@@quentinwalker5804 sweet! Remember, go in with low expectations that being on the water is better than sitting at home, lol. I went out last Saturday and it was slim pickins for me (didn’t get a chance to edit yet). Hopefully it’s better this weekend. Tight lines!
@@hotpolymer No, I think the captain tries to get away from the sharks, but it’s open water and they are thick around this time of the year. They are always around, but it seems to be worse during the summer months.
@@fishingtacklechannel I definitely wasn’t the only one catching lol. Lost the darn fish pool! 😂 I have a second camera set up in the second deck. Waiting to see you drop a longer fishing video!
I have questions bro. 1st are weekday trips shoulder to shoulder? 2nd can u spj on any trips? 3rd is the boat, mainly googans, or are there real anglers with curtesy and have good headboat etiquette?
@@paidslave1217 take everything I say with a grain of salt lol. 1. Weekday trips can still get shoulder to shoulder, if there are big groups coming together (ex. company team outing). You might get lucky and end up going with 19 other people. They need a minimum of 20 to go out. 2. You can jig as much as you want to, but from what I’ve been seeing, it’s been iffy - usually fishing 80-120 ft of water. I saw someone catch a 15+ lb red snapper on a jig 3 trips ago. 3. It’s a mixed bag lol. I sometimes fish next to party boat newbies and don’t tangle at all. I was just on a trip and one of the regulars was obnoxious and people were making jokes about him when he wasn’t around (about how obnoxious he was). Tight lines!
@theanglercrew7059 thanks for the info. Been curious about this boat for a while. I don't have high expectations. Just going to get somebody some headboat and sea legs experience for a yankee capt or American patriot trip.
New subscriber here! Thanks for sharing brother I’m taking my first trip on princess this weekend, I’m pumped!

Really digging the new higher mounted camera. Great content.
@@kkatzburg Thank you. Appreciate the feedback!
Dude!!! You have the mangrove bite down pat now!
@@skunkyaawax4546 No, I still think it’s luck hahah. Maybe a few more times likes this back to back and I’ll start calling myself a regular 😂
Wow! Really nice!
@@allkindsofoutdooractivities Thank you!
@@theanglercrew7059 you are welcome!
That’s some proper offshore mangos. Thought you’d at least won one fish pool for all those times you’ve been out there!
@@pathua7692 Thank you sir! They didn’t do the fish pool the last dozen time I went out on OP. It’s all for fun anyway and I don’t expect to win 😂
the live bait did the trick!
@@sc1742 I think swapping bait did the trick as well. Caught two of them on cut bait on this trip. 👍🏼
Nice Catches...TightLines..
Thank you and tight lines!
Have you noticed any trends that op just goes to some of the same spots just prone to sharks? Or are sharks more in certain months?

Nice! Youll get it next time! Hook size and sinker weight your using?
I use 3/0 - 4/0 for hook size and for sinker, it really depends on the current. I use 3 - 6 oz and I was able to hold bottom with 3 oz on this trip.
Looks like you were the only one catching! Btw, did you set up a second camera or did you hire a second camera buddy? Haha. Nice video.
