I am Ethiopian and I don't personally support this port deal. While access to port is critical to Ethiopian economy, peace comes before prosperity and the war is the last thing we wants now. I am not really sure what's in the mind of our prime minister, but this could be his worst mistake of all.

It would be the same as if Somalia recognize Tigray or Oromia region as a country and make a deal with them. Personally, I am confident that Ethiopia will fail, and I hope to witness this outcome unfold. As a result, Somalia will gain even more land, potentially rivaling the size of the Somali Republic in terms of territory. Let us be patient and see how events unfold.
