May I also point out that the RV1 has got hydrogen buses running on it which means that there are no emissions from the buses on this route. Also the number 15 is/was operated by original route master buses on it.
For tourists wanting to get out of central London and into the countryside, the 465 from Kingston to Dorking is ideal. You can pick this bus up at Surbiton station which you can get to by train from Waterloo. And you can use your Oyster card for the whole journey. The views from the 465 between Leatherhead and Dorking are fantastic. As I always say, there's nothing like a ride on a 465!
All good choices. I've always liked the 453. Marylebone to Deptford Bridge along Regent Street, Piccadilly Circus, Trafalger Sq, Westminster amongst others.
Yess, my man! You have been busy once again! Another fine video on YT! Might I ask you to investigate the number 15 from East London ( I lived in East Ham back in the 80s for a while and remember catching the bus around the area of Mile End or Stratford, can't recall for sure where. However, it was a nice longish scenic route through the East End towards Bank and onto London's Oxford steet and much more. Best of all, the old Routemaster was the ( and I believe still is...) bus which went along that route into Cental London! If you do an updated version of this video, you might want to include the No.15! By the way, that 24 bus route goes all the way to Hampstead which makes for an ideal day out of the West End. And the perfect stroll with a drink when you get off ! Cheers.
I know - I love the 24. Thank you for your kind words about the video. Seems to be a popular one. The number 15 stills runs I see it often - will pop it in the next video. All the best, Syrus ;-)
The Hopper is one of the best decisions TfL have made. I only wish it were expanded to two hours, since the bus is cheaper than the Tube and is above ground and a great way to see London. (I say two hours because of traffic and making transfers/connections). But great advice and thank you! (I live in an area with an integrated bus system and a two-hour window for free transfers via tap card.)
I was in London in August. Very helpful vid! ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️ Indeed i took the 11 from Chelsea to St. Paul’s... but we got diverted onto the Embankment. No problem! But I didn’t see Syrus, unfortunately... ❤️ I got to take the 205, N version, from Mile End to Tottenham Court Rd. Quite a ride through the labyrinth of the City buildings. Definitely take the bus to Tate Britain! Do take any route on at rush hour, and ALWAYS sit in front upstairs. Especially Oxford St! Best, wildest, cheapest ride you’ll ever take! Like being on an elephant going through a field of cats and not stepping on any of them! Those bus drivers are amazing!
Great video, my favourite bus route is 211 followed by 11, 345 and 135 and my favourite bus model would definitely have to be the New Routemasters! Also my favourite tourist attraction is the Canary Wharf Towers as that's my favourite place in London! 👍👍👍
Cyrus, we took a lot of advice from your videos while visiting London last year. Now this one is great information and I am afraid we will have to return to take the advice from this video too.
New subscriber here. Love the personality you put into your videos. They are always full of helpful info for this London newby (coming over Sept 2022) with a little pizzazz added in!
Route 15 - get on opposite Charing Cross Station and it goes all the way to The Tower of London. A lot of the 15s are old Routemasters. Come back on the 15 and get off at Charing Cross again and stay on the station side and jump on a No.9 to Hammersmith Bus Station and you have seen most of London's sights. Just Google 'TFL route 9' and click on map view. I do this every time it's raining or if I am too tired to walk any more.
I think N26 is useful because it goes from Chingford station to Trafalgar Square/Charing cross . It passes Walthamstow market,Leyton library,Spitifields market,St Pauls cathedral,Aldwych and Trafalgar square
Number 38. Victoria, Hyde Park Corner, Piccadilly (Royal Academy, Burlington Arcade, Ritz, Fortnams) Piccadilly Circus, Shaftesbury Avenue (Theatres!!!); Tottenham Court Road, Museum St (British Museum) ... one of the best!
The W7 is the most helpful from Finsbury Park to Muswell Hill. Along the way you can find Alexandra Palace and Crouch End and a short walk to Highgate. Perfect for those stalking c-list celebrities...
There was a bit of an overlap with the 11 and 24, so I’d have kept the 24 going north and connected it with the 73 (Cavendish Square, Oxford Street, Tottenham Court Road, Euston, British Library, Kings X St Pancras, Islington High Street, Clissold Park for the open air café and the Common in Stoke Newington which was the former home of Marc Bolan).
There some nice bus routes, the 14 Putney to Warren Street. The 19 Battersea to Finsbury Park. The small 274 is also a good tourist route Lancaster Gate for Hyde park through London zoo and Camden Town all the way too Angel Islington.
The 15 is good from Trafalgar Sq to the tower and sometimes it's in a old router master, the 88 good from Camden to Clapham Common, I remember seeing a newspaper page about that route and if I remember right it was in a Australian paper
last time I was in London I rode the 82 from St. John's Wood (Abbey Road Studios for all the Beatles fans out there) to Baker Street (Sherlock Holmes Museum) to Oxford street (Selfridges) to Marble Arch to the Dorchester hotel then finally terminating at Victoria station
I have explored 30 different areas of London Stratford Ilford Romford Stockwell White City Marble Arch Layton Laytonstone West Harm East Harm Barkingside Barking Full well cross Chingford Plastiow Oxford Circus Liverpool Street East Beckton London Bridge Stoke Newington Colindele North woolwich Holborn Newbury park Aldwch Hammersmith Manor Park Tottenham Court Road Victoria Walthamstow Clapton pond
I´m visiting London in June. I want to know this: If I get on a bus and I don´t get off during the route. Does the bus leave me in the place where I took it previuosly? Thanks!!!!
0:00 more like a downgrade. This includes useful buses being axed (like the 48), useful buses being cut (like the 45) and PVR being reduced (like on the 4)
a portion of the route is run by the old routemasters. The full route runs from Trafalgar Sq to Blackwall. The old routemaster route(the heritage one) runs from tower hill to aldwych or Trafalgar sq.
Panda Paws somerset house, Trafalgar Square, Regent Street, Oxford Street, Marble Arch and St Mary Hospital in Paddington. Unfortunately TFL are planning to scrap it for another 23 towards North West London
Hello Guy's my name is Mr C. T. May I also point out that the RV1 has got hydrogen buses running on it which means that there are no emissions from the buses on this route. Also the number 15 is/was operated by original route master buses on it.

