Sadly, there are towns out there that want nothing to do with the confederate flag. I do understand abit on reasons why and such. But it is still part of history and just due it being on a car like the general Lee. Its just a Icon display of TV history. Not because owner of said car agrees with the History of the Flag. But, a few towns in Louisiana and Alabama have Ruled that they arent allowed, and will give out Hefty fines for displaying the flag. even by driving thur the town. Even if you dont live there

When you were removing the starter, I thought for sure you could just take out the motor mount bolts and jack up the engine to get a little more clearance. I've done that with GM cars before, but never had the chance with an old Mopar, so I didn't know if that would even work. When you discovered the loose flexplate bolts, I got the notion that someone just never properly tightened them or that maybe they just need some locktight on the threads.
Same here, I did get a 69 Charger tho with a 383...but it was B-5 blue. Wasn't my first car either...first was a 74 Camaro that I bought with my paper route money and drove it to drivers education. Second was a 71 Charger 318. Third was a 78 Z-28 but soon switched to heavier duty T/A's and lost count of them. Aways the T/A package never a regular Firebird. Heck, I rolled my tenth anniversary silver T/A six times and bought new tires every spring since. I wanted plates that read DRTYBRD so if someone didn't get it I'd hold up two middle fingers asking them if they wanted to buy some vowels.

Another General Lee 😳 good for you, as long as it makes your day. The paint looks excellent. At least the workshop is big compared to yours at home. On the fly for a stripped bolt or hole threads you can slide in a piece of guitar string in the threaded hole and depending on how bad it is, you have 6 string sizes to choose from.
