FYI.....The V6 rated towing capacity is 6200 lbs, not 6900. The Hemi V8 is rated at 7400 lbs. Also the standard single exhaust pipe V6 engine is rated at 290 hp. Only the dual exhaust pipe equipped Citadel V6 and SXT and Limited models with the optional Blacktop or Rallye appearance packages have dual exhausts. All optional Hemi equipped V8's have standard dual exhausts including the standard Hemi R/T.
This is an exceptional review. Very intelligent and well executed. Fantastic discussion of the design nuance, both aesthetic and technical. Execution needs a tiny bit of polish but overall it's easily in the top 3... or better.
I'm glad to see you're back from hiatus with an indepth review of this vehicle which I happen to own. I have a 2015 Citadel AWD V6 and I love it. Great amenities, comfortable ride quality, and no major issues so far. You mentioned all the features and options. I recommend this trim level to anyone in the market for this class of SUV. Dodge dealers are reducing prices to clear their inventory and I got an unbeatable deal on mine.
Mateo Bang I actually traded mine in a few months ago on a 2017 Volvo XC90 only because the dealer gave me an offer I couldn't refuse. My Durango had 38,000 miles and I never had any issues with it at all. I actually miss it especially since I'm seeing more of them on the road lately. I recommend purchasing the extended maintenance warranty if you buy a new one just in case.
nice quick review. which one drives more like a car and less like a truck, cx-9 or durango ? also seat comfort in durango , are they firm or on the plush side?
Depends on what trim you get. An R/T Durango will drive more like a muscle car, while a Citadel will drive more lie a luxury car. A standard Durango may drive less like a car than the CX-9. The Durango, especially the R/T and Citadel are much more comfortable than the CX-9. They seat more plush, although the R/T will have a harsher more sporty ride feel.
Hi.. I do have a 2015 V6 limited version, for about 3 years and is been all good I love my Durango.

I recently bought a 2014 citadel and love it. Has great power, love the comfort and all the options. Will be doing a review myself soon

Usually up to 100,000 miles but you may find higher mileage warranties online or after market.
You're stepping in front of the product too often. Step back, speak, and let the eyes of the viewer see the car.
exactly the one we had
GREAT VIDEO!!!!

+Umair Osman The Mazda drives better and more like a car, the Dodge is far more comfortable and upscale.

he looks like luke bryan
still keeping my 01 durango over this any day
With that much money you should go for the RT doesn't make sense to pay that much for a V6 citadel
I would rather have the V6 Citadel. Honestly getting the V8 for me is too much. I don't really haul much and the gas mileage will kill me.
The R/T is overrated. Get the Citadel with the Hemi; done.
Wonder what you guys think now that gas prices are at 5 dollars a gallon.. Lol
Is that in black or Maximun Steel?
That's definitely the black. Looks badass.
good review mate
From the back it looks almost like the dodge caravan. They could have done better.
