I was thinking about doing turkey breast in the crockpot for Thanksgiving this year since my husband has to work that day and I won't have help picking up a huge turkey and prepping it for the oven. It's really hard doing it from a wheelchair, and that would make it so much easier for me. Everyone else will be here to eat, but nobody comes to help. Hi Jerri117! I am a medically retired RN who is also a w/c user! My husband is a gr8 help, too. Our Canadian Thanksgiving is over, now, and we are thinking of Christmas dinner, planning ahead. In our fam, we do Christmas dinner on Boxing day, as a way of making Christmas Day a little easier and more relaxed. We have 4 kids, 3 are here with us at home. So I told hubby abt this dinner, which looks amazing and so do-able for us, and he's going to watch this with me during our TV time tonight. Pretty sure this will be our Boxing Day Christmas dinner. Happy Sunday, Julia!!! You will REALLY be helping anyone watching this who is feeling overwhelmed thinking about Thanksgiving. Organized, in steps, and easy to prepare -- and it all looks delicious!! I know you are a Godsend to so many!! I usually do a large turkey breast in my crockpot, rubbed with oil and spices, and then I sprinkle a packet of onion soup mix over the top of it. Let it rip until it is done (usually six hours). It just falls apart and makes for easy cleaning of the bones. LOVE your idea of using the breast roast with the gravy packet and herbs. Yours came out just beautiful! And the sides just fell right in line! I got a chuckle out of your stirring with the baby spoon! LOL! 😊 Wishing you and yours a blessed week ahead!! 😊❤

Genius idea for the potato being cooked with the turkey you’re going to add turkey gravy to the mash anyway. We have turkey all year round so I’ll definitely be using your crock pot method.

Wow!!! I never thought it was possible to make a thanksgiving meal that was this easy!! I love the slow cooker method of making the potatoes and turkey together in the slow cooker and then having seasoned mashed potatoes from them cooking with the turkey!! And that is the easiest gravy I’ve seen. The Mac and cheese looks delicious and so do the rolls and the cranberry sauce. Everything is so easy…I always expect to be in the kitchen for hours cooking a thanksgiving meal…thank you so much for this!!!

This is a great meal to make almost any time, especially for company. I like to do a whole turkey, though, because it gives you a place to put the stuffing and the carcass of bones to make soup the next day. My family would have leftovers the next day, sandwiches another day, turkey spread sandwiches another day, and the soup for a couple of days after that. A turkey can allow you to make meals for a week or more if you're planning. I also buy a second turkey for the freezer. I make another dinner in January/February when money is tight after the holidays.

I have used Butterball Turkey breast many times all throughout the year. There is white a white & dark and savory herbs. So easy. This is whole Turkey meat, not a pressed Turkey roll. I like the idea of using the gavey pak in the crockpot

I have no family left so this looks like a crockpot meal for me. I know it’s crazy but I’ve never eaten macaroni and cheese. Just too rich for me. Also never had rolls with a thanksgiving meal. But I make my own cranberry sauce year round. Thx for an inspirational meal!❣️

The turkey breast in the crockpot was excellent! It was incredibly juicy and good, plus it saved room in the oven for everything else. I just had to check the temperature now and then, and it was done at 5 hours. I kept everything the same, except I added a layer of carrots, celery and onions underneath the turkey, and I added the 1 cup of broth. Right before we ate, I also placed the turkey in the oven and broiled it for a few minutes. Thank you for this recipe!

Great job! A couple of years ago, a friend got me doing my turkey the day before and I'll never go back to doing it all on the day of the big meal. Cooked, carved and in the crockpot liner in the fridge overnight. The rack gets boiled for stock or frozen for another day. The gravy is made and the roast pan is clean and put away. Next day, turkey warms in the crock with a little of the broth reserved before the gravy was made. Dessert and cranberries are made ahead, veggies are prepped in advance, and the day goes much smoother. I get someone else to set the table, and my husband loads the dishwasher while we all help clear and put the leftovers away. Then we have dessert and coffee and play a family game!

