This hike took place November 1-3rd, 2024.
I used an iphone 11 to film this video.
South Kaibab trail to Bright Angel Campground - 7 miles. This took us 3 hours 32 minutes on the way down, and 3 hours 48 minutes on the way up according to AllTrails, including breaks. We likely would have taken Bright Angel Trail on the way up if it was open, but honestly it was not that bad heading up South Kaibab in early November. That said, I wouldn't dare hike up South Kaibab Trail in any sort of heat.
Day hiking from Bright Angel Campground to Ribbon Falls - 15.43 miles. Including the time we spent cooking lunch and swimming in the falls, this took us 6 hours and 27 minutes according to AllTrails.
We camped at Bright Angel Campground. We got permits as soon as they became available through recreation.gov.
Phantom Ranch was open for snacks throughout the day at a walk up window. The inside of the ranch opened for two hours in the evening for people to chill at the big tables.

I’m too lazy to comb through and figure out which ones I actually used, because the actual song names do not match the names of the sounds when downloaded.
