I've watched most of the videos and have learned something from them all. I have a GL1500 1998 that I bought a few years ago from the original owner that was cherry so I don't have to do all you did. I just keep up on maint. All the best good sir and great job on getting a sad, neglected ,forgotten road warrior back to it's glory. You should be proud!
Thank you very much rick! Appreciate the support watching the channel!!
Awesome job!!!
Great job!
Thank you! Cheers!
Great Job.. Always good to lesrn from people lije you... Love my 1500
Thank you very much for watching and commenting! And we love 1500's here too!
Holy Moly! Outstanding job bringing her back. I put over 200k on my '89. Sadly, I had to say goodbye to her because Ethanol gummed up the carburetors, and it pretty much needed everything you did to yours but couldn't find any mechanics locally who either knew about these bikes or were willing to work on it because she was so old. I used to love detailing mine too. It just made me feel better whenever I rode seeing her sparkle. The metal polish you used is legit and also works wonders on the wheels. Can't wait to see what's next. Would love to see a video if you decided to do anything about the windshield or the seat. I sure love these old bikes. Arguably, some of the smoothest and best motorcycles ever made. I sure miss mine.
Thank you very much for the comment! Yeah unfortunately, most motorcycle mechanics don't work on these older goldwings anymore, so the average rider will have to become their own motorcycle mechanic to work on them :/ I do think that deters quite a bit of people from owning them, even though they are sweet motorcycles. Thank you very much Roger!
From the UK...... outstanding ! 👍 Compelling viewing seeing an excellent machine given a new lease of life, great job 👏
Thank you very much!
Nice job.
Thank you! Cheers!
Rebuilding rather than replacing the starter motor and alternator gets my respect. There are a lot of 1500's in this non running state since it is a complicated and precise machine with a few one way only processes. I am a clean as I go guy. I suspect you did this without much internet help since your path was a bit longer than it could have been. It sounds and looks great---good job!
Thank you very much! I did browse the forums some, but mostly I enjoy thinking through problems and seeing if I can solve em! Thank you!
Great job wow.
Thank you very much!!!
Thank you
Thank you for watching!!
Your happy, laid-back attitude during these videos, has made them a joy to watch (along with the dogs). Chris at VW jawbreaker has a similar style, fault finding and building VW bug engines. Hope to see more GL1500 restorations in future. Regards Daryl
Thank you very much for the comment Daryl, appreciate the support!

Mine is a 1995… spent around 1k on parts. But it’s been sitting in my garage un ridden sadly.
