Thanks for listening to the Loops with us once more, Tony, and good to see your mind blown yet again by these bad dudes. The MJ vibe is uncanny, and apart from that I’m in awe of their whole songwriting and arranging skills. Yeah, those choir-sounding patches- I wonder if it’s all or partially Jonah’s masterful vocal layering, like Lotta said… Henrik’s beautiful bass sound, his technique and his solo in there (one of my many favourite Henrik bass solos) are just out of this world -Aron’s impeccable playing, Jonah’s divine vocals…. This song is 🔥 in every way. And to listen to it with your ears and understanding, for me brings so much to it. So thanks again 🙏 Hoping there’ll be more Dirty Loops on your channel sometime soon… Cheers ☺️ PS: I believe that live they’re slayin it, totally!
Everybody always mentions how Jonah sounds like MJ, but it baffles me that not enough people seems to notice how much Stevie influence is in that sound. Either way, they're amazing and I really enjoy your reactions to them.
Dirty Loops, they are so goood, i've seen them live in Poland a few years ago, it was freacking amazing musician experience. Thanksss for Your reaction 💪
Saw them live at a small outdoors jazz festival in northern Sweden last year. I'm still slack-jawed. They are insanely good live. Btw, there is a real horn section in there as well (see the credits), just doubled by the keys. And that choir in the beginning sounds a lot like Jonah's voice, so my guess is there are some layered backing vocals by him on top of the keys as well.
@@petraljungberg No, I think I'll wait until they release new material. I just went through major surgery and won't be completely healed until late June, and I also have a long list of other concerts I would like to attend. So much good music and not enough time, energy and money, hahaha.
@@lottawiklund8606 Yes, I had that same thought first but decided to go anyway 😊 (I don’t have a lot of other concerts on my list 😉) Take care and hope your recovery goes well!
Love your musical sense and appreciation man. My favorite reaction channel! Yea, those vocals are if MJ and Stevie had a baby. So much talent and soul in one band.
I have the same sort of stunned laughing reaction to Henrik that you do. All of them, really, but as a hack bassist myself, he’s the one that really drives it home for me.
Saw them perform in Stockholm a couple of weeks ago. They nailed the songs live, two sold out shows in their hometown. Great stuff, so proud of them!😊👍
Thanks for your reaction. This is one of the DL songs I have played the most. Short but beautiful arranged. Did you notice the opening kyeyboard sonds lika a homage to MJ's Dirty Diana!?
@@fiddlestix3025 the concert was more than fantastic! 😍 It was sold out and the crowd consisted of ca 75% musicians and sound technicians (Henrik asked them to raise their hands 😅)! Jonah had been sick for a week (had to cancel a few gigs), but his voice was fantastic! Henriks bass licks - flawless and Aron on drums as well! Walked away with a biiig smile on my face! 😍😍😍
@@sabrinaperoti9776 sounds absolutely amazing!! I’m super glad for everyone who can see them live and can’t wait to go to one of their concerts myself…. and yeah, Dirty Loops would attract that crowd of musicians and sound geeks, for sure -but not just. That’s the nice thing about their music…anyways, thanks heaps for that 👍🙏☺️
Hi Tony. I’m a pro harmony arranger and an ok guitar/keyboard player lol. Only started watching reaction videos about a year ago. Have to say, as a pro of 38 years, yours are the most enjoyable insightful reactions. Like you, I listen and sometimes can only laugh at how they got to this level. Keep up the great vids, Snarky Puppy too. Would love to see you react to the Dan/Donald. If you have I’ve not found it.
Yeah there is not much anyone can say about them but "welp, haha WOW" I am going to see them in a few months. I bought the VIP tickets! Get to meet them, super excited!
You cannot possibly go wrong with Dirty Loops 😁😁 I have a couple of suggestions, I think you would enjoy: -"Vulfpeck": Happy basement funk with some of the tightest musicians I have ever heard. I can recommend the song "Cory Wong" which features (surprise) Cory Wong who you know from some of the Dirty Loops tracks: ua-cam.com/video/AWBUnr0F3Zo/v-deo.html Personally, I also love the song "Mr. Finish Line": ua-cam.com/video/AwssQtRvB8k/v-deo.html But there are so many more great ones, and their videos are awesome too. -"Louis Cole": I don't truly know how to describe Louis Cole, except that he's an amazing drummer and one of the most creative musicians I know of. I recommend "F it up": ua-cam.com/video/IxEIQQkhyeI/v-deo.html "Overtime" with his band "Knower": ua-cam.com/video/GnEmD17kYsE/v-deo.html There's also the "Clown Core" duo, where most people believe the drummer is Louis Cole, and I can guarantee you that you have never heard anything else like it: ua-cam.com/video/hT7x1NvGf5k/v-deo.html -"Lawrence": Brother and sister duo with their band. Gracie Lawrence is the answer to the question "what if Aretha Franklin was a tiny white girl?" I HIGHLY recommend the acoustic version of "Don't Lose Sight": ua-cam.com/video/C01nBm6vV5c/v-deo.html
What can you say, what is there to say that hasn’t been said already.. I’ve been a musician for over 30 years . I’ve song with best of them. I’m just in AWWW……. God the creator is the only one that has an answer!!!!!!!….
Thanks for your reply. I appreciate you from one musician to another. I thanks you & No I’m not sing or recording anymore. I’m a chef now. I definitely cook with my music. That’s how I jam now. Thanks again and God bless 🙏🏾🙏🏾👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽 for the love of Music 🫶🏾🫶🏾🫶🏾🫶🏾
Dirty Loops are the best period, such talent in those 3 guys. Also the little chuckle at "the lick" :)

MJ was never that good
Perfect example of that is in Thriller. 1 verse like MJ and second verse like SW 😊
