@@JP-hr7ch businesses built on reputation 😉😉😉 I used to work for Perkins, we ordered foreign crankshafts once at 20k each, quality was shocking, went back to original supplier, 30k each 🤷🏼♂️ stick to what you know and don't skimp 😉😉 the cranks were 10 foot long by the way not car cranks 🤣🤣

Big up for Burton Power. In all honesty that engine is more quieter than my 2016 Focus ST with 19,000 mls on it. Always look forward to seeing these Vlogs.
Our MK3 ST's still sound like a diesel at idle like this i4 engine. Not a bad sound, just odd considering it's petrol, unlike the i5 that the mk2 focus ST had.
got a 2013 plate one (pre-facelift), finding unmodified onces are rarer and rarer...35k on the clock here.
No matter how many times you do it. When you hear the engine come to life.....it always brings a smile to your face. Great video.
Wow! Burton's are still around - I had my Cortina, Anglia and Escort engines built by them in the 70's - they were called: Burton Engineering then, great bunch of guys, they really know their stuff...

If youre taking the head off or stripping it down to fit the cam and hydraulic followers, good time to replace the valve stem oil seals too, Rob.
You can change cam without removing head on a CVH Escort done quite a few of them

The Escort sounds great. I'm not surprised at the electrical issues I followed many a ford way back where all the rear light lights flashed when either indicator and brakes were on. 🤣 Big shout out to Burton power. Really enjoying this build. I hope the brake issue is nothing to serious.

I think the first time the car starts is one of the highlights of the builds for Rob - he's always so pleased! Can see its a big milestone in the process and a reward for your hard work. Looking forward to the next stage in the process.
