Jennifer was really pretty and sweet, but there was something about her that was amiss, but I couldn’t quite put my finger in it. Then, I realized that she reminded me of the band girl who played the flute in the American Pie movie. LOL. I sure do hope she was able to find one special love that was able to make her feel fulfilled, bc being intimate with several people is like playing roulette with your health. Sooner than later, you will come across someone that is infected with STD’s, and some of them are permanent! I do hope she found a spouse.

@@FingerpuppetsRock How did you end up meeting your husband (if you don't mind my asking)? I think I would have struggled with dating in the 80's. I definitely want to check out your book. Sounds interesting!
@@rosemarywoodhouse4832Thanks for asking! It was at UCLA in 1978, but we don’t actually remember when it happened. We also don’t remember when we decided to get married. Mike says, “It’s all a blur.” I can tell you, one of the best things that I inadvertently did to make myself attractive to men was to say that I never wanted to get married. I wanted to be an actress, and I wrote my own musical to star in: Life is a Low-Budget Musical, which had six different productions, and even has a version with J.K. Simmons singing the lead (ua-cam.com/video/3n62CdgHc80/v-deo.html). I didn’t want to marry, but I did like to party, and Mike and I kept running into each other at weddings, and re-realized how much we liked each other (he is very funny), so we would go to my place in Venice, have sex, and then in the morning he would say something really Republican and I would say, “Never again.” Then a year later, another wedding…. This happened for a few years. For the rest of the story, you’ll have to read: Higher Math, The Book Moose Minnion Never Wrote. books.google.com/books/about/Higher_Math.html?id=pHGVCTvXNMoC&printsec=frontcover&newbks=1&newbks_redir=0&source=gb_mobile_entity&hl=en&gl=ES&ovdme=1&redir_esc=y#v=onepage&q&f=false But for the record, Mike is no longer a Republican. He’s a Democrat and I am more fiscally solvent. Thirty-three years of marriage counseling does make a difference, and I highly recommend it if you want a great marriage and an equitable partnership.
@@FingerpuppetsRock That's a cute story. 😊 I think, with dating, it can definitely help if there is a friendship first. That is so cool that J.K. Simmons was in your play! @@rosemarywoodhouse4832 I realize, in a way, you were also asking the question, “How does one find a good significant other?” And I realize that I inadvertently got a degree in Men because I tried everything to find a spouse even though I was adamant I would never get married (cognitive dissonance). I tried computer dating, the personals (double-dated with Weird Al-he wasn’t my date), Love Connection (both on the show and I dated a writer after being on), stand-up comedy (in the 1980’s, it was pretty much all guys), and more. And then once I found someone, we had some struggles (books.google.com/books/about/Catalyst.html?id=192SmRG3QfMC&printsec=frontcover&source=kp_read_button&hl=en&redir_esc=y), which has caused us to go to marriage counseling for 33 years, and consequently, we have a wonderful partnership. hey Jennifer you should have went into the movies especially comedy you're quite hilarious and also you're a peach blossom
This chick is awesome and beautiful. Why did they give her such crappy choices of guys both times? That's bogus!
The guys were fine, it's her that is the issue.
FingerpuppetsRock oh how wonderful ... just love to hear that :)
We play in a rock band together called Fingerpuppets. You can find us at www.Fingerpuppetsrock.com or on this same channel. We had a gig July 3. I'm just posting vids now.
There's something about her that reminds me a bit of Georgette Baxter mixed with someone else. She is quite a character. Looks like good ol' Chuck thoroughly enjoyed himself. 😂
Did something happen in the three hours between the time you liked me and the time you decided you liked him better? Maybe you broke up with a spouse?
That's pretty funny. A working girl on Love Connection.
Adorable...
She's insane and I love her.
I love her dress at the very beginning of this video!
I won it on the game show Fantasy.
lol that Jennifer is a hoot! such a great and fun personality ... wonder if she ever got married :)
Judi Fotherby For 29 happy years! Next year will be 30. I married a scientist.
