Perhaps the greatest chorus performance in BHS history. How it only scored 92 in MUS and 95 in PRS is a mystery when viewed through the lens of the passage of time. Brilliantly conceived and flawlessly executed, this should be a "must see" performance for every Barbershopper!
I'm Convinced that (at times) During Mens (and Women's) Beautiful Finals; the judges Sometimes forget and leave their ears in San Francisco .. Its.. Extraordinarily Sad.
An iconic performance! I remember plenty of people thinking this should have won gold that year. If the channel is taking requests, I would love to see them release the 2011 Kansas City performance from Sound of the Rockies that parodied a bunch of prominent choruses and quartets.
It is bothering me a lot. What is the first "Working working" riff from? It's something similar to Sing Sing Sing but it's not that song. Could someone tell me please?
So.. ...the Similarities and Origins (and Differences ftm) might go beyond this; but .. going to Looney Tunes for just a minute. (And I'm Speaking of the "ONLY" Looney Tunes. Of Mel Blanc Origins).. ...if we proverbially direct our attention then, to this Looney Tunes. The Fellow who did the .. Absolutely Nuts Music for this, Carl Stalling; had a working tune with this (more or less) verbatim exact same rhythm, phrasing, tempo, and modulation. Cant remember the working title at present (ha. Apologies for the incidental pun), but can definitely (attempt to) find out working title name if You're Interested
@@michaelcraig310 Thanks! And where is this most popularly played? I recognize it from a specific recording or cartoon. Hmm. This is surely the song. Thank you.

Perfection!
Very clever arrangement and nice concept of a performance. Enjoyable.
What is the name of the first song they sing? I remember it from cartoons as a kid but don't know the origen.
I don't see what the big deal is. My chorus performed without emotion for years.

Carl Stalling Initially created it.
At first I looked up The Sorcerer's Apprentice thinking it was the broom's music.
