I always like y’all’s advice but I feel for the daughter in law. My mom was always jealous of me, and made these “compliments.” In reality she just wanted me to put myself down in return while complimenting her. It does get exhausting when you know someone is constantly looking at you. It’s weird, idk how to explain it but it always made me feel dirty and bad for being “better.” (In her eyes)
That girl just doesn’t want her dude to go have fun in Mexico without her so she’s skipping her best friends wedding lol

That girl with the wedding decision is a complete asshole. That lady was your MOH and you did that to her just so you could be on your husbands backside and watch him in Mexico. No, to do that to a best friend is foul. That friend should never speak to her again.
You go to your friends wedding and your husband goes to his friends wedding. You dont need to spend everyday with your spouse. Yes you are 100% the AH.

The wedding is definitely difficult cause the Mexico wedding is the couples core friend group in their adult life.
If you go to one and not the other the results will be the same.
You either hurt one friend or you both go separately.

There are ways to get skunk smell out. My dog had the same thing happened. I think I did vinegar and tomato paste. It worked really well! I got it off google.

On the note of chores, one of the things that my husband and I do is whoever cares the most about how something gets done has to do that thing. So we each have certain roles that we take on and then there’s other stuff that’s a free for all. We also try to go with the momentum of productivity. So start with something easy and take that momentum to do more time consuming things.

Sounds like the person writing in would have FOMO not going to the Mexico wedding since more of their group of friends they hang w/ regularly will all be there. I understand wanting to celebrate weddings w/ your significant other too but really seems like the best choice would be to split up and she go to CO to celebrate her MOHs special day while her hubs goes to MX ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ unless her and her former MOH arent as close any more and she wasnt going to be a MOH or in the wedding party.