+FingerpuppetsRock You first outfit made you look 100% better. The 2nd outfit aged you and wasn't flattering at all.
You do realize this is in 1983, right? Hard to fix it now...
FingerpuppetsRock No, Really? You mean this is fixable. She can't Mandella her way back and have a better outfit!! What? NO!!!!!!!!
@@FingerpuppetsRock I think you looked absolutely beautiful both times. I am a heterosexual woman, so totally not hitting on you or whatever, lol, just stating the obvious. I thought you looked very nice in both outfits. You are so pretty that you could probably make a burlap sack look like high end fashion though. I can't believe they didn't give you better choices of men. Smh. You seem like such a fun and awesome person. I have enjoyed reading the updates you have posted, and am glad to hear you have had such a happy, cool life.
She had great Mini-Tiggs back then...
Miss 80s women!
I love her personality!
She’s a real life Carol Burnett
So, what did you end up with? The fragrance, the Glade Spin-Fresh, the Pledge, or the bath oil?
A scientist from Caltech. Been together 31 years now.
Clever.
Jennifer Ball
oh so you did get married? very good. You were just dating around lots, having fun in your 20s, as one should. your 59 now.
@@jenniferball1700 You have footage from other shows you appeared on such as Crosswits and Fantasy?
Jennifer is crazy!! Hahahah 😄 😄 She's all over the place!! She's pretty, but goofy!😄😄
I would find being around her exhausting
I swear Chuck wanted to date her himself when she said she liked older men, he looked so happy 🤣🤣🤣
No way Chuck had class she was a whack job
Ahh, dating shows with average regular people- you won’t see anything like this today! Isn’t it interesting that body positivity + self acceptance is huge today but any dating show has model centerfold looking folks on it with zero imperfections?
Jennifer, you're hilarious! I hope you still have the same personality!!
Seeing as how you "loved" My comment 2 years later, I had to rewatch the episodes, and I still laughed just as hard as I did when I first seen it. Too bad you and I weren't friends in the real world, I'm sure we'd have hilariously great conversations! By the way, I love the idea of throwing finger puppets at drunk people! (I read that in one of your replies to someone else)
Tiff Covid stopped that for awhile, but I still give out tons of fingerpuppets. Less throwing…Now I research Chinese! Also bias in language. Here are my websites: www.OriginOfAlphabet.com www.HanziFinder.com Fingerpuppetsrock.com
Tiff Let me know if you ever get to San Diego!
@@FingerpuppetsRock oh I definitely will!!!
JENNIFER WAS HAVING TRAINS RUN ON HER AND WAS GETTING PLOWED DAILY. NOW SHE'S IN A NURSING HOME. SHE HAD A GREAT LIFE.
Chris Not in a nursing home. I actually will go to China soon for five weeks where I will do 13 book readings and give three scientific talks on language (with my biz partner, we have made a substructure search engine for Hanzi). I’ve studied Chinese for eight years and taught 453 Chinese college students English. I’ve been married for almost 34 years, played in a rock band with my husband for 35 years, and I have had a great life.
Chris, you’re a jerk
where is Jennifer ball and that guy Alex and the other guy she went out with today what do they look like now in 2016.
your an absolute doll.. %100 sweetheart..i hope you found a good man ...meegwich for the vids...your spirit tells me your a deer ..just like my daughter .her spirit is a deer...that's a great thing in our community..
She could pass as a sister of Stevie Nicks!.... I have to admit, I was rubbing my temples listening to her but I admire her honesty! ....This is classic..."Whoever marries me has to understand, I`m not very faithful but at least I`m selective and there`s only a handful"??!! LMAO!!!!!!
Will somebody please get Love Connection back on GSN!
Jacuzzi...Oops! Jennifer wasn't supposed to say that. May be too much to handle. She couldn't be a loyal monogamist.
Her voice was so strange. Sweet gal but that voice would get to me after awhile
Donna Woodford I was acting. I promised my roommate I would do this because my date pissed her off by calling so many times just to make sure I would say nothing about going in the jacuzzi.
