I am sooooo glad that you are finally addressing the trunk removal kit !!!! It was totally misrepresented to me when I bought my 18 Wing tour last June. I was told that it was a simple "quick release" like the BMW 1600 ktl and it clearly is not. Please let us know when u have manufactured the 15 minute removal kit....I will buy it from you immediately !!!!! Awesome video, Max. Thank you !!
@@seatime674 Because the "bagger" model is severely stripped of dozens of features, and Honda only sells the bike for a few thousand dollars less. It is a very bad value. So people buy the Tour model and remove the trunk because it's a far better value, and the bike is far more re-sellable. Most people do not want a trunkless Goldwing. It's like 25 to 1 or more ratio.
That troublesome nut or bolt that is so hard to get to; watching the video I got the impression (maybe false) that just removing the rear panel, emergency key panel would yield access. No?
I am about to buy a DCT airbag model which i believe has the USB connection in the trunk. when I fit this bagger kit will i then lose my USB connection or have you designed a new location for it to go.
The only bike with the USB in the trunk is the Airbag Model. If you use the trunk relocation kit, it will not affect it at all. There is plenty of slack in the cables.
@@Traxxion Thanks it is the airbag model. will the USB lead have to be relocated in one of the panniers to be able to use it. I really want to fit your quick change bracketry but don't want to lose the USB if possible. thanks for all the videos BTW they have been a great help while I have been deciding which model to chose
@@Traxxion Am i being a bit dumb but when I have it in "Bagger" mode how and where do i connect my phone to the USB lead. Surely the trunk has been removed
@@mikejacks1939 They have an accessory USB cable for the left saddlebag. Or you can put a splitter on your Trunk Cable, and then feed it into the left bag, and tuck the trunk lead under the seat when in bagger mode.
I just bought a Gold Wing which included the trunk. I ride by myself, but I like the idea of having the trunk for storage, and for short trips. So WTF.

yes I thought advertising as easy trunk removal is a bit of a joke
Max, do you now have the Kit developed now that will enable us to do this trunk removal in 15 minutes?
Yes for at least 4 years...
@@TraxxionPLEASE do the trunk removal on the 01-17😢😢
@@seatime674 sorry, we just don't have any demand for it. One or two requests a year.
@@Traxxion All I see is many videos removing the '18+ trunk, why spend all that $ on the new one just to rip off the trunk everywhere?..

@@mikejacks1939 You don't have to change anything. There is plenty of slack in the cable. It stays right where it is in the trunk.