Where I live a whole Turkey is actually an economical choice despite putting out $30 -40 to get them on sale. It provides many meal options that can be made into several family frozen easy meals for days later. I love Turkey

Such an honor that is! 10 years into marriage and I’ve never once been passed the torch. I want it so much that I truly ache for it every holiday. I was thinking about doing turkey breast in the crockpot for Thanksgiving this year since my husband has to work that day and I won't have help picking up a huge turkey and prepping it for the oven. It's really hard doing it from a wheelchair, and that would make it so much easier for me. Everyone else will be here to eat, but nobody comes to help. It's ok, I love feeding my family and anyone else who can come! I love the tip of making the potatoes with the turkey! Huge time-saver! Have a blessed week Julia and stay warm! 💖

Hi Jerri117! I am a medically retired RN who is also a w/c user! My husband is a gr8 help, too. Our Canadian Thanksgiving is over, now, and we are thinking of Christmas dinner, planning ahead. In our fam, we do Christmas dinner on Boxing day, as a way of making Christmas Day a little easier and more relaxed. We have 4 kids, 3 are here with us at home. So I told hubby abt this dinner, which looks amazing and so do-able for us, and he's going to watch this with me during our TV time tonight. Pretty sure this will be our Boxing Day Christmas dinner. Happy Sunday, Julia!!! You will REALLY be helping anyone watching this who is feeling overwhelmed thinking about Thanksgiving. Organized, in steps, and easy to prepare -- and it all looks delicious!! I know you are a Godsend to so many!! I usually do a large turkey breast in my crockpot, rubbed with oil and spices, and then I sprinkle a packet of onion soup mix over the top of it. Let it rip until it is done (usually six hours). It just falls apart and makes for easy cleaning of the bones. LOVE your idea of using the breast roast with the gravy packet and herbs. Yours came out just beautiful! And the sides just fell right in line! I got a chuckle out of your stirring with the baby spoon! LOL! 😊 Wishing you and yours a blessed week ahead!! 😊❤

Genius idea for the potato being cooked with the turkey you’re going to add turkey gravy to the mash anyway. We have turkey all year round so I’ll definitely be using your crock pot method.

Wow!!! I never thought it was possible to make a thanksgiving meal that was this easy!! I love the slow cooker method of making the potatoes and turkey together in the slow cooker and then having seasoned mashed potatoes from them cooking with the turkey!! And that is the easiest gravy I’ve seen. The Mac and cheese looks delicious and so do the rolls and the cranberry sauce. Everything is so easy…I always expect to be in the kitchen for hours cooking a thanksgiving meal…thank you so much for this!!!

This is a great meal to make almost any time, especially for company. I like to do a whole turkey, though, because it gives you a place to put the stuffing and the carcass of bones to make soup the next day. My family would have leftovers the next day, sandwiches another day, turkey spread sandwiches another day, and the soup for a couple of days after that. A turkey can allow you to make meals for a week or more if you're planning. I also buy a second turkey for the freezer. I make another dinner in January/February when money is tight after the holidays.

I have used Butterball Turkey breast many times all throughout the year. There is white a white & dark and savory herbs. So easy. This is whole Turkey meat, not a pressed Turkey roll. I like the idea of using the gavey pak in the crockpot

I made the turkey last Saturday- everyone asked for the recipe - it was the most tender juicy turkey I’ve ever had! Even better than fried turkey!

I have no family left so this looks like a crockpot meal for me. I know it’s crazy but I’ve never eaten macaroni and cheese. Just too rich for me. Also never had rolls with a thanksgiving meal. But I make my own cranberry sauce year round. Thx for an inspirational meal!❣️

I ordered a turkey breast in my pickup order and I got a 9 Lb turkey 😮.
Oh my goodness! That must’ve been all that they had.🤷♀️
The turkey breast in the crockpot was excellent! It was incredibly juicy and good, plus it saved room in the oven for everything else. I just had to check the temperature now and then, and it was done at 5 hours. I kept everything the same, except I added a layer of carrots, celery and onions underneath the turkey, and I added the 1 cup of broth. Right before we ate, I also placed the turkey in the oven and broiled it for a few minutes. Thank you for this recipe!

A couple of years ago, a friend got me doing my turkey the day before and I'll never go back to doing it all on the day of the big meal. Cooked, carved and in the crockpot liner in the fridge overnight. The rack gets boiled for stock or frozen for another day. The gravy is made and the roast pan is clean and put away. Next day, turkey warms in the crock with a little of the broth reserved before the gravy was made. Dessert and cranberries are made ahead, veggies are prepped in advance, and the day goes much smoother.
I get someone else to set the table, and my husband loads the dishwasher while we all help clear and put the leftovers away. Then we have dessert and coffee and play a family game!

Where I live a whole Turkey is actually an economical choice despite putting out $30 -40 to get them on sale. It provides many meal options that can be made into several family frozen easy meals for days later. I love Turkey
I use the canned milk in lots of recipes. It’s a great choice to make things creamier without adding cream
