Micro N Scale 23" Diameter Model Railroad Scene

- This is my first attempt at building a micro N scale model RR. The layout is based heavily on information from the UA-cam channel "Steves Trains". His channel is excellent for learning how to create a similar setup, if you watch his step by step instructions. His videos for both for the 2 foot diameter setups, and especially his 32 part video series on his 2x3 layout are great learning tools. My pine trees were made from hemp rope and twisted wire, and the leafy trees were wire framed and filled in with Woodland Scenic materials. The signals are controlled with an Arduino Nano processor with infrared sensors at each tunnel entrance. It is a slightly modified version of the arrangement presented on the UA-cam channel "DIY & Digital Railroad" in his videos concerning the "Arduino based Block Signal". This is a very good site to learn about the Arduino and how to use it on your RR. I learned about scenery and waterfalls from the "Luke Towan" channel, which has a series of great scenery making videos. The eagles and nest were made with a hand held 3-d printer (like a glue gun with a very fine glue stick). The ponds and initial streams were made with a clear epoxy, then textured with glossy Mod Podge. Thanks to all for the outstanding instructional help!
I incorporated a lot of types of detail in this small layout, because I wanted to learn a bit about each of them. I have never done dioramas, nor train scenery, nor ever used an Arduino processor. Turns out, it is both interesting and relaxing. Thanks to all the UA-camrs who have posted how to do it videos on all aspects of model RR. Your info is appreciated.
Who is Hot Spot & Hot Grease? Well, we have a friend here in NH who is through-hiking the 2,200 mile Georgia to Maine Appalachian Trail. His trail name is Hot Grease. His friend from Florida is traveling with him and he has been given the trail name of Hot Spot. If you would like to follow them in their journey north, visit their channel: / @twomikeshiketheappala... UPDATE: Hot Grease completed his trip this fall, 2020. Not sure what happened to Hot Spot.

Once again, thanks to all the UA-cam contributors who made it possible for me to be able to construct this train diorama. - Авто та транспорт
Oh lovely! I can so see Steve's influence on your work. That said, you've done a wonderful job learning. It's also so nice to see the Old Man living on in your work! Thank you!!!
I can imagine a really nice Christmas layout for a small tree in an apartment with this layout
Nice 👍🚂🎥👌👍🙋🏻♂️
Best regards Gert
A really great model railroad model. Love the detail within such a small footprint. Thank you for sharing this excellent model. Stay safe
Thanks, Chris.
You did a great job! I am also going to give a micro a try, and put to use some of Steve's tips. Your waterfall is outstanding.
Thanks, John. You can do it!
Bill you are a truly talented modeler,The layout is amazing and fun at the same time
Thanks so much!
Steve taught you well!
Thanks, yes he did. His UA-cam Videos are excellent.
Wow! Thats so cool! Fantastic job bud.
Thanks man. Hope to see you soon at the field.
@@whodgdon I was there yesterday. It's not pretty! LOL
Very impressive. Amazing artistic and crafting talent on display there. I can only wonder how many hours it must have taken you. Thanks so much for sharing.
Thanks! It didn't take too long. I worked on it sporadically thru February. I might have 20 hours in it.
Really good, I've subbed
Thanks, especially coming from a real model RR guy like yourself! I hadn't run across your channel before, it's very impressive. I live in a small house and will never have room for a layout like yours, but one has to start somewhere. Hmmm, perhaps an outdoor layout?....
WHodgdon maybe yes but size isn't everything in this game, your creation is wonderful