Mirth Roberts Acting. Not my real voice.
1983 - The time when Men had hair styles that were partially in 1983 and other parts of it still trapped in the disco era ..
oh I didn't know that was you! pretty cool to see someone put up themselves on tv!
Hey Jennifer! What was Chuck Woolery like? I always thought he seemed like such a nice man. You are so engaging and funny!
It’s sad to think some of these people are in their 60’s/80’s now. Or even deceased. I hope they all found love.
64! Still married to the same wonderful husband for 36 years this year. Definitely found love! We’ve played in a rock band together for 37 years! Fingerpuppetsrock! Glad to put your mind at ease.
For the rest of the story, you’ll have to read: Higher Math, The Book Moose Minnion Never Wrote. books.google.com/books/about/Higher_Math.html?id=pHGVCTvXNMoC&printsec=frontcover&newbks=1&newbks_redir=0&source=gb_mobile_entity&hl=en&gl=ES&ovdme=1&redir_esc=y#v=onepage&q&f=false
But for the record, Mike is no longer a Republican.
He actually is a pretty good singer. I appreciate the link to your book and I am looking forward to reading it. Thanks so much for your reply!
And now I’m late for my second Chinese class of the day! Thanks very much for your nice comments!
Best laugh ever, funny and nutty😀
She so reminds me of Julia Childs.
Chuck Woolery likes her :)
+LittleLulubee Agreed, I've never seen Chuck act that way with another contestant. He wanted to take Jennifer out himself it appeared!
I think he felt sorry for her
I think he like her because she was interesting and fun.
Now I know what’s been perplexing me all my life and this gorgeous lady just told me … ‘COMPULSIVE INTIMACY’ explains a lot! 🤗 Too nice, too kind, too friendly and too much information. Hubby’s friend stopped me one day and said ‘ that’s too graphic’… so that’s why I started to listen more than I talk, therefore I’m BORING!
Don’t let them squelch you! I say, “Why censor yourself when everyone else is so willing to do it for you?”
@@FingerpuppetsRock Thank you so much, I will remain my ‘unboring’ self and enjoy… bless you. 🫵🏻 💃🏻🕺🥹😘
Jennifer you are hilarious & delightful!
I would sure like to know more about this woman. She was brutally honest and full of personality.
What would you like to know? I have 300 vids on my channel. Rock band, pig, drug discovery, Chinese. It’s all there.
she was adorable..a girl that could make you smile all day long.
hot rod daddy She still is!
I'm falling in love with her; what a fun, colourful and wonderful personality; she's great! :-)
She would have been better in "Three's Company" than Suzanne Sommers.
I swear her and I are the same person, it's so weird. Especially after reading her book.
Laura Gore I have two novels. books.google.com/books/about/Higher_Math.html?id=pHGVCTvXNMoC and books.google.com/books/about/Catalyst.html?id=192SmRG3QfMC&source=kp_book_description. Working on my third. Thanks for reading!
OMG... she is amazing lol.
Imagine how often I've heard that at the age of 53...
SHE'S FABULOUS
“Three transients” hilarious
I was watching a Lucille Ball interview/show taped at UCLA in 1978 and one of the students in the audience who questioned her seemed very familiar to me, and sure enough I was brought back to these 2 Love Connection shows Jennifer did in 1983 that I remember seeing on here a few years ago. You have such a fun (and memorable) personality. :)
Michael X Yep.
Michael X Thank you, by the way. Trying to still be fun! Now I throw fingerpuppets at drunk people (we play in a rock band called Fingerpuppets). I am trying to civilize the world one fingerpuppet at a time
She seems like she would be so fun to hang around
I love her voice!!
I love Jennifer's personality so funny.
I think that Jennifer is an actress. They hired her to spice up the show.
I was trying to be. Everyone on this show is pretty much trying to be an actor. And that goes for most game shows. Who else has the time to waste?
she is terrible