Or the 320 from Catford to Biggin Hill Valley which goes through scenic places like Bromley common and Biggin Hill Airport
or x68 then 405 or 407 or 466
Some other good routes include 331, A10, U9 and for someone who likes airports, 490!
All good choices. I've always liked the 453. Marylebone to Deptford Bridge along Regent Street, Piccadilly Circus, Trafalger Sq, Westminster amongst others.
Travel on the 47 to Catford for the art gallery of chicken boxes and burger sauce 😂
I live in Catford
Mr. Wray160 oh hello

Really well done Syrus. Super helpful! Thanks so much! Love and cheers! 👍💗😘🇬🇧
This is the best video you made so far in 2018, i LOVE LONDON BUSSES since i was little so keep it up. great video
The 15 uses the old heritage routmasters
Yess, my man! You have been busy once again!

this is exactly what i was looking for. an alternative to the hop on hop off buses! you're awesome...thanks!

35 - Clapham Junction to Shoreditch is good for people who want to see markets in London
Love your work Syrus - this is such a good idea. Gonna check these out next time I'm in London
You are welcome ;-) Syrus
I had been desperately trying to get the routes of these buses and Hallejuhah! you have made my deams come true.Heartfelt thanks Syrus.
The route 121 that starts from the beautiful wood green shopping centre and terminates in also beautiful town of Enfield..
Great video, my favourite bus route is 211 followed by 11, 345 and 135 and my favourite bus model would definitely have to be the New Routemasters! Also my favourite tourist attraction is the Canary Wharf Towers as that's my favourite place in London! 👍👍👍
TheLondonBusMaster135 I like the new Enviro 400.
Cyrus, we took a lot of advice from your videos while visiting London last year. Now this one is great information and I am afraid we will have to return to take the advice from this video too.
Great video! I am not from London, but have taken 4 out of 5 of these buses. My favourite bus route is the number 29.
Well done ;-) Syrus
New subscriber here. Love the personality you put into your videos. They are always full of helpful info for this London newby (coming over Sept 2022) with a little pizzazz added in!
Sadly. As of June 15 2019, the RV1 has been withdrawn
243 Wood Green - Waterloo

