Girl...i tried this one and that wrap around was not "wrapping around".. I forgot my waist wasn't small like yours..lmao...i took the back and cut it into four strips sewed them and tapered the strips into the top..phew!..#fatgurlhack ..i was gonna make it happen chile..thanks for the great videos!

@@ayeeejay ok how did I do it..lol..the part you cut off the back..i think I cut it length wise and sewed it to those front ties..then I trimmed it and finished the edges..and I always try to find 5 or 6xl men's shirts..but lately I been buying fabric...ive done a few of these projects and modified them.

There’s plenty of UA-cam tutorials on how to hand sew so you’ll be a pro in no time if you start practising now 😁

I get them from a local store in Nairobi called Mr Price, they’re the Oakridge brand. They also have links to ship worldwide so their website should be okay to get from as well.

So do we need to size up in the shirt or the size we normally wear
I just made the first one from a rather loose shirt my size and it came out a tad tight imo. I either pull it very tight or I have barely any fabric left hanging off the double knot. So definitely wouldn't hurt to use a shirt one size up as a base.

U should have sew the shirt so in the back it look better.
I personally love the unfinished look, especially when it curls up, if you cut the hem off the sleeves to match it ties it all together (no pun intended!)

Hey Gumi! Been thinking about this & I did a tie strap ruffle top (made from a men’s shirt) which I think would work perfect as a maternity top, it’s super loose & flowy and I think would look so cute with a bump! Hope the video helps in a way ❤️
