We're fans of a good Twix here at TRY HQ, but in Ireland we only have the one flavour. After a kind viewer sent us a few varieties of the American versions and assorted flavours, we knew we had to give them a go. So as always, we got our Irish People in to see what they thought of Dark, White, Triple Chocolate and... everyone's favourite... Peanut Butter!

Gotta give Dermot props for putting the peanut butter twix in his mouth a second time and always love how positive Ciara is. Even if she doesn't like it, she describes it and took another bite out of the peanut butter one. And was very motherly of her to make sure the chocolate didn't melt all over Dermot's shirt. She and Justine are great.

Yes, there are certain phrases/sentences I've heard in my life and I've never been able to rationalize them;such as "that's too much chocolate" ," that's too cheesy" , that's too sweet" , that's too salty" . I've never felt any of those things in my entire life
When I realized that Dermott, Brian and George were all in the video, I knew what the final twix flavor was going to be.
I like George's version of the Southern American accent. It's somewhere between Foghorn Leghorn and the Captain from "Cool Hand Luke" (i.e. the guy who's famous line in the movie is "What we have here is a failure to communicate").

@Jesse James - You got me there Jesse. Ya know, I could totally see George dropping that line on Dermot during one of their face-offs. Would be perfect for an episode in the vein of "Irish People Try Flavored American Whiskeys," as Dermot and George sample some Southern Comfort..

George's Southern accent reminds me more of Christopher Walken in the hilarious 'Colonel Angus' SNL skit.
Come to think of it, I recall that KFC ran a large campaign of ads in the US where a different actor pretended to be Colonel Sanders in each commercial. They came across as pretty lame, at least as I saw it.
KFC would have done much better to have adorned George in a Kentucky Colonel outfit (replete with string tie), silvered his hair and beard, and then unleashed him to pontificate on the culinary wonders of fried chicken. Cast Dermot as the frazzled KFC store manager, on whom the Colonel condescends to drop pearls of homespun wisdom, and it would have been a hit...🤪

I was thinking the same thing! Like white chocolate has no cacao in it so it's legitimately a crapton of sugar and milk.
White chocolate doesn't have to have a ton of sugar like ours does. I guess theirs has less. It's using cocoa butter without the bean solids that makes it white chocolate.

Agreed, but fun fact: Twix actually changed their biscuit recipe a few years ago. It's no longer a normal shortbread and now uses a 'crunch' wafer international recipe instead. Which means many people now think it is an inadequate biscuit as well as limp.
White chocolate and dark chocolate are my favorite ones. I like breaking up the dark chocolate one and putting in butterscotch ice cream with a drizzle caramel sauce.
I watched this one just for the peanut butter. Thank you whoever is the producer for this segment.

I actually applaud Dermot for trying the peanut butter and giving it a shot. It's not easy when you do not like something, but he still attempts it. Although, there is a part of me (the cooking part) that is racking my brain to figure out a good peanut butter recipe. Or a good one using peanut butter.

One year, for Christmas, they made a gingerbread twix where they replaced the cookie with gingerbread. It was the best thing I've ever had. Every year I pray they'll bring it back

I’d love to see them try the alcohol flavored Haagen Dasz ice cream! I’d send some, but, I think it would melt before it got to Ireland. If they have it there, please do a video on it. They’re yummy! Especially the Bourbon Vanilla!!!

They brought back cookies and creme Twix. They were my favorite candy bar as a kid, then they just stopped making them for decades. And now it's back! I randomly stumbled upon them at the gas station and may have bought the entire box of them.

Living in the city where Twix are made, the best days of the year are when they're cooking the biscuit. The whole town smells amazing.
What's really good is to take a couple of scoops of vanilla ice cream, let them soften a bit, then use the triple chocolate Twixt as a spoon to scoop up and eat the ice cream, every so often taking a bite of the Twixt with the ice cream.
