I needed to raise mine just a little because I was getting tire rub on the driver's side fender at the rear bottom of the wheel well with 35 tall tires, so I got a reverse shackle kit that they claimed would lift the front 1 1/4 inches, and also used modern f350 leaf springs, and there longer length provides a better ride, my lift end up being only 3/4 of a inch and that was fine with me. Just a little FYI for those interested.
I'm glad you fixed the body line between the cab and bed! It was driving me nuts watching the last video of this truck. Love the look you are going with!!!!
I've got a 95' F250 7.3 powersmoke on 285/75 r16. (33") 4×4 and is just under 7' (which is my garage door height) Yet my gap from rear wheel to bed and front tire to fender. It may have had a leveling kit put on before I got it.
When I got my 1989 OBS 1Ton It came with some 16.5x10 wheels with 0 offset. Made for 5.5BS total. When I had to get new tires I went with a Vision 17x9 -12. The BS was 4.5 but it still had that perfect 5.5" of wheel infront of the hub that gives just the perfect amount of poke. Cleared the Bricknose front bumper no issue. 35x12.5 tires look amazing on these trucks and work great with the 4.10 gear ratio.
Keep an eye on the wiring harness where it passes through the valve covers it can rot and melt. Destroyed my otherwise perfect 97 and cracked the block when they shorted out and started to crossfire . Ford fixed the problem on the 2000 valve cover gasket and harness.
Thank you for putting a normal size wheel and big tire on the truck. Allyou see nowadays are guys putting huge wheels and small tires and I think that looks terrible. Truck looks great keep it up
@@94SexyStang the bricknose is the 87-91 same wheelwells as the obs 92-97. Bullnose 80-86 wheelwells were huge compared to them. Ive owned em all and ran many different tire/lift combos.
so i just put 305/70/17s on and the alignment is off got it aligned but its still off and i have 4 inch lift to bring the truck up to what i believe is stock height for f350 my problem is it rubs at full lock when turning left and the camber/caster/toe are still off is there a way to fix this as i cannot find adjustable ball joints for my truck any help is appreciated it is on an f250 hd diesel with a ttb front end
Hey I love these wheels and want a set on mine I looked on there website and can’t find 8 bolt wheels did u use a spacer or what did u do. Love the truck
With running the 35”, have you noticed any performance issues - shifting points, etc. Looking to move up and heard there might be a concern there. Thanks.
If anything I think the truck does better, but I have a built trans on this truck. One huge benefit for me is reduced RPMs at highway speeds. With factory 4.10 gears, this truck had a hard time going 65mph on the factory tires.
If it wasn’t for the trans failure I’d have next to nothing in this truck! It’s basically only wheels, tires, exhaust, a tuner, and gauges aside from basic maintenance stuff.
Scott Farnsworth I’d say budget around 3-4k for some basic mods? I’m about 2k into mods if you don’t count the trans. That alone was a rough $4k to drop 😭
John Brink sadly since it isn’t real chrome (it’s just coated plastic) your best option is to completely replace it. You can try a little polish on it, but depending on how bad it is a new one will be your best bet.
whats with you and carli focusing on backspacing????? Offset is based on the center of the wheel, width plays no affect. The same backspacing on different width wheels fit completely differently and involves way more math just to end up going with offset. thuren has it right going off of offset lol. Ive sold wheels and tires for a few years now if im missing something please correct me lol
Saw the California tag. Be careful with advertising the bumper trimming. Those Cali/commi cops will be taking you to jail for illegal modification to a vehicle lmao.
feel free to follow me on Insta to see more of the trucks! instagram.com/avvblanc?igshid=bsqxz0y66tpf
I’m not sure you understand the jealously level that is obtained through this video. What a setup! Love it.

All I did was park on flat ground 😂
That is the most beautiful OBS f350 I've ever seen. Those wheels are bad to the bone
Love the oem+ look of your truck
Killer video production quality!
Just get a leveling kit, will look awesome
Damn my dream truck, makes me wanna pull the trigger and get one even with the extreme fuel prices right now.
I have a 96 f250 excab 7.3 5 speed with the ttb and clear 35s no issue besides at full lock.

Well thank you for the info my 92 F350 will now be getting 35 x 12.50’s now
One tough truck!!!!
Leave it as is just like that
Sometimes less is more
This makes me want to buy one. What a beauty !!!
It’s been less then 24 hrs I’ve watch it at least 10 times.

