Also me: Bruh, here have you been for the past 45 years?

2:45 my sister and I had a fight over who got to have the Jar Jar Lego figure. I loved him. 😂
I was the same as you. I missed the original movies and was the perfect age for Ep 1. I only went back to watch 2 and 3 because I watched the Clone Wars cartoon with my much younger brother and thought “what the hell?”
I watched the originals much later at Christmas one year and so have only seen the special editions.

Would love to see a reaction vid to Star Wars if I can’t make the Batcave showing!

If you want a true star wars expierence to see the good and the bad. Watch 4 and 5 first. Then jump to 1, 2, and 3, which are meant in this method to be a flash back, and finish with return of the jedi.
This will give you a solid foundation and not overwhelm you.

Its ok man, you are not the only one... For a time my only movie was Ep III... My favorite to this day...
If you want a recomendation, I would say if you are gonna watch the prequels, watch Clone Wars (the original) before ep III...

Oh literally the only ones that are different are the original VHS and everything else. As for what order to watch them in, I recommend the machete order. Watch the original and then The Empire Strikes Back. Then go back and do the prequels, Solo and Rogue One. Then jump forward and finish with Return of the Jedi and the sequels. This won't make much sense now but will once you watch them. Hope it helps!

oh good. you're watching the despecialized versions. nice.
so starting with Star Wars/A New Hope.
    cool.
so I assume you'll be watching in release order?
    I hope you enjoy.

I would recommend watching the Theatrical Stereo release for the original trilogy as well as the 2019 versions, then for the prequels watch the new special editions of Phantom Menace AotC and Revenge of the Sith. As for the watching order I’d recommend 1-6 then the Disney movies, then after that if your still interested watch the shows like the 2003 Clone wars, TCW (2008), etc...
There is nothing wrong with your first Star Wars movie being Phantom Menace, it’s CG still blends in better than movies like Jurassic Park (most of the time), and honestly it isn’t that terrible. Just because other people dislike a movie doesn’t mean you should pretend or really be ashamed of it being your first Star Wars movie. There are those who started with Solo, A New Hope, AotC, and even the Rise of Skywalker. I mean it could always be worse, you could have started with the Holiday Special.

Ig I'm technically alone now, I haven't seen any Star Wars movie, none at all. I have seen the Family Guy ones but that's all parody. But yeah not the original, the sequels, animated movie, Disney movie, the trilogy, none of it. Have been wanting to for a few years but there just isn't enough time in the world it seems (being a father of 2 year old twins, working full time, plus just trying to keep my life together takes up a lot of time)

Don’t worry about not having seen the movies (minus the first prequel one, like you said) my siblings were never into popular things so stuff like bond, trek/wars, who, rangers etc. passed me by and before anyone comments “you’re missing out”, I’ve seen all the things I’ve mentioned and more. I’m only into Doctor Who and Power Rangers (saying that, I’ve gone off PR. And I’m more into Ultra, Rider, Sentai etc. - Japanese Tokusatsu nowadays)

I get it. I've never seen shit like Forrest Gump or Lion King in full. And the way most fans act it's no wonder people dont initially dig it. But stay far the fuck away from the last 3 movies. My god it's a trainwreck.
(And yes this is just my opinion, I really dont want to explain why I hate them compared to the first 6 lol)

If you do decide to watch them, avoid the fanbase at all cost, they're horribly toxic, one of the worst fandoms I've ever seen.

honestly don't get bogged down with the different versions.
if you can only watch the mainstream widely available versions, it'll be okay.
    I wouldn't.
but I wouldn't want someone to go through the hassle.
if you can get Harmy's despecialized versions of the original trilogy, great.
if not, it's not the blasphemy that some fans will chastise you for.

I was 9 when Phantom Menace came out and it's still my favorite. But I love all the original 6 films almost equally. I think the despecialized version of A New Hope is a great place to start. I haven't seen it myself but I've heard good things
