This gives me major oldschool vibes, especially the low tone, extra crunchy guitar. I hope they continue this style, It really does feel pinkertony

    • @mylkwagon
      @mylkwagon 9 років тому +72

+FUNKe Mhm. I really like how similar to pinkerton's style it is. Who knows maybe its like "Thank God For Girls" in the sense it may have been cut from an older album >_>

    • @FUNKe
      @FUNKe 9 років тому +138

+jacob dailey It's likely, I kinda hope it isn't though. It wouldn't surprise me if their next album will have a mix of both new school and old school weezer

But come to think of it, I do detect feels of Pinkerton in it.

Some albums have you wait three of four minutes for the hidden track to appear. Pinkerton had us wait 19 years for it's hidden track to finally play.

+Devin Dhillon Have you heard Tragic Girl? It's an incredible song written around that time that took 14 years to surface (and I can't believe it's been five years since it came out, that doesn't even sound right)

Yeah, pretty much all of Pinkerton's B-Sides are awesome. It's one of those albums that was perfect in length for what it is, but you can tell that they produced a lot of great songs in the same sessions, enough to make a second album (like with Radiohead's Kid A and Amnesiac).

it's actually about meth lol crush up the blue (breaking bads famous blue meth lol) and inhale through your nose is a him doing a hot rail, the not having dinner part lol bud doesn't do that to you. also the line we fall to the floor with our face in a knot is what I believe to be them having widraws and possibly fighting with one another from the lack of meth but, then the course comes in (they get meth) and she asks "do u wanna get high?" thus renewing the love in their relationship

    Crush up the blue
    And inhale through your nose
    Scrape every quark
From the wood in the floor
    [Chorus]
    She said:
    Do you wanna get high?
    Don’t eat no dinner tonight
I took a road trip to Mexico
    And scored a hundred count
    Do you wanna get high?
It’s like we’re falling in love
    We can listen to Bacharach
    And stop at any point
    [Verse 2]
Now our bones start to ache
As we cramp on the pot
And we fall to the floor
With our face in a knot
    [Chorus]
    She said:
    Do you wanna get high?
    Don’t eat no dinner tonight
I took a road trip to Mexico
    And scored a hundred count
    Do you wanna get high?
It’s like we’re falling in love
    We can listen to Bacharach
    And stop at any point
    [Bridge]
Keep on doing what you do
‘Cuz I’ll never get tired of you
    Don’t need booze
‘Cuz I’ll never get tired of you
Stop the tape, kill the lights, close the drapes
And keep doing what you do
‘Cuz I’ll never get tired of you
    [Chorus]
    She said:
    Do you wanna get high?
    Don’t eat no dinner tonight
I took a road trip to Mexico
    And scored a hundred count
    Do you wanna get high?
It’s like we’re falling in love
    We can listen to Bacharach

You could definitely tell it’s not Rivers on Blue and for Pinkerton Matt, Brian, and Rivers did their takes at the same time in the same room.

    Lyrics
    Crush out the blue
    And inhale through your nose
    Scrape every cork
From the wood in the floor
She said, do you wanna get high?
    Don't need no diner tonight
I took a road trip to Mexico
    And scored a hundred counts
    Do you wanna get high?
It's like we're falling in love
    We can listen to Bacharach
    And stop at any point
Now our phones start to ache
As we cramp on the path
    We fall to the floor
With the face in the mud
She said, do you wanna get high?
    Don't need no diner tonight
I took a road trip to Mexico
    And scored a hundred counts
    Do you wanna get high?
It's like we're falling in love
    We can listen to Bacharach
    And stop at any point
Keep on doing what you do
'Cause I'll never get tired of you
Don't need booze 'cause I'll never get tired of you
Stop the tare, kill the lights
    'Cause I keep drift
And keep doing what you're doing
'Cause I'll never get tired of you
She said, do you wanna get high?
    Don't need no diner tonight
I took a road trip to Mexico
    And scored a hundred counts
    Do you wanna get high?
It's like we're falling in love
    We can listen to Bacharach
    And stop at any point
    Sleeping with Mother Theresa
    Drifting in a lone fantasia
    Brahmin you recite the Veda
    Beautiful as euthanasia
