I see I wasn't the only victim to a marmot trying to steal and eat my hiking pole! We caught one marmot in the act and it took off and ran with my pole in it's mouth before chasing it about 75 feet before it dropped it. Funniest thing I've ever witnessed! My friend wasn't as fortunate and his pole was stolen by a marmot and was never found. If they tried taking yours, they must have a massive collection somewhere!
When we went into Chicago Basin, it was raining. Nine days later, it was still raining, and it hadn't ever stopped raining. It was amazing, but I actually ended up with green mold between my toes, in spite of washing up regularly.
I climbed Eolus and North Eolus, but I never saw them. It was raining the whole time, and we got chased off by lightning and hail, like Thor was some kinda' pissed. I don't know what we did to piss him off, but we survived it, obviously, or I wouldn't be posting this here UA-cam comment right now. Hey-are you still reading this?
Remarkable narration, thank you!

I love your video, and I'm jealous, but in a good way. I'm 61 years old and disabled, but I used to do what you're doing. Treasure it always.

Great video! What camera did you use?
Looking to do this route. Do you have to take the trail to the trailhead or can you drive and park?
You have to take the train. Need to schedule in advance.
