadia, Buick Enclave, & Chevrolet Traverse, rather than the Ford Flex?

4 runner is quite a bit smaller.

Bill Kay so what did you end up buying? I have the same exact dilemma as yours. Really want the tan interior
Is this the Granite Crystal Metallic, Billet Steel Metallic, or the Maximum Steel Metallic color?
Christopher Murphy granite Crystal Clearcoat
Oh yea and 60k is way off unless that's Canadian pricing. This thing fully loaded is around 46-47k at max! Not sure what pricing he's quoting.
My 2014 sxt plush has 8.4 and my dealer put nav on it

zack, what happened to your reviews in the vancouver sun? reading the friday edition is not that good anymore...
I'm no longer with the Sun, I moved over to Black Press for all their weekly papers throughout BC. Go to drivewaybc.ca to read my weekly reviews.
In Canada this is so much more expensive. My dad just paid 60,000 for his durango rt
Quite striking imposing design, successful SUV styling there dodge.
This car has alot of good reviews ..A LOT!!
60k for a dodge?

Good looking car, shit engine with problems all the time.
zorkor Dodges have problems. That 5.7 hemi is not one of them. Ever.
Yeah, no, the Hemi engine is bullet proof. They have issues, just not that.