Yeah 35’s are where it’s at with 4:10 gears. I can actually keep up with traffic now haha.
James Marquis 80-97 is Old Body Style. Same body, 3 different front clips. Bull nose, Brick nose, Round Nose (sometimes referred to as Aero nose).
Amazing production 👍🏻

Appreciate the tip!
I'm about to do 22s on 35s on my single cab dually 💪🏻 can't wait
Beautiful truck 👍👍👍👍
Damn! Bronze is badass!!
Love the setup
Love the truck and the videos
wow thats a very sweet truck those wheels and tires look great ps I liked and subscribed
The OBS is looking great man!
Jason Waterfalls what does OBS mean?

You will never see a set up like that on one of my trucks unless I’m making fun of it haha.
Subbed. Just bought a 96 powerstroke and will do exactly what you said will be in your next video. Looking forward to when you’re able to put it out
This Thursday!
Had 37” militarys on my 85 f250 unlifted. Man that thing was sweet. But the bullnose trucks have larger wheel wells then then bricknose or obs.
you got it backwards, bricknose had More room than the 90's....you didn't need to trim on the late 80's.

Beautiful. Surprised you can even own one in Cali 🤘
97 is actually pre-smog here so you can have fun with em!

Yup, my son just picked up a real nice one like yours for only 7k. He didnt want to deal with smog either.
Nice truck
Looks good
I prefer Offroad looks bad the wide ad possible stance craze going on rn 😂
Dope visuals bro
What tire dressing do you use? Trucks always look great man! So glad you made a UA-cam I’ve been following your instagram for some time now!
Thank you! Give this video a watch and it will answer that question! ua-cam.com/video/amehwbv6VHU/v-deo.html
What camera do you use? the video quality looks great!
Thank you! I shoot on a Sony A7riii and love it!
@@JustDiesels Do you use a gimbal?
Ok, I've spent hours trying to figure out what model of wheels you have on that OBS with the machined method wheels with black rings. Love that look
Those are machine finish Method Double standard wheels. I had the rings powder coated black! 👍
ooo where did you get those headlights?
This makes me wanna attempt to stuff some under my 95 f150
Do they make these wheels anymore? I tried looking them up but can’t find them in a 8x6.5 bolt pattern
I wonder if I could fit 35x12.5 on a dually? All 6 tires? Stock height
What camera you got and lens? Love the B roll
Thanks! Shooting on a Sony a7rii and for this video I used a sony 24-70 GM and a Sony 50mm 1.4 GM lens 👍

Must be nice to have round wheel wells. LOL
Do you think I can run 305/70/17 on my 1987 f250 stock height ??
does this rim and tire setup fit on obs f250?
which wheel model you used
Have u checked ur mpg w these tires?
Hey I love these wheels and want a set on mine I looked on there website and can’t find 8 bolt wheels did u use a spacer or what did u do. Love the truck
They sadly discontinued these wheels for 8 lug trucks!

How much money do you have into this truck? Just wondering what it would take if I wanted to do a similar build
If it wasn’t for the trans failure I’d have next to nothing in this truck! It’s basically only wheels, tires, exhaust, a tuner, and gauges aside from basic maintenance stuff.
@@JustDiesels but we still want a ballpark, ofc it's never really worth it. nice video!

Just Diesels thanks! That’s actually not as bad as I thought, a lot of times even basic mods are stupid expensive.
I notice you went with toyo r/t and you ridge graps which do you like better and is there many differences
After running both, I like the Ridge Grapplers better. They’re quieter, and do better in ice and snow than the RT. Both are solid tires though!
I have the same truck except with the 5 speed. I need to restore the chrome on the grill. How did you do yours or was it still good?
John Brink sadly since it isn’t real chrome (it’s just coated plastic) your best option is to completely replace it. You can try a little polish on it, but depending on how bad it is a new one will be your best bet.
Did you notice any difference in the speedo ...did it need recalibrated?
Yes the speedometer changed, but not a meaningful amount!
What is the song at 0:38 ?
It's the instrumental version of Working Man's Banjo by Liam Mogan and the full song with vocals is so good!
Just Diesels I’ll definitely be sure to check it out!
Did you replace or restore the XLT trim? It looks new.
nope! One side looks great, but the other is a a bit sun burned sadly.
Zuma Beach?

Okay let’s be fair, there’s two numbers for a reason and you can go off either, I just like to reference backspace. Do whatever works for you!
@@JustDiesels good deal, well said. love the chanel
Would it work with a 2wd f150?
No, the f350s have larger and beefier springs, and the 4wd also adds some height.
You should put cab lights on the ford it would look better
It would, but I can't bring myself to drill holes!

I put a bunch of truck audio in this video! Any clip where the truck is moving has live audio!

Wrong era wheels, but to each there own
The permanent set will be right at home on this truck!