Yay! The 205 bus route is my local bus route! Plus I think the 15 bus should have been on this video!
The 24's my favorite bus route!!!! Thanks for including it. (By the way, it'll take you to Hampstead Heath, too)

Routemasters disappeared years ago
I was on a Routemaster No.15 three weeks ago!
Ahhhh good advice ;-) Syrus
I think N26 is useful because it goes from Chingford station to Trafalgar Square/Charing cross . It passes Walthamstow market,Leyton library,Spitifields market,St Pauls cathedral,Aldwych and Trafalgar square
205 goes from Paddington to Bow Church
115 runs from Aldgate - Plaistow Town Hall.
via Limehouse
All Saints
Canning Town
Star Lane
West Ham
Bow Creek
and Upton Park
The # 205 Bus was great for getting from the Heathrow Express to My Hotel near The Kings Cross Station. Thanks
Number 38. Victoria, Hyde Park Corner, Piccadilly (Royal Academy, Burlington Arcade, Ritz, Fortnams) Piccadilly Circus, Shaftesbury Avenue (Theatres!!!); Tottenham Court Road, Museum St (British Museum) ... one of the best!
Ray Lewis 11 is better
stuart balchin The best bit of the 11 was in the days of conductors who could call out “World’s End; next stop: Salvation!”
I do like a number 38 ;-) Syrus
Ray Lewis my brother did that
You could also put bus route 8 and 25 as another one. 8 Bow Church to Tottenham Court Road and 25 Oxford Circus to Ilford
Thanks i will use them
55, 38, 254, 12, 35 for the ghetto bits of london
23 - paddington hyde park corner oxford street piccadilly circus trafalgar square strand st pauls bank and liverpool street

73 is useless just make it withdrawn and 476 and 390 will become busy
For once
The RV1 bus Route has been since been withdrawn from service from the 15th of May 2019
Busroute 11 is a must if I‘m in London.
It‘s sad that TFL stopped the RV1 service years ago.
Bus route 25, takes you past St. Paul's through the city past the Gerkin, through the Eastend on to Stratford and the Olympic Park.
There some nice bus routes, the 14 Putney to Warren Street. The 19 Battersea to Finsbury Park.
The small 274 is also a good tourist route Lancaster Gate for Hyde park through London zoo and Camden Town all the way too Angel Islington.
I forgot about the 274 - used to spend a lot of time on that bus ;-) Syrus
The 15 is good from Trafalgar Sq to the tower and sometimes it's in a old router master, the 88 good from Camden to Clapham Common, I remember seeing a newspaper page about that route and if I remember right it was in a Australian paper
I do love the 15 too - it's like stepping back in time. Syrus ;-)
9 actually goes onto Hammersmith but there’s nothing to see after High Street Ken
Great! Thanks a lot!
Thanks for the video!
last time I was in London I rode the 82 from St. John's Wood (Abbey Road Studios for all the Beatles fans out there) to Baker Street (Sherlock Holmes Museum) to Oxford street (Selfridges) to Marble Arch to the Dorchester hotel then finally terminating at Victoria station
Sweet! Syrus ;-)
evancortez2 nice btw 82 is now called route 13
11 is wrong.11 goes to Fulham Broadway/Fulham Town Hall

This video is actually good
Nice - very useful info
That was brilliant Mate. The next time in Jolly Ole.
You are welcome ;-) Syrus
*btw RV1 seems not to be a bus route anmore since 2019, so make sure to doublecheck*
24 goes all the way north to Hampstead Heath park.
I think you missed no. 23 which is a nice route.
and south a mile to Pimlico. but whatever. You could get a faster Vicki Line train
