    LeBron holds the team back. He is old and everyone has to play at his pace. The game screeches to a halt and everyone is standing around watching. If LBJ was willing to become the 3rd option, and reduce his minutes to 28-30, he could still get a decent stat line and they can play the way they did in the big games they won without him. They can play fast and get everyone a bunch of shots. LBJ is still trying to be the King… but the shoes are too big now. Life long Lakers fan here, been watching since Eddie Jones and Nick Van Exel.

      @@christopheropeterson2816 The team hasn't been in LeBrons hands since they won the bubble. Player personnel, coaching hires, was taken out of LeBrons hands. That's why he signed a long term contract AS SOON AS they won that championship. When lebron has/wants control, he signs 2 year deals, with a 3rdyear player option, in order to keep pressure on the franchise. Darvin ham is a Lakers pick, not lebron. If he's NOT doing his job, HE SHOULD BE HELD ACCOUNTABLE. His JOB is to control that because he's been given the power to make moves for the team. If you watch the regular season, ITS OBVIOUS he is in over his head. Blaming lebron is the low hanging fruit given by the media and Jordan (anti-lebron) stans. Even simple things like knowing when to challenge, calling timeouts, and understanding the 2 minute rules, he just doesn't understand. And you can look at the adjustments Mike Malone makes and it becomes CLEAR that Darvin hamm is/has been out coached. But it's not just Mike Malone. He's honestly ALWAYS out coached in the regular season. It's just that talent has won them those games.

He plays cold players extended minutes. He never calls a timeout to stop a run on the road to keep the crowd from exploding. Doesn't use challenges. I feel that one of the biggest issue with the Lakers is that there isn't a single voice/direction for the team. You have 2 coaches doing 2 different things, Hamm and LeBron. Hamm says one thing, LeBron says another, the rest of the team doesn't know who to follow since, disobeying one of them will have repercussions with the other. If they would just listen/follow Hamm, there wouldn't be any confusion. If something goes wrong, it's easier to figure out who's at fault; was it a particular player, was it effort, or was it a bad plan by the coach. The correction can be made easily, trade, better coaching, replace the coach; the correction can happen faster. Just an opinion.

  • @Arrogan28
    @Arrogan28 12 днів тому +2

    Here is why i hate that footage of DLo.
    D'Angelo had an absolutely brilliant Game 2. He got what like 23 pts, for a guy barely making $17 million a year, whose comparible salary on the Denver Nuggets is Pope who makes the same,
    D'Angelo despite a bad game 3, averaged 12 points a game for the first 3 games... I'm sorry that is exactly where he should be. He absolutely destroyed in Game 2, and do you think he was acknowledged for that effort, before Lebron threw all the role players under the bus already in the post game press conference in game 2.
    Now comes game 3, and already Lebron is pointing fingers at him before the game even started, he knows he is already getting pointed at. Then he misses a few shots, let's put this in perspective, Lebron went 1 for 6 in free throws in the same game, while D'Angelo was 0 for 6. meanwhile Lebron is only throwing crap to DLo, and after Dlo misses a few shots, do you think the team had his back like the team had Jamal's back in game 2 when he struggled.
    In Game 2 Jamal missed like 10-12 shots before sinking one, far higher than the 6 chances DLo had all game 7. And why is that? Because Lebron is not giving him the ball for one, and two after he misses a few. which anyone, incluiding Lebron has done in this series, instead of encouraging him like Jokic did with Jamal and tell him to keep shootint it will come. He attacks him. Meanwhile under support from his team Jamal rallies in Game 2 after that horrible start to end as the hero of game 2, all because his team mates had his back.
    Compare that to the leadership Lebron of giving up and blaming DLo already in the 2nd Quarter...
    So now back to that footage of DLo, there is also footage of that same 'coach's huddle' from above, and guess what Lebron is doing... ?
    Which the media fails to mention at the same time DLo is sitting there already getting yelled at by Lebron for how long before that. Lebron is no where near in the huddle himself, he has his head down, covered, and completely oblivious to what is going on in that huddle as well. That's the real core issue, not Dlo the role player. Why is it that it is Reaves, AD, etc that are at least somewhere present. Where is Lebron by this point? After screwing up himself and yelling at his teammates for his mistakes for half a game already...
    The real problem is not the coach, it's Lebron. If he had an once of leadership, he would been in that huddle, telling his team mates that he is going to do better, that he believes in all of them, and they can do this, that the game is in no way out of reach, they got 20 pt lead in the same amount of time against Denver just 2 games prior, they can do this easy. Jordan, Jokic would tell DLo that they believed in him, and to keep shooting.... You know, they would act like the guy who makes $47 million a year to be 'the guy'... which I'm sorry Lebron is just so not that guy....

But because his power has been gone since 2020 when he sign a 5 year deal, you get a Darvin ham. Lebron KNOWS that schemes and coaching wins playoffs. When your own team seems more enthusiastic to play basketball when you are not on the game this is also a red flag. Darvin Ham is probably not a good coach but the problem is and still will be that Lebron James is a player who has leverage and influence. This is not a problem until you look at the fact that he basically always trade his team and fire his coach when they come short of his expectations. And even when he's responsible he will never take accountability.

Fanbase gets mad at players like Dlo who they never run a play to get open. Lakers will go up 10 with Dlo on court then he gets subbed out and TOs start to happen and Ham won’t put his starting PG back in the game it’s frustrating. We were winning and he was 0-4. He takes one shot in the third 0-5. he takes 2 shots in the last 2 mins of the 4th. 0-7. mainly bc Ham didn’t play him when they needed offense. Lakers have so many low-end, 1-dimensional talent where you play like Reaves and Dlo together, your defense is pretty much compromised. Play reddish, Vanderbilt, your offense is compromised. And what worst is that all those guys aren't exactly elite or mastered their own game, so they really got no consistency anywhere besides LeBron and AD, and they can't carry the team.
    And some could argue that Spo can do better with this team, which he most certainly can, but that's wishful thinking of having one of the few elite coaches. You're generally going to have a middle in the pack coach, so imo it comes down to having having enough talent, which the Lakers does not have.
