- Опубліковано 8 лют 2025
- In November of 2022, I took Ocean Nova from Ushuaia to Antarctica. This video shows all areas of the ship accessible to passengers and a full tour of cabin 302.
Due to COVID, the bridge was off limits, though it is sometimes open for guests.
I'm happy to answer any questions anyone might have!
Very special thanks to Martin Mc Kenna for letting me use some of his excellent drone footage. You can see and license his work at his channel.

Kayaks! Also if I can't go, it is so wonderful to get your version. You are a great guide.
What an adventure!
Beautiful but as a solo traveler, that state room is sooo small. I don't know how I'd do with that. How did you feel about it? I love this ship though, for the mere fact it only has about 70 passengers, give or take (plus crew, of course). What a lovely small ship that isn't packed with 300 people.
Honestly, the size of the room wasn’t a problem at all. I found it quite comfortable despite its sparseness.
@@jeffwagg Thank you, good to know.
Well it looks like everyone was had a good time. Looking forward to Hopefully seeing a little more of your trip.
I should have at least another video. I had a lot of equipment failures and most of the footage I took is unusable, sadly. But as they say, it's all created in the editing...
Looking forward to seeing what ever you'll be able to salvage @@jeffwagg . Darn those armed cyborg penguins protecting the flerf icewall. Merrffff I know it's sad people are making money & attention for such a bogus conspiracy theory.
ps
Hey Jeff odd question, I sub to a few flerf debunkers & being a Skeptic/Debunker yourself that they would love to have a conversation with you about your Whole trip to Antarctica & back. Any chance of thinking about having a conversation about your trip to Antarctica & your Opinions on the flerf conspiracy BS?
@@tpseeker3367 I’ve purposely avoided the Antarctica conspiracy theory stuff, but I’m happy to talk about what I saw when I went there, and how I verified my location.
Don't blame ya @@jeffwagg . Just glad you had a good time. Looks like you picked best time to go. You looked warm & wasn't freezing.
Looks fantastic, I'm green with envy already!
Green with envy, green with seasickness... :) But I'm ready to go back.
Good video
Wow, what a trip! Hope you didn't need that bag in your cabin!
I didn't need the bag! I carried one around in my back pocket. However... on the way back I thought I was tough and didn't wear the patch. That cost me a couple of visits to the wet bath...
also why is the escape hatch in the floor?
It took me a bit to figure that out - it's not an escape hatch for me, it's for the folks working in the engine room.
Lol@@jeffwagg
Cool ! Whats the name of tour operator ?
Antarctica21 for Antarctica.
You wouldn't believe of all places she was at Tilbury, UK just a few months ago. I have a short video of her departure on my channel
She's a well traveled vessel! I've been on 50 or so ships, and she's one that will stick with me.
@@jeffwagg Yes. But I bet Tilbury isn't the place you would of thought she'd been?
This time of year, she's making her slow journey back to Ushaia, so I'm not TOO surprised. One great things about ships this size is that they can go places like that. Some day, i hope I can visit as well. :)
Is no one going to call me out for saying "vomitoire" incorrectly?
