Not a good idea. An old man who’s pretty much defenceless telling people that he’s well off and carrying a lot of money around with him all the time. In an ideal world he should be able to do that but we don’t live in one unfortunately.
@mrkipling2201 Well I'm sure Harry Howlle was proud of his accomplishments...he probably worked hard for what he had. Did he really have all that much money? All the dirty, filthy murderer probably got was what Harry had in his wallet and the gold watch he got upon his retirement. Harry had a stroke...most likely proceeded by creeping, vascular dementia. which, since the late 1990's early 2000's can be avoided by taking daily blood thinners. They weren't really available back in the 1980's...and if they were...the doses were too high and would actually CAUSE a stroke. So NOW we recognize the VERY common cluster of symptoms: Hearing loss, AFib, then a series of mini strokes.....then a major stroke and all the while creeping, vascular dementia... Hearing loss is terrible for for the brain.....depriving it of stimulation..causing isolation. People with hearing loss also tend to speak very loudly. He needed more care and supervision than he got obviously...if he lay there dead for almost 2 weeks. Very sad. If you have AFib...you absolutely MUST take daily blood thinners or get the procedure called Cardiac Ablation. There's also a device called "The Watchman" All not available back in the 1980's. The first Catheter Ablation was performed in 1981 in California.
Jeanette Kempton was a friend of my mums, we were regulars in the pub. The main suspect turned out to be a one armed guy, but I believe his wife provided him with an alibi. There was also another young mum who was a regular in the pub who was was also murdered, I believe that remained unsolved too. Aint seen this for years, but is this the original broadcast? I always seem to recall a popular barman called Archie appearing in the reconstruction but he was not in this one.
Oh wow...just awful. Who was the other woman from The Loughborough who was murdered? My theory is, someone who was drinking in that pub, over heard Jean's friend give her 400 pounds to hold. The 400 pounds plus her jewelry, the 2 gold rings and the gold sovereign, gate bracelet were enough to cost Jean her life that night. WHOMEVER waited, watched and listened and when Jean and her friend went their separate ways.....he or they abducted her. Yes, Jean was drunk...But I think it would either take more than one person...OR she knew him/her? Did they offer her a ride home...or to The Union? And whoever it was surely had a vehicle. Just my theory. and just awful!...I hope her son's were able to move on from the loss and have good lives. Those 2 kids were robbed of their mother!
Never carry a large amount of money in your wallet, and don't go around telling people you are wealthy! Esp if you are frail and on your own. Oh Harry!
@@CARLIN4737 Sadly, true. I was with the NHS in the 1980s/90s, and the hospital in which I worked hosted a conference of General Practitioners. At the end of the session, we had to confiscate the car keys of one of the GPs because he was intending to drive home after getting totally lashed in a nearby pub during the lunch break. Heaven help his patients...
Michelle Wareing murder was solved a year after. Peter david Heaton was charged with her murder on 8th November 1990.

My mate used to live on the Loughborough road where she picked the wreath up. Long after this case though, so it must have changed a lot.

You're totally correct, of course; but Harry had suffered a stroke, and the mind doesn't work as well as it used to. Sad all around. ☹
