glad to see these albums. I cannot stop listening to I am the Night album. I can't get over the pinch harmonic riff in Come on Eyes and the solo is so sick. I think I even hear a Randy lick in the beginning.

MAAAAAN, still have it like new, with the panteras fan club mail sheet, that album have some serious tasteful leads, even better than 88 power metal album!

I dont really care for anything sung by terry glaze. I dont care what he had to say because most of it wasnt it was typical 80s hair Metal. But the one thing on my mind always was how come i couldnt get the first album with Phil until i lucked out and found one at a used record shop at the end of the 90s.
The Biggest and only problems with power metal are this. Some song lyrics were without a doubt left over from Terry and shouldnt have been. all of that should have been tossed out at the same time Pantera decided to write some really good metal. The rest of power metal is entirely Phil. Its 100% his style and anyone who has heard it says the same thing. As far as songwriting goes why wasnt the rest of the leftovers thrown away too? they without a doubt should have given this whole album to Phil, Because any time i hear that its actually him, He nails it. and the band looks ridiculous on the cover. Its also the same question too. why wasnt this look also tossed too at this time when they really wrote some awesome Metal.
I guess what im saying is simple. The band tossed terry glaze but they didnt take out all the trash and give the whole thing to Phil like they probably should have. Thats mistake 1. Mistake 2, That cover that showed up on Cowboys from hell, Probably should have showed up here instead.
As hard as vinnie tried to hide this album, thats the only 2 things he really missed. he never would have had to bury it if he just simply did that. Its so obvious to see.
You fire your singer, becuase he doesnt agree with you, But yet you fail to take out the rest of the trash at the same time.

I used to make cassettes when I was a kid, where I would string my favorite guitar solos together, or best screams or something like that. I dig this a lot. Especially since the earlier Pantera music has really one thing I truly want to hear. Dime soloing. Thank you. \,,/

Everyone asked the band for this right after Darrell was gone. But still, nobody was answered.
But its what everyone was saying endlessly.
Pantera Rocked the 80s, Very much like all 80s Rockers did. Every fan on earth gets it. We always did.
The Brillance of the band Though is Exactly what makes them so great. Most bands in the style of Pantera Faded out of Existance after the 80s. They literally almost starved in the years after that for any show they would play.
Pantera also Rocked the 90s just as good. In 1990, Most bands like this are begging for food. Pantera Instead comes up with something just as good, But basically tells the 90s where its going to go.
The only guy on earth who still didnt seem to want to acknowledge that was Vinnie. Everyone else was saying look, theres a lot of things we dont really get like why we cant get the first album with Phil because every fan on earth should hear it.
After that most people say, We dont really care at all what you guys were like, But every one of us wants to hear every note Darrell ever played because its all good.
So Vinnie still trys to do the same thing. The only thing he cared to do was Release one Pantera song and say its all he had. What shit that was at the time, but almost everyone who saw it didnt say a word.
Now that this band apparently has gone to Phil and Rex, They are so much more receptive to it it seems.
They arent in total denial they are slowly releasing it all as soon as they can.
One thing on Phils Mind probably is why didnt i ever get much credit for power metal. so he did, As soon as he could him and Rex went and released a live video with most of the songs from it.

I think not much would agree with this, but if you try to play these earlier album solos you'll realize that Dimebag Darrell was prime when he was Diamond Darrell. He might have overdid it that time.
